Finna get a hd7 or mytouch 4g,I love this phone,but I must move on.help guys..no meanies...only good opinions.

I don't get what you're asking? Are you asking the G2 forum for suggestions on phones that are comparable that are gonna trade with you?
If so, you've given us absolutely 0 information about how you want to use the phone or what features you're looking for...
And on top of that, I don't think you're going to find many people in the G2 Forum who think higher of a different device.

If I were you stick with this phone. I have an hd7 and don't use it so I sold it. Windows phones are just straight up boring. Mytouch 4g. Only real diffrence is screen is little bit biigger and no keyboard

Well I'm one of those people that likes to have different phones every now and then,so its either the hd7 or the mytocuh 4g,any suggestions will be appreciated.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Haha I see. From my personal experince with the HD7 it was a good phone but your limited on what you can do, for example the market is all most all paid apps. As for the mytouch 4g there's no reall diffrence since both are android platform but it uses modified sense ui by t-mobile. (I like stock sense since it has more options.)

You want newer hardware or software? I'm running evil's G2-4G rom. It's the mt4g rom running on a G2.

Hardware wise, new phone,a hand with a new device.

Get the mt4g. I have both g2 and mt4g. Both are fast. Both are nce.
I use my g2 for my day to day browsing emailing gaming hacking etc.
Mt4g is the work phone. Rooted running latest iced glacier with mysense uninstalled and adw with honey comb theme. Its nice

Dont get a MT4G its too similar to a G2, hardware wise. My recommendation is get a Nexus S, if you want to try something different.
HD7 is a windows phone and those are just boring. I agree something different and good would be the nexus S. If not then just go with the mytouch 4G.
Id wait a bit for something else to be released. Moving on from the G2 to something else right now is not really much different. If u insist, get the mt4g. I won't buy a windows phone too locked down and they are pigs.
From my permarooted 1209mhz G2 with CM7 nightly 6
Well guys I decided to go with a mytouch 4g, brand new deal.traded the g2 for a hd7.played with it fire a few days, and got bored and traded that for a mytouch 4g..

How are you liking your mt4g? I am thinking of doing the same thing. I prefer the G2 but I want/need an ffc. Between voice input and Swype I do not think I need the physical keyboard as much anymore.
G2 has 512mb ram
Mt4g has 768mb ram

What about the incredible S? Seems like a better mt4g
Samsung or HTC?
Yeah dude why not get the latest 4g phone?

I read a lot more about the newer htc devices being made not very rootable.... if this is true where do we go from htc? Samshitung or ****ty erricsson? Motofailure? Lg?

Motorola is even more locked down than anyone else. HTC is the most open probably.
Sent from my G2 running Cyanogenmod 7.
This locking down these devices totally takes away from a true android reason for existence right?
I say companies should if anything charge 100 bucks more for a prerooted phone, and cut the warranty in half if they are truly that scared. I would gladly pay extra for a rooted device new out of the box.

The wizards here at xda will all ways find a way, the desire z and hd had extra security and it was cracked. The Htc thunderbolt has recently been rooted to.
It is a worry though I would hate to have to stick with stock. But hope fully the nexus product line will continue so there will all ways be that option assuming that Htc make them from now on.

I have total faith in the people here at xda, but still is alarming that I read this stuff is locked down more.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the current nexus phone a samsung?

Yeah it is, what I meant was that hopefully htc will get to make the next one and not samsung

My Vibrant was very easy to root, modify, and most importantly, restore to stock. If it had a physical keyboard I'd probably still have it. The sense I got from the community there was that it is one of the easier phones to work with (except for the whole Samsung never upgrading it or releasing the full source code).
The g2x is supposed to come with the bootloader unlocked so I would put my money on LG
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA Premium App
lg releases source on day one, unlocked bootloader, and gives an almost stock aosp feature out of the box...
I have the htc g2 as of right now. Originally, I only got the phone because of it's physical keyboard, but now, I'm kind of finding want of a larger screen. Don't laugh, I know there's a few mt4g owners out there that want a keyboard ;P well, my phone is already perm-rooted, but id trade for a stock mt4g if the owner is desperate enough for a keyboard xD

If you ever feel up to it, just hit me up ;P I've loved the phone so far, but the screen just doesn't meet my standards. As far as performance goes, cyanogen himself has a g2 ;P oh you don't need to return to stock, I'm willing to trade for a rooted phone. I'm just cautious cause I don't want to accidentally trade my working g2 for a bricked phone and have no one to blame but myself xD

You know the screen on the mt4g is only .1 inch bigger right? I mean it is noticeable... But was thinking if the screen size is what you want you can check out the Vibrant 4g or NS. Or a Vibrant 3g and you could get cash on top in exchange for your phone. Food for thought is all.

I was thinking that too, but the only other phones with larger screens for tmobile were either samsungs or windows. So uhh... no thanks. Haha xD plus, I don't wanna downgrade if I'm gonna trade. Even with money. i already paid for a 4g data plan xD

After about a week of use my sgt got water under the screen or something. Should I return it
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Considering that the screen is sealed/glued to the glass its hard to substantiate your claim.
Other people have had this problem too. The screan leaked
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Again, there is no kind of liquid "leaking". It requires an education in physics to understand what the issue is instead of making assumptions out of thin air. You can start by reading http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton's_rings
When I turn the tablet the liquid goes to the bottom... I'm just asking if I should return it

Does it look like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130230 ?
If the "liquid" is "Moving" it might actually be water under the screen. But the only way it could have gotten there is from water damage. A picture would greatly help us diagnose this.

Hey guys,
Since a couple of weeks I have some dust between the screen and the glass. You don't really notice it, but when you pay attention to it, it anoys me .
Does anyone know how I can solve this? If it could be done.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Don't remember exactly but if you search there are several threads. I remember having to take the phone apart
I have the same problem. You're probably going to have to open the phone and clean it.
Sorry couldn't find any threads about this.
I will try to find it an check for an how to thank you

just google/youtube htc desire z disassembly
I'm going to the t-mobile shop tomorow, I don't want to disassemble my phone. Way to risky I think
Do you think I have to unroot and s-on again?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I had this problem. Sent it in to T-mo and they replaced it with a refurb for free.
You'll have to unroot before sending it back.
