hi,
since updating to 2.3.4 the "screen off" animation has changed.
it is no more the effect like an analog tv fade out...
is it possible to restore that animation?
anyone an idea?

Yesterday I flashed my Leo with a custom ROM. Everything works great except that the weather animation (on the Home tab) displays only once. Any idea how to loop it? Maybe a specific key in the registry? Any help will be appreciated as this is the last thing I need to do to be complete
Unless I misunderstood your original question (sorry in advance if I did!):
I'm pretty sure to conserve battery life the weather animation only happens once, if you press the windows button to access the menu, then back to the home screen it then restarts the weather animation for one cycle, as does coming out of the lock screen.
I'm not sure if there is a registry edit that allows it to go on loop, I would be interested in this as well actually.
Exactly - it would be really great to loop this animation.
Hi everyone,
This is my first time posting a thread in XDA and please pardon me if I have posted this in an inappropriate section. I have an issue regarding with the screen on animation. As for screen off animation it is working fine but whenever I switch on the "Screen on animation", it doesn't have that CRT animation. It will just switch on as normal as in normal screen waking up. I know this is not a big issue but it is kinda bothering me. I have tried the latest MIUI Rom as well as CM7 roms. In both Roms, the switching off animation is working fine but not the switching animation. I have searched high and low for the solution but no avail and posted the same thing in other forums too. Any solution for this? Thank you.
I think you can't see the Screen on animation cause of the "wakeup lag".

I just checked it, and I think you're right.
If you're unaware if you've got the wake-up lag (happens with the auo display):
Code:
dmesg | grep panel
In gscript (lite) or Terminal Emulator
You will see a bunch of lines with some text. In my case:
auo_panel_init
msmfb: turning on panel
auo_panel_unblank
auo_panel_blank
(and this will repeat twice)
I have a questions for the folks here that use the Liberty ROM. I dont know exactly how to describe my problem, but I will do my best.
With the liberty ROM, there is a CRT screen effect when you hit the lock screen button on the top of the phone, once you hit that button the phone then displays what you would see if you turned off a CRT TV.
I just updated to Liberty 3 v 1.0 and everything was good and dandy until I changed the font and boot animation through the ROM Toolbox. Once I rebooted the CRT effect disappeared.
Is anybody else having this problem? I have searched everywhere and do not see any type of setting for this CRT effect. Is there a way to change the boot amination/font and still keep this feature?

Hi guys,
it might sound stupid and not worthy for this forum but it's very annoying. Ever since i updated my tablet's firmware to android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean (P.M for more info) I cannot stop the screen from rotating. You know when you wanna have a nice lie down with your tablet but the screen doesn't and it keeps turning into portrait position? Want to lock it in landsape ? I can't . I open the 'scroll down notification centre' and turn off the screen rotation.
The setting changes in settings screen, yes, but the screen still changes! please help me as I'm getting an overdose of this annoyance. How do i fix this?
Thanks for all help,
