Running CM7.1 with the latest Clockworkmod recovery. Trying to do a factory reset (or flash a new ROM or anything in recovery) but when I select any option, all I manage to get is a black screen with this image.

It doesn't appear that anything is happening or processing when I get this image and now the phone will only boot into HBOOT. Of course, from there, I can get to recovery, but if I select anything, all I see if that image above.
The problem started when my sd card got crushed when out of the phone. I got a new card and plugged it in--but it doesn't have any of my old files/backups, etc. on it.
Do I need to reformat the new sd card? Do I need to have any specific files on it in order to be able to actually get things working properly again? Is there a file I could rename "update.zip" and drop onto the sd card to get through this?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ok i found the problem, i made the script to just copy over the files but have now edited it to delete the old app and lib first.
I have tested 4 times and all working aok..
You may need to install the original GB Music.apkV2.zip first as this deletes the associated lib then reboot, then install the new music.apk from honeycomb.
Everyone else should not have a problem.. This directly relates to Michelle..
Enjoy! And hit that thanks button!! lol.

Any alternate links to this RUU?
My ISP is blocked "403 forbidden". Hate Comcast.
Well, this might not be big to anyone else, but this update has a significant fix as far as I'm concerned: L2TP IPSec VPN connections would not work with the ROM that shipped on the phone.
It works now!
Thank you SO much!

Still 403 forbidden on this link as well :/
The alt download link will be a temporary link based off your session.
Just go to the Chinese web site and click on the link that, when you hover over it, says something like "...[P05IMG]Mecha...".
I don't mean to scare anyone, but I just need to put this out there because it would simply kill me if someone else suffered because of my inaction:
If the download isn't 400MB then cancel it immediately - do not run it. No joke, I was literally passing out at my computer a month ago downloading one of the earlier T-Bolt RUUs and accidentally downloaded the 115 installer or something. My laptop touchpad was sensitive so I accidentally ran the installer. About a week later I started getting my keys logged and a Gmail account deleted (that I have gotten back thanks to a contact at the company). This can't be a mere coincidence.
It's not a major concern - just click the link in the area that one fellow poster demonstrated in a post on the last page. That's the link you want to click - do not click any others and you'll be fine.
Was just a matter of time before someone would build a malicious version of the image with some crap in it. Kinda funny sometimes how we're all anal about security but we trust an image from a chinese website.

It's simply not possible to flash anything but signed images until you have s-off (perm root). In other words, if this flashes properly, it's real. If you want to understand why, read up on asymmetric cryptography and PKI.

Welcome to the Real World - it is not possible to do that.
Exe on Android? That's easy:
Just set up a VMWare-Virtual Machine with 154.7 Terabyte Memory and link it to the external SSD.
Then connect the high-voltage-cable from next power plant to your butt, switch on the Apollo-Kernel and...
... you are finished!
Man learn the basics and come back. Sorry if sounding harsh. But you can also ask how to teach an croc kissing.

No, this could end in a hardbrick.
You can use any dosbox-port to run old exe's. For new stuff just rdp to your computer using rdp or vnc.
I'm sure it's possible to hack together a way to do this, but I doubt it's worth the effort.
The real question is: Why would you WANT to run exe files on your phone?
Anyways, IF it is possible....Google would be your friend in this situation.

Ofcourse .exe can be run.
Trahzebuck shame on you for giving stupid advice.
U need to flash Half-Asylum build 0.3g. Reboot into recovery and then flash hydrawhore v7 beta.
Reboot.
Toggle Airplane mode precisely 3 times (MOST IMPORTANT STEP)
reboot again.
now you can simply push an exe file and enjoy your program.
Hope this helps.
Press Thanks if it does.

Well i came to the conclusion thats installing the gapps was where i was going wrong. I now have it working and keyboard works fine now trial and error prevailed prob risky but hey figured it out in the end. I now have CM10 4.1 running on it if there any known issues maybe someone out there (if there is anyone besides me lol) would b kind enough to tell me and maybe advise me on another ROM or a better ROM to try. Probably not spam. Translation maybe?
If you try flashing CM10 and you can't accomplish anything because your keyboard is force closing, it's probably your gapps.
You need the 4.1 gapps, not 4.2. CM10 is not 4.2.
That is all.
yeah..check your version..

if you can't see the difference, you don't have OCD about little details like i do
see attachments for download.
bootanimation.zip is just the boot animation file if you want to push it to your system partition manually.
google_bootanim_fixed_flashable.zip is flashable via TWRP or CWM.
enjoy!

Personally, I'm not sure how Google let it slip through the cracks looking like it did. It makes it feel like an unfinished project, and it lacks fluidity. It's like when you're about to sneeze, then you suddenly lose the urge - MADNESS!

I know, I'd rather use yours if I wanted stock-looking boot, I just provide the actual stock boot as a resource in case someone that uses my BIOS boot needs it (which is only the case when I corrupt a zip file).
I have quite bad OCD but I literally never noticed this until now! Probably cause I rarely turn my phone off so never see the animation!
