US Tmobile Tab voice & WIFI Data?

I would love to have the option of using my tab to make calls (a common sentiment). I know that using Rotohammer's instructions I can unlock it and flash the european rom to get the voice to work but I would lose the ability to use data. Right now I never use my tab over the wireless network. When away from home I typically make my mytouch4g a hotspot. With that said, can I use the tab for calling and wifi for data?

Yes, you can to use GSM phone and Wifi data.

Flashing the Euro rom on a Tmo Tab will only make you lose 3G data, you'll still get 2G EDGE on Tmobile.
If you have an ATT Tab you can flash the Bell modem and get calls and get 3G data.

Phone is unlocked and gets signal but no edge data on ATT

I unlocked my MT4g a while back using gfree and now I am going to sell it. I'm on ATT now so I went to test out the MT4G and make sure it is still unlocked but I got weird results. I get a signal with my ATT SIM card and it makes calls fine but it won't connect to data at all. If I look in the network info under settings it says the provider is ATT and the network is EDGE.
I tried turning on/off airplane mode, tried unrooting my phone and flashing a stock image but nothing has made a difference. I also tried my friends T-Mo card and it connects to EDGE and HSPA just fine using that so I'm not sure what's up with it.
I did use EDGE on this phone in the past with my ATT sim card so I have seen it working before, can anyone think of anything that could be stopping it from connecting to the EDGE data now?

Did you check your APN settings? You may need to edit the APN setting for ATT Edge network

Need to help internet on tmobile flashed tab

Flashed Tmobile tablet to make phone calls everything work on it except the internet. It work on wifi but not on edge. I have used my sim card in other unlocked phones like nexus s and galaxy nexus and the internet work so why cant the internet work on the tablet. PLEASE help

Have you checked if the APN is correct?

Can anyone offer up any theories on why my phone can get 4G LTE during phone calls, but immediately reverts back to 3G as soon as I disconnect my call? I'm on G900V Dev Edition (with LOCKED bootloader... another story) rooted, running ACHERON's latest, but it has done this for a while.

sounds odd.. you mess with any volte or anything related to the data? id say its the sim but im sure thats not it bcuz you most likely wouldnt get lte at all.. i know your phone cant use 3g wile on a call but thats odd behavior for sure that it wont stay on lte

Mine does the same thing. G900v on straight talk verizon towers. It had 4G before a reset. Now 3g and 1x but 4G during calls.

I removed the Sim and replaced it applying a little extra pressure to it. I haven't had any problems since.

VoLTE on Unlocked S8 Through Straight Talk

I was wondering if there is a way to get VoLTE working on a factory unlocked S8 that is using a AT&T Straight Talk SIM card. Right now when I make a call, the data goes to 'H'.

Anybody?

I'm not sure if it's possible but have you tried carrier switch your unlocked S8 to AT&T firmware. That's the only way I could get it to work on my unlocked S8 but I do have AT&T though as a carrier

How did you get it to work on att? I am on att as well and it does not appear to be working after carrier switching my unlocked S8 to att branded also wi-fi calling does not work.

It worked for me the first time but then the second time I went back to the Oreo beta they went back to AT&T I was only getting H after that when I was calling so I had to borrow my wife's phone IMEI and they provisioned it and it worked again

so how exactly do i go about doing that? I assume this involves calling att or going into a store and giving them the imei from another phone? Does the imei you use have to NOT be already used or can it be in use by 2 phones at the same time? Also so far we have not even told att about this phone we have just moved the sim card so wouldn't they still have the imei of the old phone or do they pull that automatically OTA? If they do pull it automatically then whats preventing it from getting updated again?
