Hi all,
I would like to know if there is a way to update indvidual stacks on a Windows Phone 7.5. I have Mango but my devices, radio, bootloader, firmware etc are all way out of date.
Is there a way to side load or update the indvidual stacks?

I have a xda to repair.
problem is that the radio stack upgrade failed.
i have installed the pcc2003 rom wich lets me boot into windows
(ppc2002 roms dont allow this. They seem to wait on the gsm to turn on)
now i could install the radio update. each update fails (latest series)
i know from way back that the older radio updates had a different radio update procedure. I also know i fixed a lot of radio update errors with the old update
where can i find old radio updates?
older then Radio_Unit_Upgrade_v31703.exe
Let me know if you find it, I need it also, I found the stack previous to 4.21 but it gets to 1% and fails.
have a look here
http://www.sourceo2.com/O2_Developers/Devices/O2_Xda/xda_ROM_Archive.htm
Radio_Stack_Upgrade_V416.exe.exe
i tried this one already
it is an older version, you have to press start to start the radio update
newer ones start directly
i think we still need a little older
I have JF 1.5 Developer flashed onto my phone and have changed some images in the framework-res.apk
and i have noticed an issue with bluetooth where it will connect to my JVC hands free and i can dial number and awnser calls through it but the audio is still going through the handset.
It was working before i rooted my phone.
any ideas.
I think i may have found the issue, i didnt upgrade the radio when i flashed JF 1.5
Taken from HTC who JF got the developer build from
Each Android platform version is designed to run on top of a specifc version of the radio firmware. Typically, each successive release of the Android platform relies on a newer version of the radio firmware, so whenever you are planning to flash a new system image to your device, whether upgrade or downgrade, you should also update the radio firmware to the version expected by the platform. If you do not update your radio image, the system may encounter problems.

well updating the radio and flashing back to JF 1.5 has fixed the BT problem so it must have been something to do with the mods to the framework-res.apk or the android.policy.jar that screwed things up.
Ok, If you are thinking about flashing one of Ansars ROMs then consider this first.
You may never be able to update your phone via Zune again..
Many users are experiencing Error 80180048 when attempting to update via zune from version 7008.
One thing they seem to have in common is that they have flashed one of Ansars ROM's
Here are some examples...

Plus a number of others on this site...
I have asked for assistance from ansar, and he provided another ROM, which caused even more problems and caused my device to not be detected by Zune or windows.
I know ansar works hard on these ROM's, but I think its important they you all know the risk and don't get stuck in the situation I am in, where I will now have to purchase a new handset.
Ansar: If you can at least acknowledge this issue and confirm that you are working on a fix that would be great, otherwise I believe this Thread is important as a warning to others.
Thanks

Agreed. Verizon Trophy users flashing 0.82.605.02_Radio_1.25.00 are left with unusable devices until an official ROM is able to be flashed.
Be warned.
I flashed my trophy a few times ..
1. RUU_Spark_HTC_Europe_1.10.401.04_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10U_by_ansar
2.to NoDo via zune
3. Zune (nodo) to mango
4. forgot to unlock it before
5. We are back at RUU_Spark_HTC_Europe_1.10.401.04_Radio_5.52.09.16_22.33a.50.10U_by_ansar
6. NoDo via Zune
7. Zune (nodo) to mango (unlocked this time)
So i guess everything fine here
Ok, So the solution for me here was to Unbrand my device with a "Y" Cable and flash
RUU_Spark_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.00_Spark_5.54.09_RELEASE.
Once I was on this rom, I was able to update no problem through Zune to 7392.
Basically the ROMS by Ansar seem to be problematic and he isn't willing to provide any support. So, I suggest avoiding flashing them, unless you want problems in the future.
Still have not received the mango update. I've been searching and researching this issue for more than 4 months with no luck.
When connecting to zune, it says my phone is up to date with current software version: 7.0 (7392)
i have tried the "walshed" phone fix but that was not the issue.
also, the phone doesnt seem to have full functionality with WPDM and whenever i try and install a .xap file, the application wont launch after being installed on my phone.
the reason i am this desperate is because i want to back up all of my text messages on this phone. my mother passed away recently and it would means a great deal to me that i keep those conversations. if i am able to do this without installing mango, then that is fine by me.
my logic in installing mango is that all of the latest apps such as smsbackup require an unlocked mango device.
i have tried installing WP7 Root Tools so that smsbackup is able to operate on this lg device.
any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance

To backup all SMS and all messages in Messages tile, use SMSBackup. Then try to flash your phone with Telstra ROM, here is the guide.
Note #1: Your phone must be network unlocked first before flashing because you might not be able to enter unlock code once you flashed it to Telstra ROM. The only solution is re-flash to its original ROM then enter unlock code then flash it to Telstra ROM again. You can buy unlock in Ebay.com and price is as cheap as chip.
Note #2: The reason that I suggested Telstra ROM is because it is the only network that give the latest Mango update for LG Quantum, but no sign of Tango.
I recently bought a used Verizon HTC Trophy. I registered it on Verizon and it works fine, both voice and data.
I suspect it may have been a developer phone. If it is I don't mind, but I do mind that I cannot update it using Zune. It keeps telling me that an Update is available (Mango), but when I try to update via Zune it fails with error 80180048.
The phone particulars are as follows:
OS version 7.0.7403.0
Firmware revision number 2305.06.10310.605
Hardware revision number 0003
Radio software version 1.52.00.01.16_23.13w.05.06U
Radio hardware version 3.2.3.D4
Bootloader version 1.3.230506.10
Chip SOC 2.3.0.5.6
The phone also has the following apps installed, which is why I think it may be a developer device.
zGestureBester
zSensorView
zServiceTools
zStartKIGL
Finally, when I turn the phone on it shows the bootloader version and the modem version in the uper left corner of the HTC splash screen.
I am wondering if the bootloader version (or firmware version) is keeping me from upgrading. I took a look around the internet and did not see any references to the .10 version of the bootloader, but I did see post which mentioned that the wrong bootloader can mess up Zune updates.
My preference would be to revert to a simple consumer phone, but at a minimum I'd at least like to be able to get the Mango and HTC radio updates onto the phone. Any suggestions would me much appreciated, and sorry for the noob post.
Thanks
