I am surprise any dev has any solution for the annoying netlink event error logs
Just wondering!
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I made a thread about it, before a couple of days, and nobody answer!
It is too annoying. You cant even check other stuff on logcat.
And may affects battery life..
What causes that thing?
And how much code is running each time this log is printed?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1261846&highlight=netlink
It runs EIGHT times in a single SECOND!!!
Yeap I know I try to debug it do some hack here and there but nothing yet!

hehe.. +1 ..
i was trying to debug an apk i was creating, and i had to put \n\n\n\n before and after each log i was printing, to make my logs focusable, on that mess..
And that problem is on Gingerbread.
I dont know if it is from the OS by itself, or its the custom kernel i use..
On froyo, logcat was very very clear..
I hope CM7 is okay.. Can a user of it confirm it?

I just messaged SmartBench 2010's developer and linked him to this thread. I updated my SmartBench and replicated the problem.
He's a pretty cool dude and I know he'll make it a priority to fix it.
It looks like he implemented a fix to prevent cheating and unfortunately it thinks we are!

Ouch, looks like my "preventing cheat" code isn't working on the Epics... I'll make a quick update and bump up the version. Thanks for reporting the bug, guys.
Ok, I just published a version that essentially disables the "prevent cheat" code. I need to think harder on that one...

Updated, tested working great! Thanks for the quick fix, and we're glad to hear you're stamping out cheaters. It's always refreshing to see the level of support you provide for your application.
Yeah I have to say I didn't expect to see it fixed so fast I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something with the rom......my hats off to you.

Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Its nothing like Quadrant actually.
Its more to do with what you do while the app is running. I won't say more than that until I fix it for good.
I would personally have never found this "cheat" though...
The Quadrant hack was achieved by mounting the folder used for I/O testing as a ramdrive in Android
Lol, I figured it out! Over 6000 in gaming! Whoooo! That's a funny little bug. Can you disable that function, or is that what caused the invalid results problem?

More like I was trying to detect users doing that and display it as invalid but I ended up also capturing some cases when the test run was valid... Still working on a solution.
I just released a new version of Smartbench, mostly with minor fixes but this time, I've also released "Smartbench Donate" which removes ads and unlocks some new features.
Hopefully, this one won't cause any problems with invalid runs.
I realize it's not worth much but as a small token of appreciation, I will be giving away the "Donate Key" free to those who helped me one way or another (helping me directly, reporting bugs, suggestions, etc). This key will be good for all future versions of Smartbench and I intend to eventually trickle most of the features of the Donated version into the Free version as well.
If you sent me any useful messages to me before but I haven't gotten back to you within the next 24 hours, please do contact me - there are rather many messages I need to go through and I may have missed you. Thanks!
I seen a few threads on GPS fixes. I read them and still see some people having issues after applying fixes. I found out something interesting so it's my turn to post a fix for the GPS issue.
Here is what this will fix:
taking a long time to get a fix.
Not being able to keep a fix.
Not accurate data.
GPS consuming more battery then it should.
I can tell every one who is having trouble still right off the bat that they have their TB's overclocked.
I found out something interesting while trying to get from point a to point b a few days ago. All of a sudden I was having all sorts of issue that I never had before. After futzing around to try and find a solution I focused on the only thing different then usual.
I had my TB overclocked to 1.5GHZ when I normally don't go much higher then 1.2GHZ. mostly not to drain the battery.
My unit took several minutes to get a fix, and when it did, if I started moving again,(driving down the road) it completely lost the fix, or it was sporadic at best.
I lowered the clock speed to 1.2ghz. Killed all apps for a fresh start. Started navigate again, and I got a fix in less then 10 seconds. And it held a fix.
I put the clock speed back to 1.5ghz and I lost the fix again. Problems were occurring again.
I was able to get a good fix at 1.3ghz, but it took a tad longer, still under a minute to get a fix, but at 1.2 it works flawlessly.
Apparently the chipsets used for GPS don't like too high of a frequency above normal.
If anyone is having an issue with GPS, lower your cpu to 1.2ghz or lower. Kill all apps. then restart your GPS software.
Hope this helps any one having issues out!
Great theory, and may be true to an extent. I don't oc and today I could not get a lock to save my life. And I was in wide open lake country where a lock should have been instant.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Yea I dont OC at all and Still even with a couple of patches Ive tried, it still dont work right.
My gps has never worked correctly since I got the phone. So interesting theory, but purely circumstantial and unscientific testing. The issue comes about from XTRA code being incomplete in the framework.jar. This is needed for fast locks. Secondly, the radio needs updating. Both are present in a yet unreleased TB ota.
Why you see wildly different results is that eventually, even a standalone gps locks. Fiddling with settings and so forth, you eventually get a lock. Once you have lock and keep it 'warm' with somewhat regular use, you get the illusion of your gps being fixed.

Yeah, I'll agree with everyone (minus the troll). The OC may be affecting your problem, or seem like it is. But, me, from the time I walked out of the store my GPS has not locked a single time. Glad I've still got my not-much-better fascinate to use nav with hhaha.

Hello im in debt to the great developers here and have opened my website to any and all developers to use to upload roms or any patches needed, I hate mediashare, rapidshare, ect.. because of their timers and need for payment so i created it where all you need to do is register and have access to upload to X amount... check the allowed extensions it will say 170 MB max.. i mean i can increase it but the main rom is not needed higher than that
Moderators dont hurt me im just trying to spread the word to help other users get access to roms as such efficiently

Hi guys,
Could anyone please collect the logs that are being generated by the ICS leak, zip the folders they are in and share them?
I'd do it myself though i don't have the leak installed.
Thanks in advance.

Hm, this is fishy. You only just appeared here (2 posts in total) and already you're asking people to send you their logs? And your request for the AT&T bloat is just weird.
Dunno, fishy.
If you really want some logs, I suggest you install the leak and collect them yourself.
Hi there,
Is there a welcome thread i need to add my first post to?
Nothing fishy going on here. I read about the leak and how it had logs enabled, making the phone crawl. I instantly thought about analyzing these verbose logs to try and pick up where the original dev(s) left off. Logs will help further development of the release.
As for the AT&T files, i want to see if there's anything in them that would explain why the leak was pulled from this site.
Thanks for reading.

Dunno. Still seems easier to just install the leak and collect the logs yourself. After you're done, you can restore your nandroid backup and it'll be as if nothing ever happened.
Anyway, I'm not running the leak myself so I can't really help you either way. Maybe someone else will be of more help.
There is an introduce yourself thread (or something like that) in the general section of this forum.
