[Q] Dlna to xbmc? - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi fellow xda members!
I just recently went to my uncles house and he had a xbmc xbox running. He showed me how he could stream music from his atrix to the xbmc and have it play.
However, when i tried to do it on my mytouch 4g it could not find the xbmc server. It could see his NAS drives but no way to output to his xbmc. It could only play on my phone. Anyone know why?
I tried the twonky screen share, 2player, and upnplay.

Samsung TV Compatability

I have a 56" Samsung DLP HDTV HL56A650.
I know the TV has wiselink but I am pretty sure not wiselink+.
I have hooked my phone into the wiselink usb slot and successfully viewed pictures and music that is stored on the phone. As far as I can tell right now, it will not play .mkv videos, but does support x264.
I also can't seem to find out how to hook my TV up to the Ethernet which leads me to believe I don't have the + with my wiselink.
Anyone else have a Samsung TV that they can do this on?
Maybe wrong forum? This is not a TV help forum.
Yeah, wiselink has nothing to do with the phone... it just uses the SD card as mass storage.
Wireless DLNA is what the SGS is all about..
i believe Kies has video convertor for the .mkv files
I have a Samsung LN46A950. I have it plugged into my network via ethernet, and when I start the DLNA server on my Vibrant it shows up as a server on my TV. I'm able to view pictures and the Avatar trailer this way, but I can't play video. Apparently my TV doesn't support the correct CODEC to play Vibrant's video files.
It's a non-issue for me since I have an HTPC connected to my home theater that can obviously handle any format. I still kinda wish my TV could play the files, though, just because it'd be cool.
Thanks dex. Thats the kinda resoonse I was lookin for. I dont particularly need help with my tv, was just interested in seeing if anyone else has had success with playing videos from their vibrant to their samsung tv.

[Q]PS3 &Tablet

Hi first post: hope I can get an answer well I was playing ps3 the other day and one of my friend says we should stream our matches for the facebook group we have since this tablet have an HDMI port I was wondering if is possible to connect the ps3 to the tablet and stream to Justin TV or record the game play some way? Thx for all the help
No, the hdmi on your tablet is only to output signals too your tv and not the other way around.
so there's no way to stream from my tablet?
Yes and no, Yes you can stream stuff from your tablet, no you can't stream what you want, though I've read someone used their A500 as a wireless keyboard for their ps3......

[Q] Media Player Sync (Chromecast, Plex, MX, etc)

Here is my issue. I travel a decent amount for work and also watch movies/TV shows while at the gym. I basically want one central point that allows me to pick up where I left off weather it is my tablet/home TV or hotel TV. Currently I just use my tablet as my central point.
Downlod content to PC. Transfer to Tablet. Watch on Tablet. Conect via HDMI out to TV or use Chromecast.
A couple problems.
- I use MX Player on my tablet, but does not allow for chromecast. Is there a better media player that will allow for chromecast, but also be a very good media player and organizer?
- I have plex set up on my home laptop, but honestly have not used a whole lot as it does not serve me once I am out of the house. Does Plex Pass solve this issue? If so is this a better solution than storing everything tablet and using that as my central point?
Any input would be great as I am open to whatever works the best.

[Q] Casting MKV Files from Seagate

Hi everyone,
I am thinking about buying a Nexus Player after I played with my roommate's Chromecast. I was really impressed with how well it worked and, using the Seagate Central app, I was able to play and cast files from my media center. The impressive part was that it actually did well casting all my files - except MKVs. It would play the video, but there'd be no sound.
With that having been said, does the Nexus Player do a better job at this?

Ultimate media consumption?

Has anybody had any luck or even tried to get these three things working on this.
Ps4 remote play
Pc streaming using limelight
Kodi (xbmc) as media center
I have both ps4 remote play and limelight to stream my pc games from my pc working on my nexus 10 tablet and I connect that to my tv using the hdmi out. But since it is a tablet I don't wanna leave it hooked up to a tv. Would rather have a micro console of some sorts to do that. Plus I wanna plug in an external hard drive and play movies and tv shows off it and onto my tv. So I figured the mojo may work well.
Also has anybody successfully paired more than one moga controller to the mojo?
Thoughts? suggestions?
Thanks

I don't know about other stuff, but I have a moga pocket which paired correctly with Mojo.
Kodi works great!
No passthrough audio but everything else works well for me
