There are many Apps that are using .net 3.5 one of them is Catalyst Control Center.Whenever I tries to open it it asks me to connect to windows Update to install it.My prob is that i'm running out of Bandwidth but i have downloaded .net 3.5 for XP ago.I think they are same for every OS(expects architecture x86-x64).And when i tried to install it the installer run but again it asks me to enable .net 3.5 form windows features and again it starts downloading through Windows Update. Is there any way that i can install re-distributional version of .NET 3.5 on Win8.
No, you have to install that update then only you can run your applications.

I installed Microsoft .NET CF 1.0 on my pocket pc (through my PC). I want to uninstall that, but there is nothing about that in the listing ("\start\settings\remove programs") to remove that.
thanks
How do I enable .Net Framework 3.5? I downloaded it unto my computer and through activesync it was downloaded unto my phone, however it seems as if my phone isn't using the 3.5. How do I make it so that my phone uses the 3.5 instead of the older one? I can't seem to find the option for it!

Try uninstalling it from your phone and download the file over this link
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...49-3c6b-42f1-9fd9-0041345b3385&displaylang=en
then run the downloaded file on your pc while your phone is just turned on and connected to your pc over the activesync. Then after the file's installed on your pc it'll warn you to check your phone screen about the installiation screen should appear on your phone and thats all.
Works fine for me.
make sure when you run it from your PC, when you get the screen showing which parts are to install and which parts not to install - you drill down into those options and make sure you check the DEPLOY option.
i believe the DEPLOY option is what installs it on your device that is in activesync
Hi everybody!
Completely new to Android so please have a little patience...
I am having a lot of trouble with this piece of c**p software - Kies! I installed it on my XP SP3 laptop without any trouble but when I start it the program tells me that I need to install .NET Framework 2.0? I have already installed 4.0 and removed all previous versions before that so that sounds kinda strange to me... Well okay I uninstall 4.0 and install 2.0 SP1 instead - When I start the program then it tells me that it failed to launch main stage! Okay I uninstall 2.0 and install 3.5 instead just to give it a go... But nope still nothing!
Now I am getting frustrated so I uninstall .NET framework completely and uninstall Kies. Then I install Kies again without Framework and it aparently tries to install it by itself... Only to give me the error that the file "xnet_framework_3.5" is not a Win32 file?! WT*?!! :S
When that didn't work either I tried to install ALL the .NET framework's and Kies again - One by one! So 2.0 + Kies, no result - Uninstall all! Then 3.0 + Kies, no result - Uninstall! ...And so on! I have also tried to have ALL the .NET applications installed at the same time and then install Kies - Still no luck!! :'(
What am I missing here guys? I would really like to use this software since it looks like it has a lot of neat options... But I can't get it to work! Have tried for 3 days now and the only option I see left is a reformat of my hdd... And I don't wanna go down that road

I think the issue is in your machine man.. Try install and sync it in your friends machine..
Has anyone successfully installed eclipse and ADT on Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium? I installed Eclipse (Galileo SR2 32bit) and attempted to install the ADT and DDMS plugins. Eclipse lists ADT and DDMS as installed software but they do not show up in the plugin list. As a result, I can't create an Android project since it does not show up in the new projects . I am not sure if I am missing something simple or if there is a basic incompatibility with Windows 7. I have successfully set up the ADT on XP but am new to Windows 7 (and I don't much experience with Eclipse). Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.
PS. I have also downloaded JDK and Android SDK and modified my Path envirnoment for each.
I never could get things working in win7 (I have win 7 pro 64bit) so I built a VMWare virtual machine with linux and set it all up there and run the VM under win7.
I'll probably end up something similar. Thanks for the info.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
It's been a few months but as I remember I had no issues installing on win7 64x Pro
Sent from my Nexus One
No issues here too
I installed eclipse, the plugin and the sdk just yesterday without any problems.
Although I tried on an older windows 7 system a few months ago, and had issues with Eclipse giving some random errors.
I read version 3.6 had issues, so this time I installed 3.5, all is working fine so far.
Thanks everyone for the commnets. I couldn't get eclipse to recognize the ADT properly so I assumed it was a Windows 7 compatibility issue. After hearing of your success, I ended up reinstalling eclipse, ADT SDK and JDK. That seamed to do the trick so I am up and running in Windows 7. I aslo installed VMWare/Ubuntu/Eclipse so I now can develop in Windows or Linux.
Have you tried to run the executables in Windows XP compatibilty mode?
Right click on the exe, go to properties, compatibility tab and check the box and select windows XP service pack 3.
Most of the programs which are compatible with XP and not with Win 7 can be ru this way...
Hi Friends,
i installed catalyst Drivers 11.8 windows 7 on Windows8.Every thing is perfect but when i'm tryin to open CCC it shows turn windows features on or off dialogue box. When i clicks it it asks me to connect to connect to windows update and then nothing happens help me
You need to make sure that you have .net 3.51 enabled..
Go to the classic control panel and go to turn windows features on and off and make sure that .net 3.5 is selected and available.
When I installed the 11.8 drivers, it prompted me to connect to windows update and it downloaded and enabled the .net 3.5 component..
Anyway, it should work if you add that.
