[REQ] TouchWiz 2 on HTC Devices...

I just saw a video of the Omnia 2... Touchwiz 2 looks very good in my opinion, is there anyway to extract/port it to HTC devices???
I second that...
This would be quite an interesting attempt.
Over at modaco, there is a guy trying to port the HD2 ROM to an Omnia II. I wonder if the opposite direction is possible...

Loading different OS into Omnia II

Hi All,
I'd like to know if it is possible or not to load a different OS ROM into Samsung Omnia II i8000 ? eg. Android 2.2 ROM ? is it possible or vice versa, loading Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Pro into Samsung Galaxy S.
Thanks.
I was thinking same thing!
I'm ready to buy a Galaxy S and I was wondering if can be converted to WM 6.5.x as the hardware is better than my actual Omnia II.

Must be possible, but nobody have made it. Windows Mobile 6.5 is outdated, i would like android at least.

Guys there isnt a real forum here for android on omnia II. But we have a great deal of the hardware working on it. Now the phone function isnt that long away. Look at:
bbbq1
You can see it is quite speedy. It has a 3x times higher filebenchmark than the galaxy s.
There will be a functional beta soon.
Because I dont have a topic here, you can follow the work on twitter:

I have ordered a Galaxy S (White) but intend to keep my Omnia II for other things, such as GPS/Navigation unless the Galaxy S proves itself a worthy contender with FroYo 2.2
As for Android on Omnia II, check this link out http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-ii-gsm-rom-discussion/298997/android-on-omnia-2-17-10-2010-see-first-post/
Sad to see the Topic is closed now....
How to load different OS
I'm interested in doing the same but I would like to try Symbian. Just the method in how to load a new OS is kinda unknown. WM 6.1 (on my Omnia II) is pretty slow, and have heard symbian works extremely well on Omnia. My mate has it on his omnia I and man it's smooth. He's not one too available for helping though. Other options are cookers for WM but not so sure yet
Any help on where and how? Recommendations?
Cheers
urrently there are no plans for porting to Symbian omnia 2, and I do not think is even possible, given the different resolutions (symbian 640x360 omnia 2480x800 )

Guess what, currently the progress seems promising as Almar team already managed to make BlueTooth and WiFi stable and workable...(probably still contain some bug) They are still working on it and these guys are doing an awesome job in keeping our Omnia i8000 alive....cheers and salute to Almar and the Omnia2Droid team!!!! Can't wait to try out Android on my phone..LOL

Just been given a Samsung Omnia 7 to replace my old iPhone 3G. I haven't started using the phone yet as I wasn't sure if there was a better firmware for it or if you could jailbreak them like the iphone?
Is there anything like this available for the Omnia 7? I would like apps like eBay/whatsapp etc...
Thanks :good:
You can find some custom ROMs here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=820
Apps like those are already available in the Marketplace

My Note 3 is of SM-900 variant. Don't think Phronesis ROM is compatible with the Exynos SoC. Do you happen to know any SM-900 ROM which has the same feature built in?
You should download comptible ported rom for 900
Long screenshot
There's a awesome long screenshot app named longscreenshot on google play. It's convenient and easy to use.
