[REQ] WVGA video recording?

Does anyone know a way to enable WVGA video recording on the Touch Pro 2? VGA seems a little lacking...
I searched the forums, and I didn't find anything I could make sense of.

I am certainly curious too if this is possible, although I doubt it!

You can try installing BsB Tweaks and see if the "enable hidden video recording formats" setting will get you what you want. Can't try it myself since I do not have BSB on the handset I have with me atm.

I do believe that VGA video recording is a hardware limitation. Both my HD2 and my TP2 both record in VGA and nothing I've tried has successfully enabled WVGA video recording so far.
Although.. I'm still interested to see if it's possible.

Problem with playing H.264 format

Hi Guys,
I have a problem with my HD2. I used BsB tweaks tool to enable some new features. Among other I’ve enabled additional recording formats in camcorder. Unfortunately when i record a move in H.264 I am not able to play it. The phone freezes on "Loading..." screen I was trying few things to solve the problem:
1\ installing TCMCP
2\ installing Core Player
3\ looking for codecs (unsuccessfully)
4\ HR
... non of above helped I'm using official ROM 1.66 RADIO: 2.07 Does anybody encountered such a problem ? Any ideas ? Please hlep…

Please, anyone ? At lease let me know if its normal that i'm not able to play movies in H.264 format. I'll be very gratefull...

Same here mate - unable to play them. I personally don't see it as a big deal and just use MPEG.

Grate, thanks for the answer... I was worrying that something is wrong with my HD2
BTW previously I was using HTC TP2 and there was no problem with playing H.264 video format... Any idea why ?

I have no idea mate. It was obviously disabled for a reason though

Well for sure it was ... But still wondering... TP2 is a more likely business smartphone and HD2 rather multimedial device - for music, videos, games etc. So why the function is disabled here ?!

Problem with camcorder resolution

Hello,
I can not change the video resolution of the camcorder. It is stuck to S(128x96)".
when recording a video the quality is bad.
If I look at the settings, resolution is "S(128x96)" in light grey so I am not able to select and change it.
I had the same problem a few weeks ago and did a hard reset which solved the problem, but I had to set all parameters,mail, ... again, and I don't want to keep doing that.
I read the post "Video recording not working in 640x480" but the solutions there (changing bitrate, deleting the registerkey,...) are not working
Changing MPEG4 to H.263 or H.264 is not helping either.
Is there a way I can unlock or edit the register to record in a good quality?

can anyone upload the registry order from the camera ?

BsB was not installed.
I installed it now.
There are more options for the video format, but the resolutions still is "S(128x96)" in light grey... This is so for all video formats...

I did hard format the phone the first time I got this problem. It indeed solves the issue, but as I had to reinstall all extra programs and make all setting again, I would like to solve the issue this time without having to hard format (reset)...

yes. restarted phone, even took out battery for some time. But it did not work.
I just noticed that MMS Video has the same problem. I can not change the resolution but here it is M(176x144)
I also stopped all running programs in the task manager, but it did notsolve the problem.
I presume some program is locking the resolution setting?

MPEG4 Playback

I can't seem to play 640x480 mpeg4 files on my HTC mini, I can play every other resolution though. Quality seems to be pisspoor ever since I installed bsb tweaks and enabled the 'video bitrate' improvement thing.
The files won't show up in albums. How can I fix this? hard reset? im contemplating that..

I have this problem too.. it's because of tweaks made by BSB on camera... don't use it as it' not compatible with our camera! I tested it on MANY roms (cooked and stock) and the problem is still there...

and the solution is easy, if you have a registry editor, go to
HKLM\software\HTC\Camera\Recparam\H264VGA
copy the parameter in BitRate to the MP4VGA BitRate
and you're good to go without having to hardreset your phone
