I changed from the stock OS of my HD2 to hyperdroid, but I have two problems.
1) When I miss a call, it is only shown in the history if my phone was on at the time or had reception. Strangely, if someone sends a text to my phone while it is off, I receive it once my phone has been turned on again. Even if it does not shown a missed call under those circumstances, I can still receive voicemails from them.
2) There are no options in the original contacts section to add/remove/important so on. I installed the hotfix from the Hyperdroid yet it still does not work. An app for another contact list works, but the original one does not.
Can anyone please help me with those issues?
Thank you for the time.
#1 is by design. That is how GSM works. Calls you miss when the phone is off or out of coverage area can be notified as SMS alerts, but only if the network provider supports that feature.
I don't use the ROM you have, so can't help on #2...
Swyped from my HTC HD2 running CM7 (Gingerbread 2.3.5)
Same problem
My problem is that I can't receive any calls what so ever.
I have been using this ROM for only 2 days and my call log shows that there has been incoming calls but the phone simply sends them directly to voice-mail.
is the a fix or tweak for this?
Please S.O.S!!!!!!!!

Hey all!
I have a HTC Tattoo it originally had the stock rom then i re-flashed it with a new one to see if i could solve the following problem.
It was my understanding that if your just browsing the Web, you cannot receive calls/texts (both 3G/GPRS), however most phones give an illusion of this by pausing data momentarily to check for incoming calls.
However, my tattoo doesn't do this, my HTC Touch 3G (WinMo) did and i never missed a call. My tattoo seems to just send calls to voicemail all the time (even just background data usage causes this), seems better if i set it to GSM Only, but will still block calls.
Also ive experienced some issues making calls (particularly when set the phone to WCDMA only)
Is this just my phone or is this a common issue? Its always been the same with this phone, but ive recently missed some urgent calls and its spurred me on to get this resolved.
Thanks in Advanced, Dan
Something is wrong, that is not common behavior.
Hey!
I have been following the swiftdroid project from the sidelines for a while, and i am currently on the latest version (2.0 M3)
Yesterday I put Swiftdroid onto my friends GT540, his is currently on 1.8 (the only speedboot version i had saved)
he has told me about issues he has been having with calls: when he rings certain people the call is silent, i seems it wont connect, then beeps and the dialler closes. i have been having the same problem with certain numbers.
SMS messaging is fine.
My friend and i both use giff gaff (the uk phone network) and have had APNs set by the giffgaff APN app from the market place.
any help? Thanks a lot.
Its a network problem.
Sent from my GT540 using XDA App
It cant be
I dont see how it could be a network problem, my friend was on the phone to his girlfriend an hour before the upgrade, and he has never had a problem in the months of using 2.1. Now it wont let him call her, it does however accept incoming calls.
I have had the same problem with certain contacts:
incoming calls = fine
sms messages sending = fine
sms messages receiving = fine
but outgoing calls just wont connect.
Problems Handling Phone Calls (Call Waiting, 3 way, etc.) Verizon S5 on AT&T Network
I recently bought a used Verizon Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V). It came with the lollipop OS. From the outset, I had problems with phone calls, text messaging.
1. When I'm in a call, I'm not able to dial (Like to enter numbers for automated systems).
*I solved this one by going to:
settings>applications>call>
Scroll down to DTMF tones and change setting to long.
2. When I'm in a call, I'm not able to click over to calls on call waiting. When I do try to click over, I still hear the original call for a few seconds and then both calls drop and I get an error message that says "no sim or invalid sim". If I don't answer the call, both calls drop and I get the same message. The same thing happens if a try to make a 3 way call.
3. If someone calls me and I try to call them back, the call redirects to turn it into an international call and the call doesn't go through.
*I solved this using an app called prefixer
4. If I try to text message someone who called me, I get an error message back saying the phone number is invalid.
I figured I would have to root my phone to be able to make some custom changes. I first had to downgrade to kitkat (android 4.4.2) and root it and then upgrade with root using some very helpful posts and resources found on this site (thanks). When I downgraded, problems 1 and 2 went away (for number 1, I had to change my network mode, but that solution didn't work when I went back to lollipop). After upgrading beack to lollipop, all of these problems were there, though I was able to resolve 2 of them, the other 2 are problematic.
I think theres a problem with the way the phone is handling the AT&T network signal since they have a different type of network from verizon but i don't know. I need some help please. Has anyone encountered these kinds of problems and solved them. Thanks
Hi all,
I can imagine this is a general Android feature but since I use the OP5 I thought of asking here.
I noticed while using f.e. WhatsApp voice calls (over WiFi) that they drop when a network call is incoming.
Is there a way (rooted or not) to change that priority and keep the VoIP call alive and just show that someone is calling you normally ?
Thank you in advance
apologies for not responding with a fix for you - but there's definitely some issue with the latest build of oxygen OS and voip - in addition to call drops there are problems with voice/SIP/RTP itself. This is not just limited to whatsapp - but also Tango and skype.
Only real way to isolate the issue seems to be to reflash to older stock ROM and see if the problem persists. But is it worth it?
Hello,
I have bought a Leeco Coolpad for my mother and everything works fine except one annoying thing. Receiving SMS does not always work while the same sim card in another device works just fine.
It's like the phone is not listening for SMS at some point and you can send as many SMS to the phone as you want, no of them ever reaches the phone while sometimes everything is working fine.
Have you experienced the same issue and if yes, do you know how to solve it? My mother uses SMS a lot so if this doesn't work, I'll have no other option than returning the phone
Thanks
Laurent
Check the APN, make sure it's configured correctly.
Check the phone manage settings. The text are probably setup to block the incoming texts.
Thanks! I sometimes receive SMS which would mean that the configuration is ok otherwise I would never receive any. It's like the default application for SMS is sometimes not listening to incoming SMS anymore. I have tried other SMS applications and it's exactly the same issue, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't for some reason.
I have the same problem on Lineage (android 9) firmware 30s (the problem also persists on 20s). The problem does not come from my provider and the APN settings are correct. Have you found a solution? I think it comes from the radio settings. Thanks!
