I'm wondering if someone knows if is it possible to have a "double" function on hardware button, similar to the VOICE RECORDER button.
It can be pressed or pressed & held doing different actions. Is it possible to have this behaviour also for the other hardware buttons?

Thank you lbendlin, that id what I'm look for!
I would like a program that I can assign to a hardware button that when pressed will close all applications, return to the today screen, and put the device in standby. Does anybody know of an app that will do this?
I guess it would be good if it locked the device too. I'm afriad I don't know of such a program but it would be handy.
i bet a little mortscript would do that for ya. the only problem would be mapping a hardware button to it.. but it may be possible..
There's a piece of software called AEBPlus which is supposed to be able to map anything to any hardware button, including "press", "long press", "double press" etc.
If you have some way to make scripts, you could assign a script to a long press which does all that, I'm sure.
i was wondering if its possibly to change the function of a hardware button? In this instance I would like to change the send button from loading my recent call list to loading the dialer.
Is any chance to customize hardware keys for open phone application, and end call, because i don't love touch keys for start and end call.
maybe when its rooted as of now its not possible
Title says it all. Is it possible? It'd been really cool if those 2 keys morph to answer/reject keys, but that'd pretty much be a hardware mod... If Samsung didn't think of this, is it possible to just assign answer/reject to those keys? I know home key answers call if set, but I particularly want to use those 2 touchkeys for that.
No .
