[Q] Help with flashing NAND rom to HD2 - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Need help with flashing NAND ROM to my HD2. And before anyone starts screaming about me not looking at other threads or my question has already been answered please take a look and read everything I am about to post. I have been throught almost 30 different threads and have not found anything to help me with my current situation. To start off I will give a little bit of history ...I had my first HD2 for a few days before I decided to try and run android on it. I first started out with running android off of the micro sd card. Then I went into flashing an NAND rom to my phone. Everything was good with the phone until a few days ago the screen was completely black. Picked up a new HD2 and flashed another NAND rom on it and I did not like the way it ran so I went to flash another. Here's where my troubles started. I was using CWM to install the NAND roms and instead of going to update rom and choosing the zip there like the guide here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044830" says, I cleared the cache formated my sd card and then tried to install the new rom. It went through to say the it was finished but when restarted my hd2 it says theres no Z image......so I figured I did do something wrong and I decided to flash the original Windows 6.5 rom back on and start over completely. I was able to get to the windows rom but now I can not flash or install anything like mgldr or an updated radio. I am hoping that someone here can help me figure this out. So i guess my question is what did I do wrong and where do I go from here?

1. Ensure you have HSPL 2.08 installed. Power off the phone, hold the volume down and press the power button to find out.
2. Flash Magldr and a partition layout/ ClockWorkMod or cLK and CWM
3. Find a ROM for the boot loader you flashed, flash and enjoy.
If you are not already using it, use ksubedi's tool (sticky in NAND forum)...
Swyped from my HTC HD2 running CM7 (Gingerbread 2.3.5)

When I boot into the screen heres all that I see.
PB81120 SS-B3
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x05
and at the bottem it says serial which changes to usb when I connect it to my computer. The problem I have is when I attempt to flash MGLDR onto the phone it connects and the phone changes to the splash screen where it says HTC and gives the percentage of the operation. But it stays at 0% and never moves forward. If i could figure out how to include images in my post I would send screenshots of everything that I am trying.

Also I did attempt to use the HD2 Toolkit and I end up with the same result when I attempt to flash everything myself.

ph03n!x thank you very much sir I believe you have helped me with my issue. I was stupid and fustrated and did not pay attention enough. I did not install HSPL 2.08.....it was SPL 2.08 that was on there. I did not pay attention that the H was missing all I saw was that the 2.08 was right so I figured something else was wrong. I successfully installed the HSPL 2.08 so I believe that I should be good to now.

FORGET ABOUT IT. i didnt see your last post.
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
this line means you dont have hspl.instead of 8g xe there must be HSPL. so you should change it to hspl 2.08 using hspl4 or hspl3. or else you cannot flash mgldr.

Everything is good to go now..only issue I am having is now that I am trying to download another rom the zip file that I get is not coming with all the required files. Unfortunately I am unable to post on that particular developers thread to ask about it. "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1028693" I am attempting to flash this particular rom using MGLDR but the zip file is not coming with the DAF.exe file or any other executable files. If someone has any ideas on what I am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate any assistance. I do apologize if I changed the topic of this thread but I cannot post on the particular thread because I do not have more then 10 posts.

Most of the recent ROMs need to be flashed via Clockwork Mod. You have to follow this tutorial to flash a ROM via clockwork mod. It isn't hard, there is no need to be worried.

I have to apologize I was just a little to hasty in asking for help again. I had originally used CWM to flash the roms when I first did it on my original hd2, but because of the messup I caused with my second hd2 I figured I would follow a guide just to make sure I was doing everything correctly. I followed the guide here "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948" and in the process of downloading the rom the rom details said to flash with MGDLR or CLK so I figured I wasnt going to have to use CWM anymore. But after a bit of playing around I figured out that what I was doing wrong was trying to flash a CLK version with CWM instead of flashing the MGLDR version. I appreciate everyones help.

[SOLVED] Help, installed wrong ROM (european), now stuck with "Stick Together" screen
I bought a T mobile USA HTC HD2 phone in the U.S. and tried to install Artemis ROM which is for european phones only.
So now I'm stuck with the pink welcome logo ("stick together").
If I press the volume button and soft reset, I can see the screen with my HSPL.
I tried to do hard reset, but it didn't work.
Please help me how to roll back to original rom, or to install any eligible for T mobile usa rom.
Thank you!
Sweet, so that means you are able to get into bootloader?
Just flash task29 then flash a tmous rom
Thanks for the reply.
Could you please exlpain what task29 is and how to do this? Or where I can find the info.
I am a complete noob in this stuff (obviously).
Thank you
Remove SD Card, and Sim Card....
First get into bootloader by holding down the volume down button and power on the device.
next down load this file and run it as administrator: Follow the prompts and instructions.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5848003&postcount=19
When it hits 100% get ready to hold down the volume button again.... the HD2 will reboot and holding down the volume button will get you back into the bootloader.
Now get a US compatible rom and flash it the same way you just did the Task29. This time when its done flashing remove the battery and re insert your SD card and Sim.... let the phone boot up and you will be good to go.
Hope that Makes sense lol.
illconn, thank you for detailed answer!
I'll try it when I'm home. The only thing though is where can I find the US compatible ROM?
update
I got, I thought I'd need official T Mobile's ROM from their web site, but I'll be able to use any of the ROMs available in XDA. Right?
to be safe i would use the any of the ones in here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653114
Once you read up a little more on here, and understand how some of the things work you can see there are a few more roms that you can use.
But before you can do any of that you need to make sure your phone has the right HSPL... there is a SSPL but just do the HSPL its easy.... now if you have already done this then great. If not start by reading here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614
GL and welcome to the world of custimization!!
Yeah, I decided to try to understand the process of changin the ROM.
Now I understand that SPL boots the device. And HSPL allows to boot custom ROMs.
So what is task29 for?
Task29 pretty much formats the internal memory.... although putting a new rom on the device erases, it sometimes leave bits and pieces of the old roms.... so its recomended you Task29 before a new rom so that you dont have any complications later. For example some people will have a lot of freezing, or programs crash, once they task29 and reflash problem solved.

Thank you!
And last thing, just want to make sure everything is ok, not to repeat the same mistake. When I go to the bootloader, I get Red-Green -Blue-White screen with this data:
PB81120 HX-B3
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Serial
That's okay to do the custom ROM, right?

Yes that is correct; by it showing "CotullaHSPL" that means you HSPL'd your phone and can download any compatable ROM onto your device, but just as posted above use task29. I was afraid to use it myself but after flashing my phone now about 30 times I've gotten over it.
Here is the link to the stock ROM's :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=655653
if you use the 2.10.0 it will be back to stock. (but you can still burn ROM's onto your phone) because it won't erase you HSPL, if you run it from your computer.
Make sense?
Guys! Thank you so much! I installed Kumar's ROM. It works like a charm!
I gained so much experience, and fixed the device. I'm so happy! Thank you again. Thank you

Wow. Number one, triple posting THE SAME QUESTION. Uhm, no. Number two, this is the HD2 or LEO section, NOT THE ATOM ONE. You won' t get any help here, you need to go post in the atom section.
Gotta say....I did the same thing as |OP|....this thread is making me very comfortable to fix my problem. Kudos to you guys for being patient with |OP|...it helped another newbiew
I talked to the number on #1 post and all I got is that I must ship the old one first. I told him about my location that shipment would be problem (from me to them, I can arrange shipment to US address and resend to me). Damn, now I must get it on my own for $50 or how much they cost (no ebay, they are mostly scams). Plus I got no Transformers, the card broke down and I had to format it (didn't help for fixing the freezing issue).
I talked to them over Skype though, because.. well I live in Europe. I'm not sure he understood me well, I have a sore throat and I'm having obstacles talking .

[Q] My phone is not booting LEOIMG.nbh

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
SOLVED
Thanks to all the helpers; it turned out that this was the problem
Finally!
I did a complete format (not a quick one) in windows on my 2 GB card, and now it is working. Think the quick format thing was to blame for this.... As we've all been warned from before.
It's flashin' now, so I'll give you a holler if something else is up ;-))

Hello,
I've tried to search around for a solution to this problem for a few hours, so I'll dare to ask my question in a new thread
To make things short! I'm trying to reset absolutely everything to the way it was when I got the phone; radio, stock ROM, bootloader etc because I experience trouble with the phone. The problems started after I used the HTC program from the HTC website to reinstall windows mobile (for the interested, more on that in the next section). I am now trying to flash LEOIMG.nbh to the phone via the bootloader - but nothing just plain happens. I am 120 % certain that I've done everything correctly - formatting SD card to FAT32, load LEOIMG.nbh to it (and not LEOIMG.nbh.nbh, or something else) - it just won't start, and displays the tri - color screen. Says something about 2.08 HSPL, so I think the bootloader version is correct.
So, for the interested - after using Android for a few days I decided I wanted to use WM because it's better for me. So as stated above, I used the HTC installer from the HTC website to install windows mobile over some custom ROM. But having trouble with the wifi, I think it didn't install the correct radio version - do you think I am correct? In any case, I decided I wanted to do it the correct way this time, and extract the RUU_signed file to SD card and go.
Some extra info...
When starting bootloader, it says
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x40
Numbers on HTC logo
R 2.15.50.14

The stock ROM I am trying to flash, I got from the HTC support website
*I was not alloved to post links to external website, but it was supposed to be here ;-))*
So I've downloaded the latest ROM upgrade (in Norwegian, "ROM oppgradering" on the site) using a norwegian serial number I found in another thread. I've opened it with winrar, and extracted the RUU_signed.nbh file.. Does this answer you question? In one of the tutorials to reset the phone said for me to "download a RUU_signed.nbh file from *here*", but there were so many different files in there... So I just downloaded the official newest ROM upgrade from the HTC website.
My SD card is of size 16 GB, but right now I just tried with another one of 2 GB size. No change........
Why do you used a serial number which is not yours? The phone is stollen? (just kidding)... As an advice, if you want to be sure to flash the correct ROM use your own serial number on the HTC website.
If you bought your phone in another country (I've done this... from a country I can't even read a word) then put back in the original language.
When back to "original" you can always flash again the hardspl then the ROM you like in Norvegian.
Anyway with the info provided the radio has not been flashed.
info: when you say the radio flash through WiFI... nothing will never be flashed via Internet (cable or WiFi). It's downloaded on your computer then (and only then) flashed to your device.
Question: could your phone can access the SD when in your actual OS?
Idea: flash back to WM6 via USB then try again. It seems you're doing all good but that the SD is not recognized.
To be honest, I used the serial number on the forum because I couldn't be arsed to remove the battery.... )
I think you've misunderstood me a bit; I've not tried to flash the phone over wifi...
So, any suggestions as to what could be the reason for the bootloader not starting LEOIMG.nbh?

That's a good reason!!!
No make sure your phone access the SD. You're actually under Anrdoid or WinMo? Honnestly I don't understand your problem (I mean I understand your problem but can't understand why... very usefull post so)
euh... by the way. The only way to go out of the bootloader if you don't flash is to remove the battery no?
I'm trying not to get into reasons to make the post short and consise; suffice to say I got some troubles (memory leak, wifi) under winmo 6.5 after I've been doing some flashin. So I want everything back the way it was - radio, bootloader, winmo 6.5. Just as if I got it for the first time! I think after all the posts I've been reading this can be done by flashing that LEOIMG.nbh from som official stock rom with the bootloader.
BUT ---- the bootloader doesn't load LEOIMG.nbh!
You think 100% right.
I'll do the test on mine and post if it works or not (I'll only flash a radio, sorry but don't want to erase all my data).
Ok, I download radio 50.14 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787&highlight=radio
Rename exactly as you write in the post LEOIMG.nbh
Put on the root of my SD
Power the phone while holding vol down.
My phone asked directly if I want to update (so I pressed vol down to cancel).
You can try with the same file to see if the file you have is corrupted.
If it's the same... SD access problem??? So HW problem... not good.
You can try to reflash the HSPL just in case.
Don't know if it will help but my HSPL gives a different info:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
So all is the same except I have 0X30 and you 0x40
My HD2 is a European on (non-TMOUS).
Tried reflashing the HSPL. I noticed something interesting actually..
The screen flashes grey for about 100 ms! So when I enter bootloader with <vol down>, it shows tricolor screen, then flashes grey, then comes back into tricolor... Think I read something similar in another post...
Thanks for trying so hard to help mister! I don't know if it is my english or anything, but I'm trying to flash the entire stock ROM as described in another tutorial here (still can't post links...), not just the radio..
If I knew which radio was the correct one for me, I'd just flash that one instead, but I have not found any info on this anywhere..
I'll see if I can format the SDcard to FAT32 once more and try again..
Finally!
I did a complete format (not a quick one) in windows on my 2 GB card, and now it is working. Think the quick format thing was to blame for this.... As we've all been warned from before.
It's flashin' now, so I'll give you a holler if something else is up )
Good to hear that!
You learned me something with your format.

Getting HD2 back to stock

Ok, so I've got quite a bit of a problem here. Please keep in mind that I'm relatively new to this. I've only flashed my 3G Slide before to CM7 using Clockwork so this whole Windows thing is new for me.
I recently purchased a used HD2. The previous owner had some custom Windows ROM on there, and I wanted to put Android on it being a fan of the platform. More specifically, CM7. So I managed to get Magldr on it, Clockwork on it, and CM7 on it. Here's where the trouble starts. When I boot CM7 the touch screen no longer works. It doesn't respond at all. After some searching, it appears that this is a hardware problem, so I have to send it to HTC.
I have been looking everywhere for stock stuff, but every thread tells me something different. I "think" I got this right, but when I boot the phone with the Vol Down, I get -
PB81120 HX-B3
SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(TOUCH) 0x50
I found a thread where someone said this was correct and it was in fact stock. Then, 30 seconds later I found a thread where someone said THIS was stock -
PB81100HX-BC
SPL-1.42.000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(Touch) 0x30
And the 20 seconds later, I find ANOTHER post saying that THIS is stock -
pb8 ss-b3
spl-2.10.0000 8g xe
microP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(Touch) 0x40
So, what the hell is the deal? Does it depend on the ROM? Can someone point me in the right direction please? I'm completely lost.

It doesn't make any difference what the various places say. Go to the HTC site and download the correct ROM based on you serial number. Extract the .nbh file from the executable you download, put it in the root directory of an SD card with the name LEOIMG.nbh. Put your phone into bootloader and it should ask you to install the OS. Then you will have the correct ROM, SPL, and Radio for your device.
EDIT: You need to update your profile to say where you live and who is providing your phone service; that way you will receive more specific guidance to your questions.

That's much more specific, thanks. So the serial will be the S/N under the battery on the phone I'm assuming?
Edit: I cannot find the official list of ROMS on HTC's site. When my phone is selected, under downloads, all it lists is the user manual. I'll keep looking in the meantime, but if someone could give me a specific link that would be great.
Edit2: After looking some more, all I can find are ROMs for other countries. All of them say "Not for use with T-Mobile(US)." I go to the US site, and it doesn't give me ANYTHING for ROMs.
Edit3: I decided to search the T-Mobile site instead, and there it was. So now I'm going to take your advice from above. Wish me luck.
Bumping with an update.
So I found it and got it on there. I still have one question though. What's the red text in the bottom left corner during boot? Is that supposed to be there on a stock phone? It doesn't seem like it.
Picture: http://i54.tinypic.com/107p3t3.jpg
Edit: One more question. When I flashed the official HTC .nbh to my phone, it erases everything right? What is this Task 29 program I keep hearing about?
any spl that ends 0000 is a stock spl. (not necessarily YOUr stock spl, but stock none the less.)
tmous stock spls are 2.08.0000, 2.10.0000 and 3.03.0000 (and possibly 3.05.0000 i think ive seen mentioned)
you can only get tmous roms from the t-mobile.com website,(or from various mirrors, but only officially from t-mobile.com) they arent on the htc website.
the red text is known as the RGD info, R for radio version G for protocol (dont ask me) and D for rom version, yes they should be there, they are always there on a working winmo rom, stock or cooked.
when you flash the flashing process performs a task 28, which only formats certain areas of the nand. task29 formats all of it, (well all the rom area anyway, not radio or splashscreen)
the reason its done is when you flash a new rom, if its smaller than teh original, some old data can be left sticking out at the end, which can occasionally cause instability,
Thats the theory, in practice its very rare, however it can be usefull to reset the rom area when issues have occured, especially after playing with android nand roms, which build multiple partitions. Personally i havent task29'd in about a year.
Many people offer it as step 1 in solving any problem, regardless of the problem, which i think is a bit extreme, and nearly always only works because you have to reinstall everything, and not really solving anything itself.

when you flash the flashing process performs a task 28, which only formats certain areas of the nand. task29 formats all of it, (well all the rom area anyway, not radio or splashscreen)
the reason its done is when you flash a new rom, if its smaller than teh original, some old data can be left sticking out at the end, which can occasionally cause instability,
Thats the theory, in practice its very rare, however it can be usefull to reset the rom area when issues have occured. Personally i havent task29'd in about a year.
Many people offer it as step 1 in solving any problem, regardless of the problem, which i think is a bit extreme, and nearly always only works because you have to reinstall everything, and not really solving anything itself.

Thank you so much for clearing all of that up. I am going to take it down to T-Mobile tomorrow to see what they can do about it. Is there anything I should tell them? Because certainly they'll ask me why the phone is still at the tutorial portion as if it's the first time it has booted up. I'm assuming I'll just tell them I did a factory reset? I just don't want to get turned away because I "tampered with the phone."
Thanks again, this has been a huge learning experience for me. I'm more of a computer guy, and I've been trying to get into working more with phones.
enter bootloader, and so long as it says one of the stock spl's i mentioned above, and it is running a stock rom from tmobile, then it will be fine. Playing dumb is always a good idea, too. Yes say you tried a hard reset.

I've not had to take mine back to stock, but now that you mention it I believe it may use IMEI rather than S/N.
http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
I list the page that includes several devices.
EDIT: It is indeed IMEI.

[Q] HTC HD2 SPL Version

Alright,
Today my touchscreen stoped working. I was running android and the phone has the HSPL 2.08 version installed.
After one day trying to get it to work, i managed to flash the 6.5 win mo back. After that i thought the HSPL was gone, well you guessed already, it didn't. So i used the HSPL 4 installation tool, selected spl 2.08 and booted right into boot loader to see if it worked. And well yes it worked but here comes the question.
Now there are 4 sentences:
The first with a serial code starting with PB and ending with -BC
Second it states SPL-2.08.0000 8g XE
Third MicroP(LED) 0x05
At last: MicroP(TOUCH) 0x30
My phone is from the beginning of 2010 i want to send it to htc to let the screen be replaced, my question is: is the SPL version the right version and will there be no ugly questions from HTC if i was running android / had HSPL installed?
Already thanks!
That spl 2.x is only correct if you have a tmous.
Assuming you don't have a tmous, You should either flash the rom again but from sd, or use HSPL2 or HSPL4 to match the spl to the rom.
If you Do have a tmous, that's fine.

It looks right to me.
The surest way to do this though is to find your stock ROM via HTC Support (international) or tmobile support (TMOUS), they will have you enter your IMEI/SN and so will ensure you get the correct stock ROM from your phone.
You have to flash via SD, RUU will not replace your SPL, but SD will replace your SPL and everything else to ensure it is on the correct stock everything.
Thanks for the reply's,
Dont got a tmous. So if im correct i need to place the the file in the .exe file from the htc support site (witch i downloaded the latest rom) named: RUU_signed.nbh toe leoimg.nbh and put in on my sd card, next i need to go into boot loader and it will do all the work?
I found a video what describes stated above: http://www.youtube.com/user/inmatrixout#p/u/6/N5gYQ3A7KqA
Thanks!
Alright,
Just put the nbh file to my sd card and renamed it to leoimg.nbh then booted into the bootloader and the 3 colord screen pops up. Next screen flashes to white with blue letters saying: loading...
Stil is there after 2 mins, in other words.. freezed.. what sould i do?
Already thanks!

what size sd card are you using ?
If you have 2gb it will be fine just be sure to format with "fat32".
Make sure sd card work well.
Make sure your battery isnt under 50%.
And finally make sure you downloaded right rom.
thats all, try that and report back , i hope you succeed .

I have a 8 gb card, witch i formated to fat32, i dunnow if i got the right rom, well i got this rom: klik from the xda page klik
But i downloaded another rom from the htc site, i didnt flash it with that one, but i did with the one i provided by link.
Already thanks!

Oh, and by the way, it seems that the rom i downloaded from the htc site is simalar to one i downloaded and flashed provided by me in the link above.
-- Update:
- After watching the video i provided earlier and examine it closly i saw that the hspl version (1.42) was changed to spl 1.42. I know i did install hspl 2.08 with hspl 4 and did uninstall hspl with hspl 4 just by selecting the option spl 2.08 (or something like that.) Next poped up a alert box witch told me it was done.
So im asuming its good to go for servicing..? What you guy's think?

ok... if still that doesnt work try 2gb sd card and make sure you download rom from htc web site with your phone serial number, because if you have wrong rom you may brick your phone.
if it successfully flashed from SD and you do not have HSPL anymore then you are good to go.

Well thats what i wanted to tel you is if you look at the picture youll see a red line, in my case there is standing SPL-2.08.0000 8G XE, the other information is indentical to mine. So, i think i got HSPL Uninstalled, what do you think?
Thanks!
Yes, you no longer have HSPL on there, which is good.
But if I understand you, it now says 2.08 which is not ok for regular hd2. Yes it works, yes it's stock, but spl 2. ONLY ships with tmous roms, therefore any regular hd2 found with spl 2 can only have gotten in that position using hspl or Goldcard,,, both warranty voiding practices.
For reg leo, you need 1.42.0000. 1.66.0000 or 3.03.0000
Alright, the 1.66 sounds familiar. But my usb port is olmost broken. What to do what to do.. :S
from the menu i only could choos 3.03.00 so flashed it, dft we hacked it come on front but it doesnt matter... now there is this information about the spl:
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
Hope that this is the good one???
Alright, another update...
- thought to myself, 3.03 well if this is the one, the leoimg.nbh should work.. And guess what.. its updating from the leoimg.nbh witch was extracted from the exe file, witch i downloaded with my serial number.. i think im good to go
- last update
-- update complte
-- UPDATE SUCCESS
Sounds clear to me, in boot loader no hspl or something like that.. thanks for the help guy's!!
Cheers to yall!
My advice is to go to the HTC Website and download the ROM for your phone (you need to put the phone's serial number to get the ROM). Since you are returning it for repair, then it doesn't matter what version of the ROM you use as long as it is a valid one for your phone.
Take the downloaded .exe file and rename it to .zip. extract the .nbh file and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh. place it in the root of a FAT32 formatted microSD Card (less than 8GB in size).
Boot the phone into Bootloader mode and the ROM will flash - if you follow the instructions.
These stock ROMs (and the mobile phone company branded ROMs) contain the main ROM, the RADIO ROM and the SPL. and by using the SD Card method ensures that everything is flashed.

Thanks for the info, why i couldn't flash it..? I think because it was expecting a tmous rom, (2.08 spl) just redid it with hspl 4 dont ask me how i managed to do it with a broken usb port on the phone.. :S. Well i managed and did accomplish it. Rom 3.03 is on it now. Tomorrow im going to the htc store for servicing.
Thanks to all!

I assume that you meant a 3.14 ROM with a 3.03.0000 SPL.

[Q] HD2 Bricked! please help!!

i searched and searched all over xda but no thread could give any definite answer.
here's a summary of my problem:
I've been using android on my phone through NAND for quite a while, but the "tinkerish" part of me wanted to try windows phone 7 for a while. i "had" spl 2.08 and the correct radio, magloader also installed. but the problem was that i needed to perform task29 from hd2 toolkit but my phone wasn't being detected by pc...giving he "qualcomm driver" thingy....so i figured flashing a stock win 6.5 from sd card will make an easy alternative task 29 wipe then use active sync and reinstall hd2 driver....i tried the 3.14 wwe rom but it failed and now my phone is stuck at bootloader....can't DO ANYTHING!
it gives:
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-3.03.0000 XE
MicroP(LED) 0x05
MicroP(touch) 0x30
please don't ask me to search and stuff...i'm kinda desperate now :/
95 views and non knows how to help? :/ come on guys...help a fella HD2 out...here's few more info...tried flashing a 1.66 wwe win mobile from sd, it didn't work...tried flashing radio from sd card, it didn't work, tried flashing magloader, it didn't work...i contacted HTC support and i gave my serial number, turned out my phone is shipped from india...downloading an indian ROM now...but very slow connection and i'm eagerly waiting to try it out...
you must have HSPL 2.08... also, install WMDC for correct drivers, boot to threecolor (bootloader) and connect device via USB... message Serial must change to USB... then you can flash WM (best is original WM not cooked) or perform Task29
Was the phone Sim-locked to an operator?
I'm no expert, but I have read of phones failing if incorrect stock ROM re-flashed, ie, you need the same ROM for the country & Sim-lock as the original. Sounds like you might be on the right lines with the Indian ROM..
Good luck
where to get the WDMC drivers? will i overcome the qualcomm driver popping up in windows? it's the main reason i couldn't do a task29 in the first place....because in bootloader i do get the serial written down, but it never changes to USB because windos can't verify the driver.....thank you.

no it's a non branded EU model...yeah probably the indian ROM will help...but very slow download speed...i can't wait ^^'
From what I've read on Task29 thread (I will search and post a link here), doing Task29 will erase the Radio too. So, after finishing erasing the phone, you must install the radio. I'm not 100% sure. I did a Task 29 on my phone just now and for safety, I installed the radio again. Then I was able to install a stock ROM from HTC site. Worked for me. But wait for someone with more experience than me.

i had knowledge of this before, thanks for reminding. the problem is that i can't do a task29 in the first place due to a lack of driver. but of course, when i'm able to do a task29 i'll re-flash the radio.

hmmm...just tried that....didn't work either :/...gave an "error 260".....i read that the qualcomm CDMA driver will popup when one has a faulty HD2...but mine works great...or "worked great" before this....i can't seem to find out what's going on...
Good news at last! the Indian ROM worked and my phone booted to windows 6.5! ^.^ now i'm letting it charge before trying to flash windows 7. next step will be spl 2.08 and magloader thanks to every one that reviewed this thread and post replies. hopefully see you in the windows 7 development section soon. this thread can be closed now, in the hopes to help whoever has a similar problem. cheers!
Good news!!!
