Not exactly. It's a "leak" and not an official release. But instead of being a ported international I9000 ROM it's native Captivate, which among other things means we get support for the Captivate-exclusive Audience chip (isolates voices for outgoing noise reduction). Native Captivate ROMs are also generally a little more stable on Captivates.
Since it's just a leak and complete source code hasn't been released yet there's a little less potential for tweaks and modifications, but it looks like Watsa has assembled all the existing hacks into a nice package.
Link is UP finally
Remember guys this is initial release so take it easy on me
I will be uploading a flasher kit soon similar to Apex for this

RC theme to try if you like Honeycomb Blue for Redux 1.2
Inspiration and original imagery Huge thanks to haxzamatic! > > >
With help from Mendozinas @ UOT for the bulk of the original port work! > > >
This theme is for Redux v 1.2, Ported from the original Honeybread theme chooser theme with some amendments.
The theme is not perfect yet. There are still some things that are not quite right. I am working on these at the moment. Unfortunately I am not a themer or theme porter (first attempt) so I will do my best. If anyone has tips, fixes or bugs, please feel free to post in this thread.
These are:
1) Original unlock icons have a square glow. Not sure the best way to tackle this
2) Drop box notification items using black text on black notification back ground
3) Titanium backup using progress / seek bar for free / used space out of alignment
4) Maximise expand list button looks out in settings menus.
[Theme] Honeycomb Blue for Redux v1.2 (RC1) - link temporarily removed
Wallpaper if desired:
Changelog:
RC1 - updated Notification power widget "on" buttons and Battery colour to static "3E5C9A" to match status bar icons.
Beta4 - Fixed Lock screen unlock image alignment issue
Beta3 - Fixed black on black text in notification pull down
Beta2 - Updated Progress / seek bars to represent original Theme chooser apk
Beta1 - First test release
First of all could you change the battery to SCB version O which I mentioned in other thread?
And it was sometimes hard to see where to put "ticks" (or whatever) in multi selection situations. Maybe some more contrast there?
Otherwise nice work
Thanks for your work.
Going to flashed it right now.
Edit:
Wowwww this looks great man!!
Only one thing. I find it a little bit difficult too see if a item in the powerwidget in the notificationsbar is selected.
Edit 2:
Personally I loves this more then the themed 1.2 version.
I say a third redux version: 1.2 honeycomb

I know it can be done, but not sure if I want that myself.
I may do a second version like that for people to use where the battery 100% of the time matches the data connection icons.

I know they look good in the menu. Not sure about browser though. I think maybe there you mean?
The icons are all the original from the theme chooser theme. If I can correct them with my limited photoshop skills, I will

The problem is similar to this one. Colours are too close.
I already changed rom so I can't take any screenshots. But I think I'm going back to Redux very soon.

Sorry forgot to update the link.
I'm not going to be doing any further work on the theme over this weekend.
Although I link and thank the original author for his work in this thread, I hadn't officially asked him to use his amazing images in this port.
I have asked him now and I am awaiting his response but it just wouldn't be right to continue working on it until he has explicitly given his permission for me to share this theme.
When I moved to Redux, I missed his great theme immensely and wanted it ported immediately but I did get carried away with how nice it made Redux look and wanted to share it without thinking about the original author's feelings towards it.
Hopefully he will give me permission to continue, so fingers crossed.

Thanks. Looks very similar to how mine came out (although yours are a bit tidier).
I do think it looks more like a florescent light tube though, rather than the original glow.
This is what it looks like in-situ
I suppose there are the below choices.
1) leave as is
2) Use edited icons like these
3) Recreate new icons from scratch
4) Lose the sliders
I dont think the last option is a good idea at all though.
I'm a huge fan of Widgetlocker and it has some pretty good skins for lockbar. Draw some inspiration out of those?
I cooked one framework myself and I'm really pleased at least with that Redux text at the footer. Font is Sony Sketch Bold if you're interested. Only thing bugging me is that grey backround at the notification widget. Should be black but no skills to change.
E: Wait. Is it that settings_header_raw.9.png?
iBolt Remix V0.93 – MIUI style AOSP ROM---Now with dual launchers as of version 0.92, one without an app drawer (true MIUI function) and a "classic" launcher that includes an app drawer. Both heavily moddified in the MIUI style.
This ROM is making progress towards a V1.0 release, and while it is very much in a usable state now as a daily use ROM, there are features and changes that I want to put in place (alot based on your feedback)before officially calling this V1.0, hence we are moving in that direction. Some people see the version number and think there are major issues still in existence, and that is not the case. There are some minor issues being worked on, but they are cosmetic and minor in nature

MIUI Launcher – based from version 3.1 by Vipitus – thanks for his work in translating and converting this to use as a base. This is a modified launcher based on QQLauncher and clones the MIUI interface better than any launcher I’ve seen so far. 4 row icon dock!
NO APP DRAWER, just like the actual MIUI ROM
---
"Classic" MIUI Launcher (as of V0.92) (includes app drawer) - heavily modified and customizable launcher based from ADW. 4 row icon dock!
---
ROM is based from Liquid's LGB 3.0 AOSP ROM – Thanks to Liquid Smooth ROMs for a great AOSP platform to use
---
MIUI Camera
---
MIUI Music
---
HTC style keyboard
---
Miren MIUI browser (stock browser also still included)
---
Large selection of MIUI wallpapers and iBolt Remix wallpapers
---
MIUI.us bootanimation (temporary, working on a custom bootanimation for the 1.0 or earlier release)
---
Lots of various widgets
---
Custom theming throughout (in progress)
---
And more...
---
---Known issues:
MIUI Launcher - Still some Chinese in a couple areas of the MIUI launcher. This can be easily deleted from view (clock/weather widget and default empty folders can be renamed or deleted). These are well embedded in this launcher and I am working on getting all of this out so it does not load as deafult widgets and folders.
---
MIUI Launcher - Default weather/clock is linked to Chinese weather only, can’t change it (at least not yet). I substituted Go Weather (MIUI style) in the screenshots. This widget can be deleted and replaced on your homescreen.
---
MIUI Launcher - Sometimes new widgets do not show up on homescreens until you reboot (very rare, may be fixed now)
---
MIUI Launcher - Phone and contacts icon in dock row are the same (tracking down source code causing this)
---
"Classic Launcher" - upon first bootup, if you go into "Launcher Settings" and return to the homescreen, the theme reverts to the standard AOSP icons. If you then go back into the Launcher Settings and change it from default to MIUI and restart the launcher, all is good and it will never give an issue again. Minor but something to be aware of the first time you load the ROM. Working on tracking this down.
---To do for 1.0 release:
Change/setup defaults in the launchers (widgets, some icons to be changed/enhanced, etc)
---
Fix or replace current default clock/weather widget in the MIUI Launcher (updates in Chinese only)
---
New bootanimation
---
Remove/translate any remaining Chinese in the MIUI Launcher.
---
Additional themes available (via the Theme Chooser)
---
Add themes/Theme Chooser options to settings menu
---
Possibly integrate Youlu Dialer / Contacts / MMS (MIUI-ish styling)
---
Change some apps default icons (at app level)
---
Other additions / changes / enhancements based on feedback from 0.9x versions
---Changelog:
V0.90 - 10/08/2011
Initial Release
---
V0.91 - 10/10/2011
Updated apps (Camera, Music, MMS, Contacts and a few others)
Theming tweaks to task bar and menus that were hard to read
---
V0.92 - 10/14/2011
Entire new based used - LGB 3.0
Add 2nd launcher - "classic launcher" with app drawer
Combined plans for iBolt Classic and renamed to iBolt Remix
Fixed MIUI Camera issues, much smoother and better quality
Fixed FC in MIUI Music app going into settings (option in settings to show "embedded" album art)
iBolt.MIUI theme option added to Theme Chooser. Base ROM is lightly themed, and future releases will have additional theme options available to enhance choices
Theme cleanup/enhancements - icon changes
Added options to settings menu (Launcher choices and Advanced Settings)
And probably some stuff I'm forgetting...
---
V0.93 - 10/25/2011
New updater script & binary
Started theming settings menu, will continue based on feedback
Fixed some icon sizing issues in the MIUI launcher
Tweaked various settings for improved performance
---Alot of work has gone into trying to mesh all of this together and tweak it to where it is so far, enjoy and let me know what you think. Alot more work yet to come as we progress to a V1.0 release.
---*** ALL TESTING WAS DONE WITH THE LATEST MR3 RADIO FROM THE 2.11.605.3 OTA, 1.48.00.906w_1, 0.01.78.0906w_2. May work with other recent radios but has not been tested with any ******
---NOTE: Backup your current ROM in case anything goes wrong so you will have a backup to revert to. I am not responsible for what happens to your phone using this ROM. You should not have any issues but by flashing this, you are doing so at your own risk.
---*** You MUST wipe data with this update due to the new base and the changes. If you don't wipe data you WILL have issues. The installer will wipe everything else (system, cache, dalvik-cache) ***

This is a known issue and being worked on for the 1.0 release.
I will probably have another release or two before 1.0, one later today or tonight (version 0.91) will have some updated apps and theming tweaks.
There will also be a release (separate from this one) which will be very similar except it uses a different launcher that has an app drawer for those that prefer that. I am not trying to fully clone MIUI with iBolt or steal the thunder from what is going on with the historical development of the team porting MIUI to the Thunderbolt. iBolt gives the look and feel of MIUI but the goal is to allow it to also have the additonal flexibility of AOSP so wanted features can be implemented. Basically MIUI meets AOSP.

I am not sure that is possible or even worth it. Alot of that is controlled beyond the app / ROM level and likely that App Store will have to disappear from the setup. I haven't checked into it in any detail yet so we'll see as we go.
Works great! Although I think the status bar shouldn't be transparent because when you scroll down the notifications bar, it looks janky.

Anyone else having issues getting bluetooth to connect properly or is it just me?
Thank you CM9 team for bringing the impossible to the best keyboard phone out there!
This thread is for us working slobs who are afraid of getting flamed in the Official CM9 threads. Flaming in this thread will not be tolerated and I will report flamers if necessary. This is a Tips sharing thread Of the people, By the people and For the people (cue patriotic pfife playing). I will attempt to keep relevant tips in the OP.

Tips:
To disable the "auto-add" of apps on your homescreens, go to "Market" "Settings" and uncheck "auto-add widgets".
TW Apps:
Ported TW apps in the app section work on CM9.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452004
Voicemail:
Sprint Voicemail works. As well as 2 other options found here. You need to follow the instructions for download and installation. Thanks to Alias8818 for fixing the redraw issues.
Phantom Voicemail Notification:
Clearing data in phone.apk has worked for some. Danipoak and tbob18 stumbled across this gem that worked for them:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1543057
Auto-Rotation issues:
There are three separate options for this, one for the default launcher home screens:
(Menu > System Settings > Launcher > General > Auto-rotate screen)
one general use with apps:
(Menu > System Settings > Display > Auto-rotate screen) and another in
and in accessibility
(Menu > System Settings > Accessibility)
For those having rotation issues this has helped some..flash either a TW ROM or the EL30 temporary boot flashable and do the Horizontal Calibration. For real stubborn phones it is recommended to Odin back to EL30 stock, calibrate and move forward from there.
Themes:
There is no Theme Changer working yet, that is upstream. Themes for now have to be flashed traditionally. There are some good CM9 themes in the Themes subforum.
Screenshot:
If your on CM9 hold the power and volume down button. The it'll take a screenshot. Or just hold power button and select screen shot.
Gtalk:
If Gtalk is missing Big Goron has a solution here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23417536&postcount=563
When you set up CM9 it keeps you logged in to Gtalk. Make sure to sign out to conserve battery (thanks Meetface).
Wired Tether:
If anyone is having trouble getting the Wired Tether 1.4 to work here is how:
IMPORTANT: USB debugging must be off. With cable unplugged and usb debugging off start the Wired Tether 1.4. Click to start tethering. Now connect the cable to the PC. It will install drivers (again...I know). When it completes the driver installation a new network will appear and $$$ Profit.
Native Wifi Tether:
If the built in Tether shuts off on you try leaving it on and rebooting. If it still doesn't work toggle it off and on. It may connect, disconnect then connect and start working.
100Mhz minimum frequency issues:
It is recommended by the CM9 team to flash this ROM and not change the kernel or any governor settings and your phone will drop to 100 Mhz. They also state the default setting is the best for battery life.
Thanks to all that have contributed. If you really like one of these tips find the post and thank that person. If you see a tip I missed and think it needs to be here in the OP please PM me.

That's what I'd like to know too. Currently the battery drain on CM9 is pretty high. Just about as bad as the original stock ROMs were.
Bro there is already a thread with tips.

Don't ask that. Unless you find another user who uses their phone EXACTLY like you do, you can't compare. What is good for one person is bad for another. There are only 3 kernels. Try each out for a day and see how it works for YOU.

Ummm...no there's not. Opinions and comments are not tips. Too many people giving opinions. I don't want opinions in this thread. Like the OP says I just read 23 pages of which 22 are praise and some bugs. This is for tip sharing.

To disable the "auto-add" of apps on your homescreens, go to "Market" "Settings" and uncheck "auto-add widgets".

Nice.
It is also been said that the ported TW apps in the app section work on CM9.

Couple of tips.
- Don't like the Market spewing new apps on your home screen? Just disable it in the settings.
- The persistant search bar can be disabled in Trebuchet's settings.
- Nova Launcher is an alternate to Trebuchet. I'm using it. It has a couple of useful features, like grid size. You can also disable widgets in the drawer, and get your standard long-press menu back. I highly recommend doing this if you use Beautiful Widgets, as that will spam up your widget drawer. Use AppWidgetPicker 2.0 pushed to /system/app to take care of this.
- Want your 4G toggle? There's a widget for it. It'll show up in the quick panel later.
Unfortunately, the voice actions are not available as of yet. Voice Search can be downloaded from the Market, but the speech-to-text as demonstrated on the GNexus is nowhere to be seen. It's an upstream issue.

Its geolocation still isn't working right. It still may drain battery. I don't recommend it at this point (unfortunately).

What modem should this be run on? Also, I know the memory is repartitioned, but how is it that they were able to squeeze ICS onto what is supposed to be less than half the capacity it needs? Is there anything compromised by this (and I'm not talking about bugs and update-ables)?
I am definitely excited to try it out... I think I will have to be patient and wait for the alpha bugs to be ironed out first though, I'm too much of an end user.

It is recommended to use EL30 but I did not like It with my TW ROMs so stuck to EI22.
They trimmed a lot of fat but it still takes up more than CM7 in our system RAM which could cause some slow downs or even the occasional reboot.

Auto-rotation
Quick note about auto-rotation: There are two separate options for this, one for the default launcher home screens:
(Menu > System Settings > Launcher > General > Auto-rotate screen)
and one for a more general use with apps:
(Menu > System Settings > Display > Auto-rotate screen).

Hiding the drawer icon is definitely something I'm considering However I have a few ideas to improve it as well, perhaps a sort of "quick launch bar" in a row where the icon is currently located.

No problem buddy! Im trying to find more bugs and ways to make it better...Last night when I downloaded the APK and tried to install it my phone wouldn't let me cuz it said "App not installed. An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed." The way I tried to install it was using Root Explorer and just over writing the app by installing the new APK but i guess something is going wrong with the signature cuz ive never seen this happen...so I just went to the playstore and uninstalled it from there and re-installed the new copy from there....But i still have one more issue. Whenever you install a new launcher from the play store and immediately after you click the home button the OS prompts you which launcher do you want to use..i have 3 launchers installed (Nova, Chameleon, & Tile) But the OS never prompts me which launcher do I wanna use...
UPDATE: Alright so I got it working now. Android now prompts for the launcher >>> https://docs.google.com/open?id=0Byxlw5J4qbOvZDNKY21yV282TGM
But one more bug I found is that whenver you go to the widgets in the app drawer and you drag for example Airdroid 4x1 Widget Tile Launcher crashes.
This is extremely promising... Keep this up, if you play you're cards right, you may just have the most "innovative" launcher out there

Hmm ok. Are you on ICS? Dropping widgets is still being worked on, added it to the known issues list now.
As for prompting for the launcher, it should prompt you every time you install a new launcher, strange if it didn't. It's possible to go to Apps -> Your current home launcher -> Clear defaults to make it prompt if that happens again.
I'll be returning home this weekend, hope to get a new build out soon Cheers

i love this launcher!!
here some ideas:
- make it more flexible (the user no more needs to sets numbers of colums and rows)
then:
- option to choose min tile size (width and height)
- option to choose from horizontal scrolling or vertical scrolling in home
- option to choose paginated scrolling (regardless scrolling orientation) in home
- drawer categories
- option to enable google search bar near the app drawer button
- option to replace the launcher menu in app drawer with google play shortcut (or another app)
- fix custom color (can't set a custom hex color on nexus s cm10)
add these features even in a paid version and i'll buy it
keep it on!!
Hey guys,
I love the DashClock widget and use it on my lockscreen as well as my homescreen. However, I feel that having the big clock on the homescreen is redundant and unnecessary. At the current moment DashClock does not have an option to disable the actual clock (that I am aware of). So I am looking for something that is essentially the same as DashClock but with just the notifications and no clock.

Right now it's removed wholesale, as it was a quick and dirty hack. Let me take a look and see if there is a way to discern where the widget is being displayed and programatically hide the clock instead.

Do you have location services disabled?
The widget queries for your location, in order to translate that location (latitude / longitude), into a woeid, that it then passes to yahoo weather to retrieve the weather data.
You can view your logcat to see the widget working to obtain your location etc, to know if it is working. For example, here is essentially the URL call being made on my phone:
http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?w=24700990
Are you able to access this URL from your phone? If so, there shouldn't be any reason weather can't be retrieved based on your location / woeid, unless yahoo simply can't find a valid location based on the data passed in.
EDIT: Well hell, I starting replying to this, got sidetracked, came back to finish, hit submit, and see it was essentially already answered

Okay, played around with the decompiled .smali code some more (rather than working from source), and I was able to "conditionally" control / set whether the clock & date appears based on whether the widget is displayed on the lockscreen versus home screen.
Lockscreen (with clock / date):
Home Screen (w/o clock / date):
This should pretty much be what you are looking for. As mentioned, I don't use this on the home screen, but for those that do, until / if this is supported in the actual app, it should hold those over looking for the widgets w/o the clock, etc, when displaying on the homescreen.
It's certainly possible I broke something in the process, hacking this in, so let me know if you see any issues.
Be sure to first uninstall your official version, and after installing the modded apk below (click to download / install from phone, or use adb to sideload), don't forget to hide the 'settings' icon in the Advanced drop down of dash clock widget as well.

EDIT: I just went through the process of uninstalling the official widget, clearing cache/dalvik and then rebooting and installing your tweaked version.
