Radio FM - HD Mini General

RADIO FM Works if:
Go to WM
Conect your headset ( I tested it with 2 headset with micro: Original HTC and sansung)
Start fm radio in WM
With FM radio on , run haret
Start radio fm in android.
You can heart the FM radio without 5 seconds sound problem.
If you use headset with micro you have stereo , if use normal headset you have fm radio mono.
Works well until next Phone restart.

Not very much: After 75 ' using:
- Munjeni Rom with 169 updates
- Exchange with mail when it arrive
- Pop3 mail and gmail mail every 15'
- Run gps with voice every Km (The best software in my opinion to do Jogging)
- GPS ON
- FM radio ON
- Display off
Battery consume: 208 mH starting with 75 % and finishing with 56 %
After stopping GPS and Run GPS : 158 mH display 40%
Stopping FM Radio : 145 mH display 40%
For me very good results.
PD : The sound and reception are very good.

FM Radio for wizard/mda vario?

Is it possible to use the wizard for a fm radio? I have read some diff. threads but haven't been able to come up with a answer about the wizard. Any help would be great.
Thank You, Great site I've learned alot !
No it's not
(removed the answer)
fm radio are analog signals based around 87.5 to 108.0 MHz
gprs/edge/umts are digital signals based around 900Mhz -> 2Ghz
options are to get a SDIO fm radio card
or get a wired headset with radio integrated
Thank You for the great reply Rudegar. Any suggestions on were to find?
DOnt some of the newer HTC phones have fm radios?
yeah they use an extre chip on the pcb to handle it i believe
some people believed the transiver was onchip on the newer Qualcomm
cpu's but as i dont show on their cpu blockdiagram i'd asume there
is a special chip on the pcb
it have nothing to do with the gsm radio
they dont even seem to share antenna
an with the new touch cruse it use the wired headset as antenne so it dont work
with bluetooth headset or using the pda speaker only :S
>an with the new touch cruse it use the wired headset as antenne so it dont work
>with bluetooth headset or using the pda speaker only :S
Like with most/all fm enabled phones...
surely fm radio and better camera are the only thing wizard is missing in my oppinion

Bluetooth reduces Touch HD battery life dramatically

I just last month purchased a Touch HD (Blackstone) which I've really enjoyed. And I paired it with my Bluetooth headset (Jabra BT5010) which was used to pair with my HTC p3300 Artemis.
Last month, every day my Blackstone’s battery life is just 10~12 hours between charging, even with no call and other usage. I thought maybe 3.8’ screen have drained much power.
Last morning, I happened to turn off Bluetooth function of Blackstone after a full charge. Then I find there is still 62% battery life remaining after 24 hours with average usage. That means the battery life could last for 3 days without Bluetooth turned on.
For sure, Bluetooth drains much power from my handset. But also I don't want to toggle the Bluetooth setting on/off every time I want to use Bluetooth headset? That would significantly cut into the convenience of this item. Is there some advice or is something my Blackstone misconfigured?
PS:
My Touch HD: Rom 1.57.831.1 (47324) WWE, Rom date 04/08/09. CE OS 5.2.20776 build 20776.1.4.9, radio 1.14.25.24, protocol 52.64.25.34U, Bluetooth 2.0/2.0+EDR
My Bluetooth headset: Jabra BT5010.
Bluetooth software: btIO v0.6
You can try to disable beam if you didn't already.
I keep BT always on and with average use my battery lasts about 2 days. I tried several cooked ROMs and battery life seems the same.

Do you mean go to start->settings->connections->beam, and uncheck "Receive all incoming beams."? I've disabled that, but the power is still leaking dramatically.
In "comm manager", there is no item about beam.
(just 7 items I have as following
Airplane Mode: off
Phone: on
Bluetooth: on
Wi-Fi: off
Microsoft Direct Push: off
Data Connection: off
3G: off)
Do anybody have any advice?
Thanks in advance

FM Radio...hardly tuning radio stations

Hi there!
My Leo's default FM radio hardly tunes a radio station when I click on the automatic search button.
However, if I go on clicking 1 by 1 (90.0, 90.1, 90.2 and so on til 108.9) I'm able to clearly listen up to 25 radio stations without any noise, so the quality is just fine.
My question: Is there a way to change a parameter in the Registry, so that the FM radio does not have so much "objections" with the receiving quality of the available radio stations?
Thanks for reading.
Cheers!
it seems not. this has been brought up several times, andthe result always ends up with the summary that yes indeed the fm radio is in fact rubbish.
there's a "de emphasis" tweak in bsbtweaks which helps slightly, but don't expect miracles.
you'll just have to set your presets manually

[Question]FM Radio

Does someone can ear FM Radio on the HTC HD2 (with headset connected). The frequence is always bloqued at 87.5 Mhz, no way to search a radio or to change the frequence.
If someone knows a good .apk for FM Radio, I want it
I'm using RafDroid 4.2.0 Ext (Nand v2.2.1)
Thank you...

Try Spirit FM Radio. You can find this by searching the forum or market.

Thank you, but same problem with this software : BroadCom chip found, but no FM feature started
Perhaps the wrong hardware driver
you gotta use htc oem headphones for it to work. i ordered a pair and the radio started working. 4.99 on ebay
I found myself the solution , the only way for me to have FM Radio : switch on BlueTooth before starting the FM Radio program... It's on the same Chip !
Have a nice day
I'm a bit late to this thread, but...

I'm surprised about that. Other 4 contact jack headphones won't work ?
Which "Audio Method" are you using ?

I believe this is a Broadcom based device, so my "UART Mode" should work if Bluetooth is off, and if my app has access to SU/root. But the app needs the Bluetooth UART device to be one of the following (unless you configure a custom setting):
"/dev/s3c2410_serial0",
"/dev/ttyHS0",
"/dev/ttyHS1",
Thanks !
