Using WIFI
the samsung (WP7) is so slow compared to Dell streak on android 2.2.
Any ways to speed this up...Sick of watching a 4 inch screen load? They could as well put in a 2 inch then....
Might return it....if this is the case
i think u have use over ur data cap.. my one is fast
I don't understand both are using same WIFI. And my streak finishes like 10 sec quicker... can't be true...or there is somethin wrong in my settings.
Any help is much appreciated...

I was expecting a joke there
Too bad, jt actually takes my omnia 10 sec longer. Is there any chance it takes mobile internet over wifi. How can I check these settings?

I was wondering how can I enable fast boot so my phone starts up in like 20 secs. I have saw it on a htc phone with bootloader unlock.

That has nothing to do with an unlocked bootloader, HTC devices from the Desire HD upwards come with a hibernate function, thats lets the device boot quickly, this only happens because the device is not actually off just asleep!
If you were to pull the battery, the HTC device would take just as long to boot as any other device!
Fastboot is just the name of the program, it doesn't have anything to do with booting more quickly...
I just sold my HTC Flyer and ordered a Nexus 4 and am wondering how fast the nexus 4 boot time is?
I doubt it will even come close to the HTC Flyer which is 4 to 5 seconds if it is turned on at least once per day. Anyone have an idea of how they did that?
Former flyer owner, don't remember it being that fast. I don't own a 4 yet, but the boot time on the nexus 7 is pretty quick, and I imagine its even quicker on the 4
33 Seconds.

If you left the Flyer off for more than a day it takes about 30 to 45 seconds to boot to the lock screen.
Oh yeah I know what your talking about, the HTC fastboot option, basically works like hibernate in xp. Yeah it was about 5 seconds with that enabled. Nah I don't think anything will boot that fast!

I am totally stock and never done nothing to this bloody thing, done the update yesterday, andddddd it still takes about 30 seconds to turn on and it is still dropping the Internet connection. Let me ask you something, if you bought a brand new car, took it home and from then on it takes over 30 seconds to start it and while driving the engine cuts out now and again, what would you do.

I would join a support forum and whine about it. That always solves the problem.

I would first make an intellectually dishonest analogy. Totally.
Seriously, this takes the prize for the most unrealistic and unreasonable complaint of the month. The audacity of a consumer electronics device taking a mind-numbing 30 seconds to boot into the operating system. It should be as instantaneous as simply applying 12vdc to a starter motor despite the fact that booting an operating system is nothing like starting a car.

30 second boot time is decent. Mine takes like 90 seconds on a fresh install, stupid PA 3.0 screwed my filesystem over

First, a car & a tablet are two different things. Second, it takes my N7 OVER 30 seconds to boot. So what's the big fuss?
Rma and get another n7. Sounds like its defective

30 second boot time is normal. Mine has always booted in 30 seconds and I don't have a lot of apps on there, and the device itself is extremely quick.
It's only 30 seconds. Find something valid to complain about.
Also if your routers reception is poor, it's not the tablets fault. Mine doesn't get a good signal from my bedroom because my router is in the living room. One thing I don't do about this situation is come to XDA and complain about it. Why? Because I am not 12 years old.
Why not stop acting like an 8 year old princess. Life will be better.

Maybe your unit is defective, or maybe you should stop thinking everything is perfect, you choose.
-Sent from Marino's Nexus 7-
Try changing the channel on your router, that helped me with dropped signals(just don't turn off the tablet and then you don't have to worry about the 30 seconds)
