Are We going to get some GingerBread Love???

People on the NexusS forums are already working on getting the GingerBread working on their Android Devices.
I was wondering if we will be able to get some GingerBread love here

isn't Ginger Bread running on the Nexus S already? lol
With all do respect sir.......please use common sense.
1. Wrong section.
2. Goggles tells you the same thing it tells us
3. I'm sure we will but the only thing I can do is be patient, I recommend you do the same.

They ARE indeed running Gingerbread! By the way... There is a section called Q&A!
Sent from my HTC MIUI Glacier using XDA App
What I meant was....people with other Android phones that do not have the GingerBread on it,are trying to find a way to get the GingerBread working on their devices.
They are looking for a solution on the Nexus S forums.
I hope it's more clear now.
P.S: Apologies for the wrong section. I meant to post in the Q&A section. I am sure one of the MODs will move it.
Please post questions in Q&A section.

Just because I am not native in English and used "THE" in front of Gingerbread makes me "something else"?
Well, imo, you are "something else"yourself for writing that comment.

wasnt wrong did a mistake while coping.
we just need a dev that can figure it out...
I asked them,
but Z answered:
This doesn't help us, the major problem for us is flashing a firmware into touch chip - we cannot do this. The current firmware won't allow to detect anything above buggy dual touch.
My_Immortal said:
As Z said, we need sources to modify libraries, so it's nothing of use at the moment.
Nice find though and thanks for letting me know!

I would kill for true dual-touch. Let alone multi-touch.

All we need is sources of the touch chip driver and rest devs like z will do.
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
And how do you think we can install the driver(s) with a locked bootloader?
If I am not mistaken, we just need the bootloader to be opened and we can install the drivers. Also, I think he said, somewhere in this forum, he has found the driver but then again, he can't test it as the bootloader is locked.

There is already a thread on this subject

Based on Turl CM9and Codename CM9can work.

The ROM is a hybrid version, I tested can use,

Is it the third or fourth tab to get the download?
whoops...it's the 4th tab...the only thing i have found buggy with this rom is that i can't get the startup tweaks to stick...who cares...it's otherwise a very nice version of ics...smooth and loaded with other tweakable features
hmmm...interested in this one as well but can anyone else confirm and maybe provide a mirror?

the difference for me was turl's camera didn't have any issues...with jokersax i tried my camera while playing music and the system completely choked up...other than that i haven't found anything different

Thats weird, I'm pretty sure that this tab (the 4th) was not there before
been trying to find the "Download" all through yesterday and the day before it with no luck.
Thanx for your translation, DLing now and will test it once it finishes...
As for the differences, I guess that they are the same differences that are between turl1 and JokerSax versions.

i thought there were only 3 as well...but whatever....the file is called "yeling-16"...the other things that make this rom different are the settings...also my big reason for jumping the neutrino ship was my music player would stutter when turning on the screen unless i set the cpu speeds high...i don't have that issue on this ICS...benchmarks are about the same...7960 in cf-bench ain't bad

You seem like a decent guy but, first the guy that took the time to answer your post is one of the biggest names and best developers here currently.
Second, what the devs do is way beyond 'hacks'. This is open source software which is basically rebuilding the os from the ground up.
In any case and as he said you have a mesmerize . So just flash mez builds. I would recommend glitched AOKP personally.

Im very aware that these are more than hacks. I currently have a d3 rooted and with rom and started with a d1. I'm sorry I didn't try to offended anyone by saying hacks. I was just trying to find out if I could help my friend root and rom his us cellular mez ( which at the time I was uaware that was its proper name sorry). Thanks for your reply though, now that I know what forum to look in I'll go there
