I was wondering if there was a way to text with the screen closed instead of having to pull out the stylus and click on the little on-screen keyboard.
I wanted to know if you culd text, with the keyboard hidden, like a normal phone? Almost exactly how the Verizon Voyager has the on-screen keypad so u can easily text with one hand.
Is there a plugin or anything out there like that, and sorry if this is a pointless thread.

Oh this is really nice, thanks a lot for responding. I really like this program.
But I was wondering if there was a way to get the voyagers way of one hand texting.
Like have the whole buttons like a normal cell phone
[1 ][2abc][3def ]
[4ghi ][5jkl ][6mno ]
[7pqrs][8tuv ][9wxyz]
but as an on-screen pop up
So, before I rooted and went to Eugene's new rom, I had the grey keyboard. Now I have the ugly black android one. Anyone know why or how to change it back? Thanks!
Okay so people are A) not gonna help you whatsoever or B) they are gonna come in her and be mean to you. I am not one of them. I think what you are trying to say is before you were using the HTC keyboard and now it switched to the Swype keyboard. Very easy to change. Long press a text box whether it be messaging app, browser or w/e you can type into basically. Long press in that box, options pop up. Choose Input method and change to which ever one you would like.
Thanks! I guess I dont remember having to have changed that before. I really appreciate it.
Hi guys,
I love the default JB-keyboard, but for some reason the <3 is taken out of the quick-smileys(used to be there, when you longpress the bottom right key). I would like to get this back. Is there some way to add/edit/replace/remove smileys from the list that pops up?
Or is my only option to use 3rd party keyboard? It was ok in ICS on my Huawei Titan..
..and by the way, how the heck do I get a new line(where's the "enter"/"return"-key) now in SMS?!
Bump for justice..?
i'd like to know how to get the carriage return key back and get rid of the smiley button.
Well, the possibility is certainly there, since the smiley-button is replaced by return-key in all other apps than messaging.
+1 for the carriage return key. It pisses me off slightly that I can't insert a new line in SMS. Anyone with any suggestion/advice please?
When I'm trying to write with my S Pen, I usually rest my hand on the screen. With TouchWiz, this isn't a problem, but having flashed Aosp, my poem doesn't write with my hand touching the screen. Even if use an application that has palm rejection, any fix to this?

Did you install GMD Gesture Control on your phone? If you did, there's a function named Touch Consumption, turn it off and you'll be able to use you pen while resting your palm on the screen

I appreciate the response.. Unfortunately this didn't work for me.. Still the same result... Can't get that feature to work on AOSP
Anyone having trouble writing (not printing) while using words with the letter "t" in it?
I've noticed while writing theses words and then crossing my "t" or "t's" it will most of the time erase the t and also a few characters after it. Its like the keyboard thinks I'm trying to make a correction but I'm just crossing my t after writing the word or words.
I've never had this issues with my Note 2 and my hand writing is very clean. It will to this 8 out of 10 times and its very frustrating.
Also I tried using a different keyboard like "Stylus Beta" and the "t" problem is still there? Everything else BTW works flawless.
No xposed installed, just rooted....
Annoying letter "T" problems Galaxy Note 4
Hey! I've had the same EXACT annoying problem! I wish there was away to disable the S-pen gestures.
Before I switched to using myscript stylus beta I discovered I did not need to cross my "t's" at all and it transformed to text correctly. Alternatively, because the gesture for corrections is a stroke from right to left, you can cross your "t" using a left to right stroke instead and that works most of the time.
