there the user sent his device simply back to the seller and gave the blame to kies and an mistaken fw-upgrading.

Possible but its equally possible that they charge for repairs .No way Kies will install SGS1 firmware .
If OP cannot fix by the normal methods then its worth a shot at service centre .
jje
as I've read in another forum, this leads to a hardware problem, so even the battery is broken.
Samsung knows how bad kies is, so they do not control it in detail.
they try to flash a new rom and when this fails, they send you an new phone.
in worst case, they send you the phone back, not even more.

Here is your problem. It needs to be an 301K resistor.
If it does not turn on at all there's no way they'll know how it died. Just send it for service replacement.

I ve read that the 301k resistance would not work with galaxy S II!
I am sure there is still a hope or solution for the latest samsung technology other than the JIG!!
And this is why you never use a pit or tick repartition.
Get a jig, get into download mode, put a sgs2 pit(repetition) and firmware in.
If the jig won't work, sent it back and hope they don't charge you.

I have did this manually and locally but didn't work on my Galaxy S 2!!
I am afraid when I buy this would also nit work!
The phone will be hard bricked with an incorrect PIT file. The good news is I am capable of fixing this if needed. I'm also much faster and simpler to work with than a Samsung Centre... . MOD's I'm simply trying to let the OP know an option if needed...
EDIT. Pm me if you need help...

Very nice, everything was clear and easy to follow (a little too slow for me, but I'm sure lots of people will appreciate your thoroughness). A couple of q's to clarify everything: I assume everything carries over to the vibrant right?
Is the 300k ohm just an arbitrary thing samsung chose, it at least has to be close to it correct?
And lastly, how long do you have to hold it there? I'm assuming from the product that you sell that you can just solder the resistors to the pins.
Where do I get the original froyo for vibrant so I can odin it to my phone?
Can you please help??
Thank you.

Anyway I really wonder how Odin+CF Root will damage your usb connector. Your cable is problematic, not Odin.
He is saying that odin didn't recognize the problem with his usb. Perhaps something that could be improved upon. Could've been explained better though
I has a sig
Dear all,
Clearly odin cannot dommage physicaly a usb cable or we are all together living inside the Matrix.
What i try to explain is that my computer have a usb port not well configured. I try to use odin on this slot and odin they PASS but in fact the flash crash.
I change the port and reuse odin and this time it works.
So the only concern is link to the realiability of odin, the fact that it state that the flash was passed and it was not the case.
This tools works well it's only a warning and not at all a critic against it.

I've tried my USB jig on my i9505 and my uncles i9500 with my jig and my brothers jig, and surprisingly, they still get the phones into download mode. I'm not sure if it resets the flash counter though.
Feature:
Forcing device into download mode.
Removing Triangle but not resetting flash counter??? (Still Unconfirmed)
TL;DR USB JIGS DO WORK, HOWEVER THEY ONLY PLACE THE PHONE INTO DOWNLOAD MODE!
I'll update the thread for newbs and noobs with a guide on how to use a USB jig, it's a good investment if you're scared you might brick your phone, they cost around a £1.
If you cannot obtain a USB Jig by purchasing, consider borrowing one, here are threads that have names of people who are available to lend you a USB jig:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1891197
Or make one yourself:

So it puts the device into download mode, does not reset the flash counter but does get rid of the triangle noting an insecure kernel? Then it works better than it does on the S3

Do you mean the bootloader that needs to be written as T-Flash to a microsd using Odin 3.09 or higher? (as per 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf) Isn't that just the same as sboot.bin written raw to first sectors of microsd?
I would be interested to hear if you managed to use that just for the "extreme hacking" angle of it :good:

I do not think the microsd is enough - the Note3 ONLY boots from microsd if you short R4075 on the mainboard - there is a notice from Samsung service somewhere around with a name like 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf that describes the details (and comes with a good picture of what you need to short).

I've sent it to a local repair shop nearby. . Not samsung..
He took the phone for a week and a half. He could not fix it.
He told me he even tried J tag..
His conclusion was that the motherboard is broken.
But I don't believe him because I think if the motherboard is truly broken the PC would not recognize the phone..
What do you guys think?

If it's that broken I suggest to take it to Samsung. They won't see any modifications anymore and won't take the time to dig deeper. Just tell em it did shutdown somewhere in standby overdays and never woke up anymore.

I understand you're having trouble getting your N9005 to download mode. I was having the same problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/help/help-sm-n9005-hard-bricked-sd-partial-t3070743 check my thread, it could be helpful to you.
See the threads I've mentioned on it. Maybe you can get ODIN to recognize your phone. But probably that won't be enough, at least it wasn't for me. You can give it a try though...

PIT file is a saving grace if it works. I've tried 6 different ones so far and none of them worked. Any other suggestion?
