My wifes phone is messed up after pressing the Speaker button while in a call. The phone switches the sound to the speaker but the phone application then becomes unresponsive. Pressing the Speaker button a second time does not turn of the speaker and the end call button also does not immediately respond. The call sometimes eventually ends after a few minutes and then no phone sounds, either speaker or earpiece can be heard on a subsequent call. All other system sounds and music play normally. If you press the power button to turn off the phone. it reboots rather than turning off. I have to pull the battery to get the phone back to normal. It has NoDo installed. No hacks, no SD card. Any ideas how to correct this short of doing a hard reset?
Update
I did a hard reset and reinstalled all of the apps. It still screws up when I try to use the speakerphone. Back to the ATT Store tomorrow for a replacement!

I have an issue that has gotten to be rather annoying with my Wizard. When I'm no a call, My case sometimes presses the center button on the D-Pad, and results in my call being put on hold. I thought that setting the device to turn off after one minute would eliminate the problem (my device is set to only power on using the power button when in standby. The problem is that this rule has an exception during a call. The call answer button is still active, and when the case presses it, I get my call put on hold again. There is also warning sound of any kind when the call is put on hold. Is there a way to deactivate the call answer button when on a call to avoid this issue?
well my wing has never had any serious problems but about three days ago when i was sending an sms and pressed the W button the volume goes all the way doen to silent but now it goes down to silent without pressing anything at all and prevents me doing anything ive reset the phone to factory mode anyone have any ideas what i can do?
try using anoth rom if anything call tmobile
i dont think changing the rom is gonna fix it and tmobile wants me to pay for another phone because of my warranty which isnt up with them but up with assurion
Does this only happen once or all the time? Mine seems to be stuck scrolling down until a button is pushed - like the down button is being held down each time it powers on.
Edit - It seems that it is the volume button that is causing the issue for me. It seems the up works, but pressing it down tends to do nothing and each time the phone is reset or turned back on the volume will go down and with the sound turned on for each key press you heard it beeping constantly.
I just received my nexus n it almost made me dead as i came from Magic n thought screen lock button would end the call but it woulnt i my call went for 30min before i realised it was still on so yeah end call by pressing the power button would be really useful
I believe you're posting in the wrong section.
If you end the call with the power button you won't be able to easily switch off the screen if you're calling via the speaker.
barely use speaker n it automatically switches off after sometime when on speaker but ending calls with the power buton would be nice
ever since i got my hd2, i've got this really annoying problem: when i make a phone call and hold the phone at my ear, it's supposed to shut off and lock the screen using the approximity sensor. but often, this wont work right, the sensor keeps enabling/disabling the screen, causing me to unwillingly press this football-field-sized "end call" button or to activate the phone pad and pressing those buttons.
this problem seems to occur more often when holding the phone at my right ear then at my left.
anyone know a solution? (maybe keeping the screen shut off during the whole call until pressing the windows button or something?)
I have an S5 with an official Samsung case and the volume keeps going to zero so i miss calls and texts. At first i though that i was catching the volume keys as i took the phone out of my pocket. I tried altering the volume by pressing the volume keys through the case but it did not work. In fact when you shut the flap of the case it closes the screen of the phone so the volume keys do not work.
I have checked the setting and i can't see anything that would cause this.
Anyone have any ideas??
