[Q] WiFi issue with Connectify hotspot

Hi all,
Been using my GT-i9505 for a while now completely fine. Used WiFi fine etc. However I've moved back to uni where I don't get WiFi and so I use connectify via my laptop and a wired connection to transmit a WiFi signal. I've used this for a few months perfectly fine for my iPhone and tablet (transformer infinity).
The issue that arises is that my gs4 connects fine and stats connected no issues. The data arrows flash orange and green but the data seems to stop working.
Best example is whatsapp which will not send messages or at best has a huge delay.
I rectified this by turning off Wi-Fi power save which fixed the issue but is bit really a fix SD this literally ate battery like nothing else. So wondered if there is s fix or anything I can do phone or computer side to fix this?

It is usualy recommended to do a data factory rest after an upgrade to avoid these issues Backup files to the PC or sdcard first.

Was there any solution to this as I am having exactly the same issue....I have an i9505 Galaxy S4 on UK EE which has 4.4.2 kitkat on there but find that its not automatically connecting to a WIFI network. I have to manually connect to it, luckily it already knows the password so doesnt need me to enter this but this is a real pain as it means I sometimes am using my 4G when actually the phone could be using the WIFI. on my S2 it would automatically connect, why doesnt it do it on my S4.
Can anyone advise what could be wrong? Is it a setting somewhere?

[Q] [HELP] Pc internet connectivity issue very irritating!!!!

Hello guyz. I need some help.
I want to use internet on my lappy via sgy. I have tried usb tethering & creating portable wifi hotspot but using them, the internet disconnects frequently (specially with usb, the connection gets lost or doesn't respond).
So kindly tell me a way to fix these issues or some other way to use internet (like by using bluetooth)...
NOTE: I am on HSDPA network.
try foxfi (playstore)
and next time remember questions go in the Q & A Section NOT general section!!!!
Any other way...
Oh sorry for posting in the wrong secrion. I have tried that foxfi app too but the disconnection problem persisted...
Is there any other app or a way to use internet via bluetooth??

Easytether, the easiest app for tethering i've ever seen it works well, i used it in college to bypass the proxy, this way i was able to play Quake Live in class during exams ^^"
You must have Data of course

Share WiFi from N4 to PC via USB

Hey guys, my PC decided today that it would fry the WiFi adapter. I don't have a Ethernet cable long enough to reach my PC. I was wondering if I could share the WiFi connection from my Nexus 4 to my PC via USB. And no, I don't want to use my data connection because it so slow. Is there a way to do this?

This is quite obvious. Turn on Wi-Fi and enable USB-Tethering. I would turn off mobile data, just in case

But doing that turn WiFi off automatically and leaves data on
Edit: nvm turning off data did it

Tethering Issue

Hello,
I use my phone as a dedicated modem for my pc. I used to have an S5 that did the job pretty decently, now with the S7, I can only tether for a few minutes before the internet connection is completely shut down on the pc's end, the phone keeps connecting to the internet without any issue. I then have to disable and enable the tethering back again to get it to work.
This only happens when using USB Tethering, WiFi hotspot works fine.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
