goodbye to my g2 - G2 and Desire Z General

I have decided to get rid of my G2. moving on to sprint. Sprint has better stuff to offer me. plus the company i work for gets a corporate discount.
It has been a great phone to me. I loved the phone but its time to move on.
so if anyone here wants my g2 it is up for sale in the market! price is negotiable.

Sprint sucks!

that is all!
I just switched from AT&T to Sprint 3 months ago. They've done more for me than AT&T has ever done, and I'll just say this: It pays to be with the little guy. If you ever consider switching from Sprint, go to T-Mobile. AT&T and Verizon ridiculously overcharge and give you less because they claim they have better service. The smaller guys seem to be far more lenient in terms of bending the rules and on pricing. If you want similar quality pricing and service with better customer service, go to T-Mobile. DO NOT GO TO VERIZON. They're just as bad as Sprint, if not worse, since they have a larger customer base and give less of a damn about you.
I've heard people complain about Sprint's customer service before, and even I think it's not as good as it was back on AT&T. I mean to say that it didn't feel as professional when I was on the phone with representatives. Back when the Evo was sold out, I did have a woman who worked with me (over the phone) for a few days to get one. You're right though about the stores. Even at the corporate stores, I was lucky enough to have one near my house that got a few shipments of Evos every week even though they were sold out nationwide, but they wouldn't sell me one since I had a SERO account. This was a corporate store too. I called up Sprint and told them I would cancel if I didn't get once since I was still in my 30-day window and eventually they budged and let me trade my ****ty Samsung Intercept for one. I've had reps hang up on me in the middle of a call too before. But on the flipside, they did send me an Airave (microcell) for free with no monthly charges since the signal refuses to penetrate my home, so that's alright.
But here's a tip, when your contract is up, you can upgrade your account to a SERO account. This information is available online publicly:
Go to http://sprint.com/sero
Use [email protected]
Employee Code: 383
Give it a look. You get better pricing and more perks.
Oh shi- I thought you were a teenager the whole time

Well, he edited the post today and removed the video. They must've done something right OR someone from Sprint saw it and decided to help him.
Sprint Sucks!
Sprint only has 2g in Lake Charles La where I live which sucks, so Sprint sucks for me and if you look at any customer service comparison reviews of all wireless companies Sprint has been last for years and that's a fact not opinion

Why is it so hard to sell my Evo?

So I recently got a new job and the company gave me a cell phone, so I no longer need my Evo, and I'm trying to save money, so I cancelled Sprint.
But selling this Evo has been so crazy hard to do. Anyone have any recommendations? I would really like to sell this guy to offset my ETF with Sprint.
how much
Sent from htc evo
$300 would be awesome, but I'm willing to accept offers if they are reasonable.
Craigslist and meet at a Sprint Store should work pretty fast. At $300 is a great price if it's almost new. I just paid $375 for a BNIB one off of Ebay.
Set up an Amazon Marketplace or Ebay, compare & 1 up the guy selling it the cheapest or autction it on Ebay.
EDIT: Highly recommend what the person above me said. That exactly is how I sold the Mogul, Diamond & the Hero.
where are you located?

Check with your employer on policies regarding personal use of the phone.
My employer has very strict policies against personal use of the company phone.
Swyped on my CM'D Evo using tapatalk!
I sell all of my old phones on eBay. I've sold 6 so far. The EVO will go for 300 in like 5 minutes.
The EVO you wish you had

True. I know a lot of people who got fired for sending steamy text messages or visiting porn websites.
If they gave you a Blackberry those are monitored on servers depending on the company you work for.

craigslist.org is what I use.. and very easy.. and free!!!
you wanna know why you cant sell it for $300? because of these:
1.) everyone has android
2.) alot of people already have an evo (like me)
3.) alot of people prefer verizon
4.) many people dont want to pay for 4g since not many places have it
5.) most people do what i do- wait for upgrade, and get it $400 of and get it brand new. $100 off what youre selling it for.
6.) some people want to hack verizon iphone onto sprint probably
7.) some people are waiting for a thunderbird on sprint with the tegra 2 processors (2 1ghz processors)
8.) like everyone above said: put it on ebay or craiglist. my dad sells random junk on it within a week all the time.

Well technically no you don't however now everyone who activates a "smart phone" pays the additional $10 for unlimited data.
Put good esn, also flashable to metro, boost, cricket

Man list that thing on Craigslist and it will be gone in a day! I sold one with a bad esn, non working screen and some scratches fr $100 on there! And yes, the buyer knew all this ^^, LOL
My area sucks. Sacramento is terrible. I've had it on Craigslist for about a week now with no bites. Maybe eBay is a better way to go.
i had my touch pro 2 on craigslist for 2 weeks.. with very little bites.
then someone wanted it... and paid my price - $15 discount.

FYI If you were thinking of getting the nexus S 4G

I ordered a pair of these yesterday over the phone with sprint, I asked them to match the bestbuy $149 price and they did, and they also waived the activation and gave me free shipping. And since I'm porting 2 numbers over from tmobile they are giving me $125 per line for that.
So if you hate best buy as much as I do, you don't have to deal with them if you can stand to wait a few days for a phone to ship out.
I'm going to spend that time backing up what I want off of my current phones and getting ready to ebay them or something.
I wonder if that only works for new customers, or if it works for those of us who upgraded.
EXACTLY what I did as well... Remember to fill out your paperwork for the port credit (you have 72 hrs).

The Nexus Rocks
Nice to know...I'm going to see if Sprint can credit my account the $50 difference I paid when I got my Nexus.
thanks for the heads up. wish i would of known sooner, i already bought mine from best buy. i paid the $199 bc i was adding a 5th line...i would take it back, but i already ported my at&t number over, so its a no go...oh well at least i'm still getting my $125 port-in credit.
i paid almost $600 for mine. got it on sunday at my local sprint store

why so much? I don't know really how sprint plans work, I didn't have a contract on tmo, does sprint have non contract plans like month to month that you're on so you didn't have to renew a contract?
my line was an upgrade....paid 199.99 tired to get them to pm they told me to get bent. I could return it but then its 35.00 restock....thats lame! They also reset my upgrade status from 75 to 150....so maybe I sholdnt complain to much.
i wasn't eligible for upgrade or discount so i paid retail. but so far i love this phone. i came from a rooted evo with aosp gingerbread

I hate beat buy as well they are selling it retail for $699 little over 8 bills with tax and a case. Screw that. This phone is awesome and I love it's on sprint

Anyone know if they'll price match in the Sprint store?
I just wanted to update, called UPS to tell them to hold the package at the warehouse, not able to do that only sprint can change it. I just called sprint they told me they can't change it either.
I specifically asked the rep I placed the order with if this was possible and I was LIED to.
Now I have to either try and work from home or take a day off of work to wait at my house for my phone to show up. What a ****ing joke, this isn't getting off to a good start at all.

Trade in your old mobile phone at Tmobile for credit towards new purchase!!

http://phandroid.com/2011/05/17/tra...and-get-credit-towards-a-new-one-at-t-mobile/
I will be looking at this program when i turn in my vibrant for a sg2 or i may trade it or sell it on craigslist but the program does seem very cool. check out the details above. The reason for this program they say is that the lifespan for most phones isnt very long and this will help with the big bill of the new high end smart phones.
WHAT DO U THINK?
I'd rather sell my phones than give them to carriers. You won't get the same money you would from a sale when you trade in.
It's like selling a used car. You'll get more in a private sale, but giving it to the dealer is easier. I'll stick to craigslist.
yea like he said ^^
its like giving your car to a dealer. its worth $5,000 but he's going to give you $2,000 for it for a trade, so that he can resell it for $6,000 and make a profit.
Same goes here. Say a vibrant is worth $350 in goood condition on ebay.
butttt doubt they'd give you more than say 125 to 150. they do it for profit, and to bring ppl from other service providers.
never the less, theres always ppl out there that will be more than willing to trade it because they dont know any better. haha. Dont get me wrong, it is a good idea for not only T-Mobile, but for those ppl out there that just want a new phone and dont care for their old one or what happens with it once they get a new one. Or even ppl who are coming from other providers and just dont want their old phone.
personally, I keep all my phones. In case of an emergency, or just to have it to play with. If i get the SGSII, I'm totally keeping my Vibrant to keep playing with it, give it to my gf, or just sell it for a good price on ebay.
They estimated $110 for my mint Vibrant on the website. Better off with craigs
For what it's worth, I just recently bought a used Vibrant on craigslist for $150 and it is immaculate. It seems like an OK idea for simplicity, but I personally wouldn't do it for the same reason I won't sell my car to CarMax.
There going after the consumer that either doesn't care or is lazy. $110 for a mint Vibrant is definately low IMO and I'm thinking you would get more on EBay or CL.

I agree I think that is low, but I think theybwould offer more for non T-Mo smartphones because they be would be getting a new customer, where they are just keeping you if they give you $110, thus no real new income or new customer. Someone should check to see what they offer for a Fascinate or Captivate, and see if they offer more for them.
Sent from my CM7 Powered Vibrant
Well the other thing is they offer a max of 300 which according to the masses who don't know how great a phone these are technically they have released several phones that were expected to compete or be greater than the vibrant since last year, even though quality and hardware is not really improved try a newer phone a couple months old, might get better amount. But i agree the vibrant is awesome and worth much more than that

T-Mobile wont sell them, they are using a third party to do this, who will clean them up and either sell them to someone like Assurion or the carriers where the phones originally came from.

Get the Facts Presently Gazelle is offering $157.00 for the phone if it is in perfect shape and about 20.00 less for one less than perfect. That means if Tmobile is offering 120-130 for immediate trade-in or you can wait 15 days and get 15-20 bucks more for your phone.......... or try to sell online @ Ebay or Craigslist
Those are the facts as of today....... It is an ok deal like all phone carriers their deal are not bad..rarely great..... just OK
I asked a T-mobile employee at the Mall Of America and at a T-Mobile store downtown Minneapolis and they both said they'd only give me 80$ towards a different phone.

Looking to Switch from Fascinate (Verizon) to Nexus S (Sprint)

Nexus S is free today at BB. I bought the Verizon Fascinate back in October, I was already looking into switching over to Sprint. I just want to get some opinions before I make the jump since it is really split second decision and if I leave Verizon and want to go back I say goodbye to unlimited data. Pricing is about the same as my plan goes. It will cost me about $175ish to cancel my Verizon plan, I should recoup a majority of it when I sell my Fascinate though.
I have no real issues with my phone. I have it rooted and it works great. No major issues with Verizon either and I have had em forever. I just don't really like the direction they are headed as far as tiered data plans/early upgrades/bloated phones etc. Plus I like that I can port my GV# to Sprint
Should I jump on today's deal and jump thru hoops to cancel my contract and sell my old phone. OR should I wait out my contract longer for a better upgrade later in my contract?
Any opinions appreciated, I'm stopping by Best Buy after work in about an hour and want to be set on a decision. Thanks.
Not sure what to advise but sprint will give you $150 just to switch to them so you can buy your way out from a contract.
I've been with sprint for 10 years now. I'm glad I did.

bit late now but I hear a lot of issues with signal and battery with the Nexus S 4G. my Tmobile Nexus S is perfect, however.
I got my nexus last week and the reception is perfect, meaning that I haven't had one drop call whatsoever. I don't go by the signal bars all the time. As long as I can make and receive calls, I'm good. And that's the area the Nexus hasn't failed in, at least with me. My cousin even went out and bought one Sunday from BB this past Sunday and he's very happy with it.
As far as Sprint, they're the best cellphone provider that we (wife and I) has used. Their Reps are always helpful when we call in for something. However, sometimes we get that one that acts like they don't know what they're doing. The plans are nice and affordable...and it's unlimited.
