Nobody really knows. I know VZW already included some of the fixes of 2.3.3 into the 2.3.2 versioning on the R800x. I'm thinking that largely this phone will be abandoned. The VZW appshop is already a travesty even when it works, GameLoft refuses to allow our model into the WAP Shop (you have to fake as an R800i or R800a to get in). Personally I think this is mostly due to Verizon and not SonyEricsson.

That is the link for the R800x (shortened to remove the hitID and sID and provider strings). If you alter that phoneID # to be other things, it shows up as other phones. I had stumbled upon what the phoneID was for R800i, but I forgot to write it down or bookmark it (silly me).

That is the full string... however in this one I changed the phoneID from 5186 to 5185. This changed the "detected" phone model to the Samsung GT-P7510. So the rest of the strings may be neccessary. try using it on the computer and cycle numbers until you find the R800i model.
That is unless somebody would be willing to look it up on their UK/European version of the GameLoft site and kindly provide the phoneID=#### string from the URL...

rooting is to get full access on the phone directory, simlock is just what the name says.

I have unlocked my SO-01B using unlock code from different site. But I had to 'Debranding' first, otherwise I could not get the screen to enter unlock code.

well good thing the last time I updated was to 3.41 and I haven't played online since LBP... homebrew would be so nice on this powerhouse (especially since they took away our OtherOS)

If using a DNS proxy will bypass the patch for this then that's an oversight on Sony's part. I can understand why the DNS proxy bypass the version check when you connect to PSN but not this.
I thought that 3.42 would prevent the specific code from running - as it needs to run during/pre OS loading.

Place two fingers on the screen, drag up or down to change the view. Test it with a city like NYC. The version of Maps with 3D is ver. 5.0.

1.9Mb file stating Bug fixes and Maps fixes. Must be on the Maps API coz the Google Maps itself is already >5Mb

When we had X10 there was no bootloader unlocking now the bootloader unlocking is here and I don't have arc. Always, always there is something that SE lacking. Sometimes they are short in supplies but good service and sometimes there are bunch of phone floating around but no service.
Where the heck is the LT15a SE?

do what i did
run sdk with admin
update it
change that file which is on the site
and move
AdbWinUsbApi.dll
AdbWinApi.dll
from the platform tools folder to the tools folder
and the rest is easy
Did you run the unlock??? did it wipe the phone?
What do you get left with?
Are you using r10 of the SDK? and did you find the usb driver folder here...

It did a factory reset I ran it again and it said I was already unlocked

And you update that
Then move those 2 files
Then with command promp do the rest.

Have a Three branded phone which I just flashed with the available debranded firmware and my arc still just boots up when I hold menu and plug in the USB cable D:.

i'm new in droid world, so what can we do after we unlock it? can we install video codec by ourselves? so the stock video can play mkv and avi file with hard decode
Just unlocking doesn't do anything special for the user. But if there are new roms it will better.
For forecast there are video players in the market that do play all video formats

it seems that many people are getting the bootloader unlock key for x10 but nothing works after that... the phone is not detected by fastbot!!

I make it a RULE not to accept OTA's from Sprint . But no I didn't notice, my Updates are disabled also.

This is a security update that was pushed out on 11/3/11. http://www.htc.com/us/support/shift-sprint/downloads/
What exactly is the problem when trying to get temp root? Hopefully it's a user error (no offense) and the hole hasn't been patched.
