just flashed the TMOUS Vision GB rom to give my stock GB on my G2. So far it's great, but is there any way to sim unlock the phone so i can use it internationally apart from having to call up t-mobile?
sorry if this has been asked already as well

Hi! I have a HTC Magic 32A from Venezuela, the specifications are the same as the Rogers one, so I want to know if I have the manual update from Rogers, can I flash my venezuelan magic without problems? Is there any risk? I don't think so but I just want to know, as I said before, the hardware has then same especifications. Will be the phone locked just for Rogers sim cards? My phone is not unlocked, it just accepts sim cards from movilnet. Thanks!
u can do it w/o any problem. but at first u need to make a goldcard to bypass the CID check.
I have an unlocked TMOUS HD2 (using unlock code) and i'm using stock rom 2.10 and i want to upgrade to the latest stock rom from the t-mobile site, will the phone be locked again??
Will the radio be upgraded too?
Thanx
You should be good to go after updating, should still be unlocked, and it will update your radio to 2.15
Not a problem u can use any rom bcause the unlock it's for the sim not the rom i already change my rom with the newest stock one from tmousa and nothing happen

and after entering the code and unlocking the phone i have flashed about a 100 different roms..even had to reload the original tmob rom to send it back in to htc so they could fix the touchscreen. still unlocked
now im running Froyo 2.2 and love it.

I just tried installing an Android Nand ROM on a T-Mobile HD2 that I bought from a friend. It flashed OK but it won't read my sim card (I'm not on T-Mobile). Is there any special radio or ROM that you need for a T-Mobile phone?
Solved, I had my sim in backwards duh.
I took my TMUS Leo Hd2 which was crashing hourly and put a WP 7.5 ROM onto it. Works substantially better. My question is, is this now an unlocked device which can use cell service from a different carrier.

if device SIM locked, only way to unlock is unlock code in WM6.5....
when device SIM locked, no mater which ROM you install (Android, WM6.5 or WP7) always is SIM locked

When I flashed a sense from on my Inspire 4g, it unlocked my phone, now I am using it on T-Mobile. I know its not the same phone but certainly it is feasible to unlock via ROM.

I have got HTC HD2 T-Mobile, USA.
I have already installed ICS ROM 4.0.3 on it and it's running fine, but I am not sure if that means it's unlocked.
Do I need to do anything else in order to run this phone with any GSM network?
If your phone is locked to t-mobile (put another service provider's sim), then changing the OS will not unlock it. You need to get an unlock code from t-mobile, or buy one from one of the internet based unlockers (do your research).
