Any way to get back the original Nook keyboard after installing CM7?
Related
I want to register my nook with B&N but I already installed CM7. Do I have to go back to stock, register and then reinstall CM7? Any other shortcut? TIA.
I believe there isn't a way to do it once you've rooted and installed CM7.
How would I change the CM7 lockscreen back to the stock KF lockscreen? I like the background changing thing too. I understand its in framework-res.apk, can i just replace it, or will it jack everything up?
If so...does anyone have a stock framework-res.apk they can give me? Its a PITA to backup, restore, pull and restore to get it.

Click to collapse
I would like to do this as well.
Maybe you can extract the APK directly from the stock update.zip, which you can download using the Kindle Fire Utility.
Tried moving framework-res over and it crashed all to hell. Any other ideas?
You can extract it directly from "update-kindle-6.2.xxxx.bin"
i cant seem to get the lockscreen to come come on or work with CM7..
nevermind i figured it out..
When rooting my nook color, i accidently messed up and the touchpad went out. I succesfully downloaded cyanogenmod, but deleted something i shouldnt have while in clockwork. Any suggestions to get my touchpad working again?
Hi, just restored CM10 and upgraded to 0.91 (thanks again Koshu, I've donated).
When playing with stock for a few hours before, I was reminded how much I liked the default FlexT9 keyboard. Before I upgraded, I took a nandroid of the rooted stock ROM I had, and then tried to restore the com.nuance.flext9_oem.input package from it using Ti Backup. The restore executes, but it never indicates that it's now installed (no smiley face in Ti Backup next to package), and it doesn't appear in the list of inputs in Settings.
Any ideas?

I saved the apk with appmonster and installed it on 0.9.1 without issues, as a normal android app; later you can turn it into a system app with your preferred tool.

OK, so I could restore my stock backup, create an apk (nifty technique that) and then restore my CM10. Any chance you could just spare me your apk, and save a bit of frigging around?

I hope you can use it, as it comes from an Italian setup.

I have a NSTG with Tweaked Modded ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2651053&page=4.
How could I revert it back to stock, cause I have an issue with charging and I intend to send it back to B&N.
Thanks
I would use NookManager. One of the options is to restore to factor settings.
I am in the same boat. I pressed the two lower buttons while booting to restore the factory image, but that just made CWM the default boot. I have no idea what I did to cause that.
For me the problem with the new rom is that ADB Wireless does not work and there is no source available.
I edited build.prop for use in the US my booting with Nook Manager, using that wireless ADB and then mounting internal partition 6 to /media and using nano. (The on-screen keyboard kept blocking what I was trying to change when I used the text editor.)
