ultimate solution for battery charge n charging. - HD Mini General

Dear xda users I have found the ultimate solution for the
Big charge problem for HTC hd mini. So any one interested
To know contact me.

Dear XDA members as stated above i do have the solution but wat you have to do is follow the steps as i say.
Step 1 : Connect your original HTC charger to your HD Mini when in Windows mobile mode.
Step 2 : Open filemanager and go to the root folder and select the Haret.exe file and run.
Step 3 : Do not remove your charger, stay connected.
Step 4 : Wait for your Android transformation,as soon as the transformation finishes the work is done.
You dont have to do anything after that. Now you can remove your charger. As everybody is facing problems for
the charge they can easily notice the changes by following the above mentioned steps. Before you can never charge
your android to 100% but after the steps i've toldyou can see that you can charge your android to 100%. And the
backup will also increase.
So rep me if you like my post.

Thanks, but before I try it, may I have some comments from other people or devs?

it should work, but in reality this trick uses windows to enable charger.
now, we can enable it in android, so it's not necessary anymore

Will someone answer?

OK SO .. This is like my 3rd or 4th thread.... Apparently no one answers. Again i have read the noob thread on rom flashing and hdsplpslr or whatever the hell that is. Can someone please step by step tell me what to do to get rid of this horrid slowness and freezing of my htc hd2. Im seriously ready to call up TMO and tell them to take the phone back and go with sprint wait for the evo to come out. I really have no clue how to do this uhh Rom flashing even after reading that noob thread.. Anyone?
I have not flashed a winmo rom in a long time(been using an android phone till I got the hd2).
If you just want to fix the slowness and crashing turn off sense. That is what caused crashing on both of my HD2 phones and the replacement ones I received last week. If you want a nice looking gui install spb shell. It crashes on mine, but not on the other one. Good luck

Agreed with Kilrah. Look man, as you can see I just pretty much joined this and didnt even know what flashing was until I got my HD2. If you honestly read the n00b guides you cant go wrong. I dont see what you could be missing? It took me a couple days to line everything up and be confident in what I was doing but the main thing of importance is the HPSL part. After that its honestly just downloading, hooking up and letting the program do itself. So as kilrah said, if n00b guides, youtube videos, etc. arent cutting it for you, I would suggest taking it back.
Im guessing no one has answered due to the fact that: What more can be said that an in depth n00b guide hasnt ?????
Good luck.
I will repost what I posted in your other thread...
"Can you tell what ROM/Radio/Manila version you are currently on?
(Go to settings/about phone/software information)"
If you can't be bothered to answer me, I won't bother trying to help you.
I'll help as best I can: (the links in this thread assume that you are using the European version of the HD2 as you posted this thread in the Euro Version.)
Step 1: Download HSPL2_RUN.zip for the European Leo here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611433
Step 2: Turn on phone while holding the the volume down key, the phone should boot into an odd looking tri-color screen
Step 3: Plug phone into USB port on computer.
Step 4: Extract the HSPL2_RUN.zip file to a folder.
Step 5: Open the folder you extracted the file to and run HSPL2_RUN.exe.
Step 6: Follow the on screen instructions until finished, it should say something along the lines of "successfully done."
Step 7: If you are immediately going to download and change ROM leave the phone in bootloader and download compatible ROM of choice: from here (note this thread again assumes your using a European or Asian LEO because that is the section you posted this thread in.) http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=534
Step 8: If you need to (note: and only if you need to but you shouldn't) update your radio please go here and download it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787
Step 9: Open the folder (if it's a .zip extract it) of the ROM you downloaded and run CustomRUU.exe or whatever similarly named file is present.
Step 10: Follow the onscreen instructions.
Step 11: If administered correctly the phone should automatically restart and presto new ROM.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
I am not responsible for what happens to your phone. BY FOLLOWING THIS GUIDE YOU ADMIT THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS. I have to put this for all of those people who will mess it up by not following it, then blame me. Good luck and enjoy whatever ROM you decide to use.

P.S. If anybody has anything to add to this post please let me know and I will be happy to add it for the OP's sake.

The radio is a software that's installed on the phone which controls how the antenna operates. This means that you can get better signal/call quality/stability and this all links into battery life aswell.
Different radios will give you different results based on the location you are in.
You need to flash an appropriate radio (specified by the ROM you want to download) as some ROMs have settings which apply only to a specific radio (for example the 576MB RAM patch)
To get out of the tri colour screen just press the little red button just below the battery.
Remember to perform a task 29 before flashing to format your device.

Good catch on the task 29 and radio explanation. Also good call on the contacts. Save your contacts to SIM or back em up. On getting out of the tricolor bootloader, the red button or just pulling and reinserting the battery will work (although the button is easier lol.)
When it comes to radio, the ROM chef will USUALLY tell you what radio he/she is using...hint at the usually part. If the ROM thread doesn't say, ask the dev they'll usually tell ya.

[Q] Hand Holding for the best Android install for my HD2

THIS IS A THREAD FROM A NOOB FOR NOOBS!(I'm soooo sorry!)
I know I will be hated for asking this and reading all the threads, it appears most people here are light years ahead of me.
Anyway, I have been watching this site eagerly for Android for my HD2 over the last 6 months and it appears to me that this :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795914
appears to be by far the best option available right now.
So I have downloaded :
data512.7z
data.7z
MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.1_MDJ_S7.3HD.7z
I believe this has to go onto my SD Card, but everyones talk is too fast for me (I'm so sorry!)
Do I need to change anything else before I do this?
For example, is the ROM required to be changed, if so, how?
If not, do I just create a file callled "Android" on the root of my SD card and extract all the files from the three downloaded files into this "Android" folder?
I'm really sorry, Winmo6.5 is destroying me and my patience for an Android HD2 is far richer than my wallet, your help is appreciated a million times over.
hey ill help u if u need it. i kno how u feel to be lost in this jungle. i bought the hd2 in the beginning thinkin it was android, so when i found the forum for android port and was excited. tell me what u need
mods please move this thread to the general section!
step 1: read this: link
step 2: download and run this first . its called HSPL3.
step 3: second download and run Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14 from here
step 4: download and run this. its call VBNROM. it will replace your winmo rom.
step 5: download and run 7zip from here
step 6: extract MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.1_MDJ_S7.3HD.7z and data.7z to your desktop
step 7: move the data.img file from the data folder to the android folder in the MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.1_MDJ_S7.3HD folder.
step 8: press the start key on your phone and press wm5storage, then activate.
step 9: copy the android folder to your sdcard. it will take a looooong time.
step 10: press deactivate.
step 11: press the start button on your phone. then press EBL 2.0.
step 12: on the right side under the android logo, press autoboot and press the word \android
step 13: donate to m-deejay
step 14: donate to - Cotulla and the gang. someone please add their links, i can not find them.
the only reason i replied to this thread, it being a question that has been asked way to many times, was to shoot these guys some hard earned cash. be respectful.
also i recommend downloading the 1gd data for faster boot
first, a really big thank you!
(and I think there may be others that thank you for this "idiots guide")
Am I right in saying that the FROYO build 4.1 that I am attempting to go forward with is the most complete so far?
(I've been at work and will have to try this in the morning!)
What is the "1gb data for faster boot"?
I have downloaded :
data512.7z
data.7z
I guess I use one or the other (is that right?)
Is there another?
My HD2 has 512MB flash size!
Again, thank you for your help.
**edit**
does replacing my Winmo ROM render Winmo useless?

You can use either, the data512.7z will give you 512MB of ROM in which programs and system stuff are placed, the other will give you 1GB of data space.
You can choose either, regardless of which HD2 you have.
I would say don't bother with the data.zip files, I always let android creat it's own one. It takes more time but (it is my opinion) I think it is safer.
Also, on exceller, select autoboot on 3 seconds.
I am running the build you want and it is really good.
Oh yeah, to be on the safe side, format your sd card and don't worry, firt boot can take 15 minutes
I thought this would be helpful, but really it's overkill and as a result, again confusing.
SORRY
Your step 1 says to "read this" which is whole bunch of other steps. Do you want me to do those steps or read those steps? Which are also confusing.
like
Your step 2 says:: download and run this first . its called HSPL3.
and links to a page where someone is talking complete tech talk and doesn't tell me how to run it.
Unzip it ? Put it in another folder? What?
drag and drop from your pc to your device?
run it?
Same with all the ROMS and Android builds, nothing is clear.
Run this, install that.
Sure, HOW!
I unzip some of this stuff to put into a folder and there are duplicate files in them, so they are impossible to COMPLETELY unzip.
I'm sorry, I've been looking forward to these few hours I have in my day to do this and now I'm here, I'm still none them wiser.

Or you can do what I did in the start:
1. Copy everything from SD card to a safe location on your computer
2. format SD-card
3. Unzip you Android choise on your computer.
4. Move/copy the Android folder to your SD-Card
5. Find your file-explorer on your HD2 and start the files that are mentioned on the site (CLRCAD and HARET)
6. now it should boot up.
7. (maybe needed) I found that when i was using a old Original ROM-update for my HD2 none of the Android builds would start up.
If this is you... check HTC.com for the newest ROM-update and update your phone. think the ROM version should be 3.14 or something.
8. And If you love Android as the rest of us... you can install the auto-loader as mentioned earlier.
I think I'm just between you and the other guys. so I hope this is helpful.
Oh, btw. that build you have downloaded is good. I have not yet had this good luck with the same build just 4.4 version. Waiting for a new release.
Best Regards
When you finally get it figured out you are going to be kicking yourself when you realize how easy it is to put android on your hd2 please post something saying WOW this is as easy as putting a new song or picture on my phone lol good luck I am confident you will have it down patt and be trying every build in the near future

step 3: second download and run Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14 from here ( after restarting your device, unplug and re plug the usb cable, select autosync on your phone. hit CustomRUU in the radio leo folder. wait a moment and it should do the job)
step 4: download and run this. its call VBNROM. it will replace your winmo rom. ( do the same thing like step 3, but with CustomRUU in VBNROM folder)
step 5: download and run 7zip from here
step 6: extract MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.1_MDJ_S7.3HD.7z and data.7z to your desktop
step 7: move the data.img file from the data folder to the android folder in the MDJ_FroYo_HD_v._4.1_MDJ_S7.3HD folder.

Agreed. v4.4 seems to have worse battery drain than v4.3.
I tried v4.4 with MDJ 8.0 kernel, battery life is better but LED doesn't work

2. Dev unlocking through WindowsBreak project
3. To deploy XAPs you need Winco's mini WP7 SDK and Winco's deployer wXapAssistant
4. Deploy these 2 apps immediately: Samsung tools (to prevent relock) and WP7 Root tools (file explorer, registry editor etc)
I also suggest you read this thread, it's a bit oudated but it contains all the needed tools today.

Thanks! This steps seem simple enough for me to follow.
I am in a dilemma, help me out guys. I bought a used phone for $90 and its in a pretty good condition overall except for the demo mode issue. I have the option of opting for a replacement, but I am not sure whether the replacement would be as good as this one.
The phone is scratch-less and cosmetically in pretty good shape. I also checked the diagnostic menu and there was no issue found to my noobie eyes. The usual burn in problem with demo units is also not present. I could not check the calling features as its in demo mode. Is there anything else I should look for?
So what should I do? Keep this and flash with a stock ROM (which I am sure inputs by you all will definitely get me through) or I should just go ahead and take a replacement?
EDIT: Any inputs guys???

So I have decided to keep this phone and flash it to a stock ROM.
I was going through the posts referred by you (very helpful) and can figure that the bootloader is working fine. Will start the flashing when I get home from work.
One of the points mentioned in the tutorial says that the battery should be 80% charged before starting with the flashing process - which makes sense. BUT, I am having some issues here. The demo mode seems to be a battery hog, so even if I have plugged the phone to the charger, the battery is getting charged really slow (probably the battery is bad as well). Its been a few hours since I have plugged it in and its still probably at 20% and the phone is getting pretty warm at the back and the front. Is this going to be a problem???

Flashing implies some risk, so having more battery definitely helps. By my experience, 40% is enough but I recommended 80% for the general case (to cover all possibilities). But considering your battery is slow charging, I would do 2 things to charge faster:
- set airplane mode
- turn screen off
So when you reach 40% you should be fine for flashing stock ROM. But I don't know all the particular details so you need to consider all. Normally, flashing a stock ROM takes about 10 mins, so it doesn't require a lot of battery.
And just to be clear, for demo phones I first recommend you return the phone, since these aren't normally sold to users. But that is your choice and again, I don't know all the particularities (for demo phones) or even if flashing a stock rom actually works, for that matter.

All the posts were really helpful. Now I can confirm that the demo version phones can be fixed by this method!
Registry Editor
Guys, I see a lot posts about editing the registry entries to tweak stuff. I need to change my default live ID and found a suggested way to change that through registry edit. BUT how do I do it? I am not having enough posts, so cant post in the dev threads.
My bad, the answer was right in this thread! I gotta windowbreak and then install WP7Roottools to edit the registry!

1. Stock roms. Custom ROMs: DFT+Magldr, mi7rom, CleanDFT
This is what you need to start with, good luck!

Kill every program you've opened. Skype messes up the connection. If you're able to sync in Zune, it should work. Also
- don't close Zune while you do that
- make sure you're synced fully in Zune, not in Guest mode

Tried doing it afresh as well, did a hard reset and then windowbreak - did not work. I did connect to Zune but did not do a complete sync, will do that tonight and check.
It works! Thanks again EnderPsp!
Glad it's sorted for you in the end!

That's good, you don't have KK2 and if Root Tools works, it's a problem with your PC, your phone is fine! Make sure you close all programs that may use https connection. I also recommend the reading here (pasting some relevant bits):
Steps for unlocking:
...
6. Open TCPView. (tcpview.exe inside of the downloaded archive) Click on the heading marked "Local Port" until the arrow next to it is pointing up.
7. Look on the Local Port column for any entries labeled "HTTPS". These programs MUST be closed for Chevron to work properly. Common culprits are Skype, and XAMPP. Use Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+Delete) to ensure they are closed if you run into issues.

[HOWTO] 4.4.4 - Fix Atrix Battery Percentage and Drain

As of now, when we charge the phone, it shows a max of 70+. Hardly does it move beyond.
However, when we run AtrixBatteryFix.apk, it shows >100%. I have seen it go beyond 200% as well when i run the fix from the apk again and again.
battd changes is to fix the percentage problem and hwcomposer.default.so is to get rid of HDMI infinite loop. Thanks @fehead for putting it altogether and creating a zip.
"JUST FLASH THIS ZIP" (Forget not to thank @fehead in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59671500&postcount=12)
After this, Run AtrixBatteryFix application and you should see the battery percentage coming properly.
When the battery fell <80%, i put it on charge and it reached 90%.
I hope this fix helps 4.4.4 users who have battery percentage issues.

Here is a way to fix this problem.
1. Extract batt_fix_444.zip
2. Replace "battd" under /system/bin. (Back up the old one in sdcard)
3. Change the permission similar to rest of the files under /system/bin
4. Replace "libbattd.so" under /system/lib. (Back up the old one in sdcard)
5. Change the permission similar to rest of the files under /system/lib

Running the fix the OP provided fixes the 70% cap that some users are experiencing and prevents the 100-200% showing when only using the batteryfix.apk before applying the OP's fix
As reported in the CM11 thread, adding the 1% line to the build.prop also assists in making this fix better. You can still run the batteryfix.apk if you want after applying fix
Will this work on CM10.1?? I've found some battery issues
Great jobs !! Work good~ battery 100% is come back !
I've installed it, after installing ir ive deleted the batterystats and battd resources under data/battd, now the battery shows real porcentage and lasts around 2hs+
Works on [ROM] CM 11 ( Android 4.4.4 ) for Atrix (BigPart) by Zn7mkUKzN1r8aCIV
This fixed the annoying battery percentage issue I was having. For me it was stuck at 85% but the voltage was correct and my phone was lasting an 1-2hours at 1%.
I will report back if it has a noticeable impact on battery life.
Thanks!
EDIT: Odd this morning its at 102% @ 4203v. I'm pretty sure my battery is worn enough that it shouldn't be able to reach that voltage. Backstory: after some usual usage involving an external battery my phone got stuck at 66%. Rebooting had no effect. I learned many moons ago that rebooting and shutting down isn't the same as pulling the battery. When I pulled the battery and reinserted it read 99% @ 4197v - success! So I plugged it into my slow charger over night to maintain that level.

No b/c 5.0 is not stable enough and we don't know if the mod for a dalvik/ART system will work on an ART only system. On top of that, this thread is for 4.4.4, not 5.0, 5.0.1, 5.0.2, or 5.1.

Hi, guys!
The HDMI mirroring works perfectly with audio?
What ROM are you using?

[TUT][ATIV SE] - How To Flash Windows Phone 8.0 GDR3 with Windows

With many thanks to @TaylorofCanada for acquiring and sharing this ROM, I would like to share with you a method to downgrade a Samsung ATIV SE to Windows Phone 8.0 GDR3. This method can be used to completely remove the Preview for Developers configuration from your device. This method wipes all of your data, and you cannot restore 8.1 backups on 8.0; if you are not experiencing significant issues with the current preview release, it may be ideal to wait patiently until another PFD update is pushed to this device. Another reason to flash 8.0 would be to take the OTA updates to 8.1 when they are released, in the event that the updates (or at least the firmware update) are not initially available to users with PFD installed (and you grow impatient). I have compiled a .zip file which contains everything that is necessary for downgrading your device. The .zip contains a README.txt file which contains detailed instructions on following the correct process; read it carefully and completely before attempting to follow.
If this method has brought you enough relief to feel like making a donation, I would suggest you donate to @TaylorofCanada. Without his release, this would not be possible, especially with such ease:
Code:
[URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/development/taylors-super-rom-tool-dump-sgh-t899m-t3037789"]Taylor's Super ROM and Tool Dump![/URL]
I have created a thread for discussion of development with this device, so if you have an ATIV SE and you're into this kind of stuff, take a gander over yonder:
Code:
[URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/development/research-reference-samsung-ativ-se-sm-t3044123"]Samsung ATIV SE (SM-W750V) - Research and Development Hub[/URL]
Please understand that following this tutorial may permanently brick your device or make it unusable in another way, even if you follow it correctly. It probably voids your warranty, as well. If this concerns you and/or you do not have a second device to use in the event of a mishap, I would suggest closing this page now. Following this process is of your own accord, and I will not be held responsible for any form of damage, losses, or anything else you may experience from proceeding. This phone has limited availability due to its Verizon-exclusive release, and as a result, there is minimal public research and development for it. I cannot guarantee that there will ever be a consumer-friendly way to de-brick your device in the future other than this, which can only do so much, so please proceed with caution:
Code:
[URL="https://mega.co.nz/#!mYhhSAZL!n4AEwN0eQfyLApr21nyGR4p9NcqIs4zo0_syN0TIk34"]ATIV SE - Flash to 8.0 Stock.zip[/URL]

Also, download mode on this phone is Vol Up + Home.
Yes the unsigned drivers are installed ok. i have two laptops one win 10 64 bit and the other i put a fresh copy of win 7 32 bit on just to compare. both act like they see the phone but do nothing when it gets plugged in.
On Both systems the phone shows up as Samsung Windows 8 Phone , under universal serial bus controllers

I don't think MBN Creator works with this phone, but let me know if you get it working. Here are some helpful guides:
MMS/Internet sharing (haven't tested, I'm on VZW): http://forums.windowscentral.com/samsung-ativ-se/339425-6.htm#post3309723
Upgrade to Windows 10 (this is partially incorrect; once at Windows 10 you can and should do a Hard Reset): http://forums.windowscentral.com/sa...rading-samsung-ativ-se-windows-10-mobile.html

Any chance of being able to flush the ativ se with the ativ s ROM? I am in UK, want to buy the ativ se from USA but if its not working correctly or something it would be nice to know that I could use the ativ s rom UK and be done with it.
I already own the ativ s its been 3 years now, but its time to let it rest, plus I cracked the screen.
Thanks in advance people and thanks for the hard work on setting ROMs and everything.
Also a quick one. Is Samsung backing away from the ativ phones? I love windows phones but Microsoft etc are not quite the same as my trustworthy ativ s. Screen is not gorilla so it feels cheap etc.

No, it won't run a rom for a different device. Why do you need it to run an Ativ S rom? If the problem is setting it up for a different carrier, you can adjust that through the registry, as long as the phone's hardware supports your carrier.

Is not only the carrier i am worried. So since my Ativ S works perfectly fine (to what i need it to do) i thought if something goes wrong with the SE i could use the S ROM and be fine.
Oh well. i guess we will see???
I am using Ativ SE in India (got it from US) and it works flawlessly.. I am sure it would work on any GSM without any issues.. Worst case you may have some challenges in setting up APN but for that you don't need to port Ativ S ROM.. There are multiple tweaks which will take care of such issues
