It's a txt because you downloaded it from your phone and the browser does that sometimes, you have the change the extension to .apk with a file manager...

Has anyone sucessfully ported the Desire Z stock rom or any Sense 2.0 roms to the Shift? I have searched, but I don't see any.. don't know if I'm overlooking something.

You can actually download it thru ROM Manager.

Cam and vid rec are fixed snoop round the irc for a bit ya might find the kernel tht fixes it ill update the thread once i fix mms

Why haven't you made a public release on gingersense? It has less bugs than your desire z port.
Edit; Bc I have to say that I love gingersense its my daily ROM now and can't wait for future releases

I'm looking 4 this rom 4 the epic I seen on youtube. The dude that was giving the video had links 2 it on megaupload but out no longer up. I was able 2 PM the developer 2 see if he could send me the link but he can't find it rite now. Its Frankinstein v17c. Any 1 have a link or the actual zip file they could send me?

Last one he had was ebee13^2 which is unsupported. Why would you want an unsupported rom? Try bonsai midnight or cm7

Yeah those videos are months and months out of date. He switched to an EVO.
Midnight and Bonsai are good. I don't much care for Viper or Syndicate.
Is there a way I can get this very useful app because my phone is currently my music player.

Just for future reference to everyone who's wondering this same thing...if you want an app from a cm rom (or any ROM) all you have to do is download the rom, unzip it, and navigate to the /system/app folder and take whatever apps you want out of that folder. No guarantee the app will be compatible with your rom, but atleast you can say you tried.

Assuming a mod deleted it as the guy who posted it has been banned awhile ago...am bummed cause I saw it at lunch and was hoping to download it when I got home from work...maybe someone who downloaded it can repost it for some of us....

no offense to the guy or anything.. but him and the mods have been fighting for a longg time...
he keeps making accounts on xda, and the mods keep banning him. i can tell by his avatar. that little red devil thing.
he seems like he knows a lot about android and stuff.. so i don't know why the mods dislike him.
but yeah, i was gonna check it out this after noon on my computer.. but then i couldn't find it.. and all the other posts he made were gone too...
