I installed eclipse sense rom but the htc clock widget when using current location shows wrong time zone. Any fix for that?
Go to date and time and disable "use network-provided values" aka "Automatic" and set your own.
this doesn't change anything still the clock widget for current location gives wrong time zone
reset the widget?
or set your location manually .. from weather and date & time.

I have a problem with weather auto-update function on Miri 3.2 (1.66 ROM), I have only one city in weather tab set to update automatically every 1 hour, but it doesn't do it at all!
If I go to weather tab the weather update fine, but otherwise it doesn't do it.
I don't use "My location" function, I also enabled/disabled HTC location services but it doesn't change anything.
Any ideas on this, anyone experienced this ? Thanks
many of us have this mate, no fix that i know of yet. what you can do is add your city manually and select it under the home screen. why do you want it to update automatically anyway?
The weather on the home page with v1.5 you could add locations with a map search. I noticed that with v2.1 the map point location 'tool' is not there. I am trying to load certain locations to my weather and 2.1 version doesn't list any cities like version 1.5 did.
Is this a bug or a change? or am I missing something?
They expect you to know where you want to know the weather or else why would you want to know the weather? Confusing
Confusing, yes
Whether or not I know the weather is neither their business nor mine? I'd rather know whether the weather is more pleasant rather than not, in places i'd rather be....whether here or there.
author unknown. It's better that way.
sorry if I'm wasting time. Thanks to all of you who helped all of us who need "Eris and Android 2.1 for Dummies"!
All punning aside, I love the animations on screen. The rain drops had me nervous the first time they came up. The clouds passing by was neat. I think my favorite is the sunshine's aura.
There are TONS of complaints about the Eris weather widget. It's a flaky one for sure. We have three Eris's in my house and have yet to get all of them to work correctly, in spite of me spending lots of time on the phone with HTC. Mine actually works pretty well right now. My wife's would never display the correct city, but we could get close. After upgrading hers, it showed the correct city for the first time EVER...for a little while. The next day, it would only say "current location".
Sometimes your computer monitor makes a fantastic sounding board. As I sat here typing this, a thought popped into my head on the subject. Just grabbed the wife's phone (and some boob on the way by ) and went into settings>location and found that GPS was enabled, but network location was not. Turned on both and voila`...the correct city name popped up. Check your location settings. That's all I got for ya...I hope it works.

I have another issue with the HTC weather/clock widget. I've reloaded this new ROM 3 times already to see if there was an issue with installing other clock/weather programs but I have not been able to fix it.
On my home screen, the weather shows correctly (current location) and updates much quicker than the 1.5 ROM did.
When I tap the clock, by default it goes to "Desk Clock" Where it shows the time, weather and across the bottom you can choose between the world clock, alarm, stopwatch and timer.
The problem I am having is that the weather in this screen is stuck on Akron, OH. While I don't have anything against Akron, I don't particularly care about the weather there (its 640 miles away). I've deleted the location in the weather widget settings but every time the "Desk Clock" loads, sure enough, Akron, OH weather is displayed.
Anyone else with this problem?

Have you tried deleting the stock widget and then adding the htc weather widget and setting a certain location where you live or current location? When you add the new widget it asks what city or current location you want it to default to. I got tired of seeing it set for 14 or current location instead of the city so I just set it to Baltimore as its the closest major city.
hope this helps

I'm not having any problems with the stock time/weather widget on the home screen. It's the desk clock app that also shows the time. If you tap the clock on the home screen it takes you to the different clock, alarm, stopwatch, timer apps and the desk clock app shows the time, date, and weather. It is here that the weather only displays Akron, OH. My home screen updates as expected and about 5x faster than the 1.5 ROM.
hi, I hope this is the right sub forum to post my issue.
The digital clock widget is set on my home screen. When changing the alarm time to a specific time the widget is correctly displaying the time when the alarm goes off. Although when I change the alarm time for a second time, the widget is not refreshing the time - not even after hours. If the widget is resized it refreshes.

Delete it and readd the widget, if there was an update that can tend to break certain features/functions.
Thank you, but it doesn't fix the issue.
It happens to me too, when I set off an alarm or enable one, it doesn't refresh the widget. I have to delete the widget and then take it back.
I have the same issue on Galaxy Nexus, stock ROM, android 4.2.2, rooted with Nexus Root Toolkit

I was having this issue and resolved it on my phone by going into:
Security -> Owner Info
and checking Don't show owner info
Does anyone else have the problem that after a restart the phone defaults back to 12hr clock (am/pm) instead of the 24hr clock I'd set the system to?

Yes, I have a new LG V20 with this problem. Not only is the time defaulting to the 12hr clock after a restart, but it is defaulting or shutting off the 24hr clock during normal operations! First I discovered that the 24hr clock would default to 12hr clock when re-entering the "Date & time" settings control. Then after LG recommended a factory reset, which didn't correct the issue, I noticed it just defaulting to 12hr clock all on it's own after a few days of up-time on 24hr clock...
Great phone... hoping there's a fix or a new device will solve the problem.
Didn't make sense to exchange the device for a new one because it wasn't likely hardware related, but went for a new one anyway...
Same issue, although what I did notice is that the pre-installed Accuweather widget on the home screen is defaulting from 24hrs to 12 hrs several seconds before the time in the Status Bar changes from 24hrs to 12hrs.
I wonder if the Weather widgets are responsible!?
I just had my Axon 7 and its weather widget looks good at first, but I am having an issue with it. It always set the default city is "location", even I add a new city and move it to the top of the list of cities. I can't find anywhere in the menu that it let me change the default city/location. So far, in the home screen I can't see any weather info, since I turn off GPS on this phone. And I have to open the widget and swipe once to see my city because it always on the second screen. Any idea? Thank you.
Oh, I am on 7.1.1 b25 stock.
I have a boost mobile ZTE Max XL with the same issue. Is it possible to: 1. Change the widget so "location" is not default and 2. Update the weather without turning on GPS ?
