Open Spot crash

Anyone else having problems with Open Spot? I wanted to try it out, but whenever I try to load it, it crashes. Sometimes it crashes as soon as the GPS icon flashes, sometimes I can see a map before it crashes, sometimes I can actually move the map, but they all end up with a crash. I think the longest I've had it open is about 10 seconds or so. Any ideas?
I think the motorola launcher is the problem, when I switched to launcher pro openspot works fine

I'm having the same problem, very frustrating. Does not work with ADW or LauncherPro.
And yet it still shows up in my battery use list taking up 3s of processor by 4-5 minutes of GPS
Mine will get far enough to even view the map, but then suddenly close. You'll notice comments in the market about it not working on Droid X as well. I can also confirm it does not load on ADW

google navigation on arc stops after 3 minutes

good morning,
got my arc last weekend, and have tested several options last days. google maps works perfect in my car, also Sygic Aura. gps keeps working. but when using google navigation it works for about 3 minutes max (almost not less), and then it says gps signal lost. leaving it on, does not change it, but restarting keeps it working again for 3 minutes. am i overseeing a setting???
and anybody noticing when in google market i.e. that when there is a lot of white the screen, it flickers a lot??

Patrick
ps further it looks a good phone compared to my htc touch hd with energy rom which i loved until now.

I haven't notice anything like that, would love to test it out tomorrow as I'm home now and there is no GPS connection here.
Regarding the flickering, do you mean very noticeable flickering or is barely noticeable?
as I can't see anything with my device, which means that you might need to factory reset or re-install the firmware using SEUS to test it out again..
but will report back tomorrow regarding the GPS
I've tested the navigation with Google and the GPS worked flawlessly for more than half an hour
So it could be your device which causing your problem or poor GPS coverage

Try another GPS app, I don't think GPS module can be faulty but its worth the try, also make sure you have more than 30% battery

Just increase the brightness above 50% to get rid of the flickering
I notice some flickering too when i'm in my room. Seems like the autobrightness working too much ?? Not sure tho.

Yes same problem with my arc. Was on a 2 hour journey yesterday, a few minutes of navigation GPS signal loss, closed navigation opened backup then got a full signal instantly, a few minutes later the same thing happened, so I rebooted the phones, this fixed the problem until 30 or 40 minutes later the phone just rebooted it self, then the same problem with navigation signal loss. I switched the phone off for 2 minutes then booted back up & navigation worked until it rebooted it self again I have just done a firmware updated, hopefully this will fix the problem????

Random restarts are fixed with 2.3.3 as for now it is a known issue with 2.3.2 from Google, Nexus S had the same problem.
I have the same problem, google navigation keep on checking for navigation capability..
I change to Papago X5, and it works fine!

[Q] Gingerbread Reset update Issue

Hi!
After upating to Gingerbread my X10 starts rebooting every few minutes when I use it. Two friends of mine suffers from the exactly same issue!
Problems started: a few days after updating from 2.1 to 2.3.3
Mobile resets when: I use it (in Phonebook, Maps, Settings menu, main screen, ....)
I tried: format SD-card, new firmware install with SEUS (cleaned db before)
Nothing helped!
No difference if battery ist full or empty!
Has anyone else these problems? I think, that the new Gingerbread- firmwire is buggy!!
I have exactly the same problem,
I have tried repairing through seus numerous times (both after formating SD and full factory reset before install) I've also tried Custom ROM GB and using setcpu to restrict the processor and still I get random reboots.
So frustrating.
It seems to be problem on quite a few handsets.
What can be the reason? I tried isolating the problem, but the reset occurs without system!
Maybe the GPS? All three X10 I know crash constantly if trying to start Google Maps. Sometimes I can use Maps for about 1 minute and then... reset again!
I seem to get reboots using everything from Market to Vignette to Gallery,
It seems to reboot whenever for no particular reason.
Even the temperature doesn't seem to be the issue as it has rebooted with the temp as low as 37C.
I have absolutely no idea what is causing this.

Same (?) here!

TWO big problems

Hello I have two big problems with my phone:
When I use the phone sometimes it freezes, the screen timeout triggers and the phone screen turns off. I cant turn it on again, I must reboot. Sometimes the startup animation shows up, and the phone restarts by itself
The other problem is, sometimes android os is draining my battery like crazy (1 h of cpu.activity) even on flight mode.
Im using stock.firmware 2.3.3 dbt, the latest for germany.
Any solution or.firmware to solve my problems?

Try out any good rom, there are plenty. Make sure you get what you want at least.

Phone freeze sometimes

Hello, sometimes the phone needs 1 to 3 seconds to react when I scroll on the screen. For example, if I click on a widget and want to go to the app drawer then the phone freezes as if it crashed. This also happend sometimes when i surfing the internet with Firefox or when the keyboard is popped up (SwiftKey).
Am i alone with this failure?
The phone is unofficial unlocked but has the original recovery and no root. Latest asus Firmware.
What can i do? I also did an reset of the hole phone but nothing worked.
