I have a weird problem with my A500, the touch screen works perfectly but in Portrait View, specifically on rotating it to the right side - The screen area on the bottom where the home, exit and notifications area is just doesnt respond to the touch.
I guess this has something to do with the resolution or something.
Any fixes guys, any help on this will be deeply appreciated.
P.S - Amazing developer work by the XDA Team on the A500, Thank you guys!

Can you tell us what version you're running? Have you loaded a custom ROM, stock, etc?
I am running 3.2 Taboonay (latest) ROM. This has been a problem since the factory 3.0.
Also, this is a HUGE problem for me as, if some application doesnt open in Landscape and is only for the Portrait Orientation, then I cannot exit the Application as there are no hardware buttons to close the app so the last resort is to restart. I really need a fix for this, help me out. Thanks!
If you can't find any way to fix the issue, there's an app in the market called Button Savior that has soft buttons you can use.

Sounds like maybe a problem with the digitizer. Have you contacted acer about it?

@ TechPlease Thanks Button Savior works perfectly.
@DARKMAN I will do that, I thought it was a software problem.
Thanks a lot!
Hi guys,
I love my HD2. And the screen that it has. Now, the thing is, I tend to use 120 lcd density all the time, because I like to see as much as possible in the screen. Now I don't have fat fingers, so I can press the buttons easily, so that's not a problem.
The bad thing is using 120 lcd density is that it is not using the size of the screen well enough, i.e. settings menu, gmail and so on.
So the question is:
Would it be possible to port a tablet version of ICS on hd2?
Thank you guys for making our phones awesome and saving our money.

you can do it by installing (any?) go launcher, and modifying the screen settings, fixing it to landscape orientation
Hello there,
Today I went with a friend of mine and bought him a brand new LG G3, I played with the phone a bit, and I really liked the "double tap" feature where you can lock or wake the phone up without having to press the power button every time you wish to unlock the phone.
My question is, is it possible to implement this setting in the Note 4? (N910C)
and if it is developed or under development, can anyone suggest a kernel/mod/rom that has that feature...
Thanks guys.
it's just a simple question and I'm new here :/
can't anyone suggest something?
I would be appreciate it.
Nope and nope for both of your questions.

hi,
just a quick point. /and question ?
Why do i want to double tap to wake etc...? If i have some other good options?
i flip open my S view case, to wake my device (without touching my screen etc) To put my phone to sleep i can either also double tap screen (Screen off app on Play market) or slide my finger (along top right side)(GMD app.. need root) on screen.. same effect?
To me its just as cool !
(Just some other cool methods!)
Good luck

Well, yeah I know these options and about those apps, all of these apps have one thing, they can lock the screen and not wake it up.
Its not that I will need this feature in anyway.. was just asking if it's possible to implement it through the kernel or a rom, or if its a hardware sensor thing..
because I was wondering, how would a phone wake up from an "OFF" screen with tapping on it, if there wan't any sensor to detect it..
and I wanted to see how would that work on a phone that never had that feature before such as samsung.
Thanks for your answer.
PM: I don't have a samsung phone, my question was for educational purpose as I'm doing electrical engineering.
Yes, it's totally possible, and has been added to many custom ROMs for many different devices.
Actually, to be more accurate, it's added to the kernel. So basically just look at all the custom kernels that are available for you, and see if any have that feature. If not, you could always ask a kernel developer nicely, or offer to donate a little if they'd add it for you..
Hi guys, im interested in the t580 (tab a 10.1 inches), but I cannot stand pressing buttons to wake it up. Im aware of 3rd party pseudo solutions, but i prefer it to be rom/kernel based, so is there any support for that kind of function in hardware/smasung rom/xda rom ?
Thank you

I use a smart cover for this.
When I flip the cover it automatically turns on my tab
Thanks Richy, but does it actually mean the answer to my question is "no" ?
I am also very interested to know if this is possible
Any news to this?
