3 weeks ago I have bought an Acer Iconia Tab A500. It was with English language. Now I found out, that there is also Acer Iconia Tab A500 with Czech language. I have contacted customer care to provide a ROM with Czech language and they have told me, that it is not possible because of "business reasons". When I have asked them to explain me these "business reasons" they have told me, that they are unable to explain.
Do you have any contact or escalation path, that might help me? This reaction is really not acceptable for me. Do you have similar experience?

My first thought when I read the topic title was "What customer care???"
It's more related to the android market. Rumor has it 2nd and 3rd world countries would have a lower price for specific apps.

Hello everyone,
In regard to my thread about the cracks in the case of the X1, I think we should write Sony Ericsson an complaint e-mail.
Maybe someone who has English as his/her mother tongue can write a good e-mail about the cracks showing up at our phones and can point out to this forum. Then everyone who has the cracked case problem should send the same e-mail to Sony Ericsson customer services in order to draw their attention.
Does this sound like a plan?

I have written an dutch email to the dutch support line. And all they say is go to a repair point of sony and there is NO replacement....
The repair points have no repair parts... And now???

Im english so my native language is english. However im not that good at grammar lol.
If someone has written an email in dutch or whatever and translates it into English, I will happily do the best I can to put all the correct grammar in etc

Samsung is a Korean company, so I would assume it's Korean.
Don't bother Koush with that, he hasn't been focusing on getting the fascinate kernel to compile, you'll just be forcing him to hit the delete button one more time on his PM box.
Angel or myself will discuss this with hc, jt, noobnl, Lil, a few others and figure out how best to describe our problems to them.

yes... i've been dealing with a lot of korean companies, but all the e-mail responses are not made by any sort of technical engineers or have at least the knowledge of providing the proper answers.
These ppl just take the keywords out of the question and simply replies with the best matching response from their 'pre-made' messages...
so... not really helpful unless you really call them or go up to them...

You actually came off as pretty whiny.
While I can appreciate the thought that went into it, you have to realize that you will NEVER get anyone on the phone that is capable of telling you anything because they just do not know.
No one will tell them until hours before the release. Further, nothing you say will be handled after the phone call/chat in any way other than it is logged for security purposes. If you are lucky and they were screening complaint levels/call topics, you might end up being a check mark in a column. End of story.
Remember the phone support is nearly the bottom rung of the company ladder. They have only moderately higher knowledge of the product as the temps/interns. They are not disclosed sensitive information because they are low pay, high turnover disposable employees and the leak risk is asronomical. Low pay = low loyalty.

By comparison to half the people on these forums the OP was very nice and polite.
By normal standards, yes it was rather whiny though. Especially going to a department that wouldn't have any information to give out to begin with and probably can't even get the complaint to anyone who can use it anyways.

It only says that there is no release date known yet, the update could be released every day or take even weeks. They apologize and so on ...
still not see the point... they speak about 3.1 so far, not really 3.2///
Okay.. so according to Acer Philippines they are expecting the release of the Acer Ice Cream Sandwich update by the end of this week, to be exact they are expecting the release of the update by Friday.
I asked them about the Acer a500 update and here is what they said:
"with regards to the ICS update, we are expecting it to be available by Friday, we're waiting updates from Google also. thanks"
Sorry for the picture though, I also inquired about my tablet charger replacement along with my question to them bout the ICS update.
They have no clue what they are saying. Also I cannot find your post on Acer Phillipines wall...?

I'm as psyched as the everyone to see ics coming to our cherished a500...but... lets say it shoes up right now. will it be rootable right away? will it have anything beyond cosmetics that will make it worthy? is it going to outperform the tweaked out super tablet that has put my ipad pretty much out to pasture? yes..eventually it will but probably not right away. I think whether the a500 gets ice officially or through community efforts we can't forget that where it is right now is pretty darn good already.
couldnt agree more- The official update will just be full of bloat and poor coding. I'd rather have one I can use now and wait for Ics 4.2 when Google gets its act together. Doods are still working in c so getting rid of bugs takes time.
