Bateery Problem

Hi all,
Recently my universal (T-Mobile MDA Pro) get off when the battery is 40%. I tried to hard rest, but still it has the same problem. So i bought third party battery to replace the old one, and the probelm is still there.. it is off when the battery reach 40%...
Waht is the problem? anyone can help me?

buy NORMAL BATTERY NOT FROM CRAP LIKE FIRMS..BUY FROM Oficial DISTRIBUTORS .its battery problem not unis

but maybe one small chance near 10% that its hardware problem ... with VRM ( voltage regulation module ) ( in easy eng .. charge controler )

same problem here.. 40% and gsm crash... reboot.. don know what to do...

Universal Crashes A LOT ! Help :S

hello Everybody
returning Universal user, just bought one used from a store, then a just whent on trying a lot of different Wm6 roms but they all had the same problem on my Uni, they ALL crashed by either freezing or just "turn off itself".
then after some time using the rom it crashes hard that it cant be turned on then it crashes at the boot screen.
i would like to get the original Wm5 rom back but where to go for finding it?

There are more mobile providers which sold Uni, so there are more factory WM5 versions. Personally I'd recommend the TMobile one. I'm sorry, but at the moment im using my notebook, and i dont have the ROM here, but i'll upload it somewhere ASAP

i've been "forced" to use my Kaizer instead of my uni these last couple of days
but mine is from denmark, which was branded by Sonofon, but i would rather have some kind of "clean" unbranded version, by the way are there any difference between a branded and one that isn't ?

Found a Version of wm5 that is clean
so i think that i wont need the one from t-mobile, but we will se how it evolves
anyways how to support 4gb in wm5 ?

Welcome to the forum
I don´t think that the problem is caised by a 6 or 6.1 ROM, however try a wm5 and if not corrects try to read the Wiki
And don´t forget to vote!!

thx for the welcome, the wm5 rom didn't help it still just shuts down randomly.
wth is wrong with my device argh, i've tried the universal wiki but didn't find anything about my problem.

Could be a battery problem issue, test connected to wall charger and see if behaives the same, also remove your sd card and sim to test
Doing this we can try to identify the problem

thx for that i have two batteries one that is brand new that make it crash the other one is the original that wont charge more than 50%, but the problem isn't there when it is connectet with my cradle or my charger
the problem isn't there while using the old batteri...

There are some problems with your new battery, perhaps not the original
Here on Universal forum there is a member called duke nukem, he claims he sells the original ones, try to buy another battery

My wing is always saying "charging"... HELP!

Hey guys. Just recently my wing has had a problem. Whether it is plugged in and charging or not, it is always reading charging on the screen. Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this?

Ive done that about 100 times. Im not sure if its a hardware or a software problem.... Restarting, clearing, hard reset... nothing works.

Call the ol' T-Mobile, I guess.

A nice clear storage...complete reset has always fixed any problem I have ever had with my wing. Just go to Start/Setting/Clear Storage. and Follow the steps. Ta-Da! Brand new wing!

Problem with charging the battry of HTC touch and HTC P3350. PLS HELP

i have a problem with charging the battry of HTC touch and HTC P3350 the problem has arisen after preinstallation ot ROM. then when turning the charger onthe LED indicator starts to twinkle in orange and the battery is not charging at all. after a short researh i realized that the problem came from the temperature sensor of the battery - it indicates wrong temperature - 125 dregrees Centigrade. this problem occurs in both mobiles HTC touch and HTC P3350

Hi, as far as I understand the problem comes from the thermo-fuse.
I tried a new battery

I've had the same problem. Changing the battery didn't resolved anything. So I had to replace a chip marked TWL3027 - it's a power controller.

NeverGone \ RU thanks for the information. Was useful and helped to repair both HTC.
Repair occurs as follows:
1. update spl and ipl.
2. installed - powerdetect
3. installed - ather90 Hima DOC Partitioner
Now both phones loaded.

Hi Folks,
My Mighty Legendary HD2 has effectively died!!!
The keypad buttons have stopped working and I don't know it it's a problem on the main board or with the keypad flexiboard.
Anyone any thoughts ideas?

With battery out connect it to charger, insert battery(check pins to be OK) and it should start even without buttons...
If possible check battery to not be dead!

Hey thanks, I tried that and it does boot when power connected the problem is turning it on without charger and then in OS controlling UI. Thankfully two buttons still work (win & green keys) so in wp I remapped them to 'back' and 'power'. I tried a different screen assembly (different keypad and screen) and still had the same problems, so the fault must be in the main board?
Any ideas anyone would be greatly appreciated??

It seems like that, but it's quite odd: you should try, if possible, with another mainboard and see what happens...
It could be a ROM related issue, maybe?

I dont think its a ROM issue because its the same in both WP and Android - was thinking maybe it was an SPL related issue but flashed the 2.08 spl and had same problem so reflashed 2.08 hspl. Anyway I think there must be some damage I can't see done to the main board (since I examined it with magnifying glass etc...)
