I am running on nightly 87 build. For some reason, I cannot get the widget to work. I am trying to put the Beautiful Widgets on the main screen by longpress into the main screen, but there is not widget option to pick. The icon simply pasted on the main screen.
Thanks
The only thing I can think of is a bad flash/download. Just try redownloading it and wipe/reflash.

What launcher are you using.

I have a problem where I am unable to add any widgets. I can access Add Widget, but when I select anyone it just stays on the add widget screen and then eventually returns to the home screen. I have rebooted the phone and no change.
Any ideas?
Is the phone running the stock rom?
I should have mentioned that I am running the latest LeeDroid ROM.

Ok, nevermind. I found it. Rosie had been removed for some reason, I think I may have accidentally removed it using Titanium. My mistake. Thanks!!
Running cyanogen 6.1.1... Accidentally dragged an icon over the awd dock and replaced the drawer toggle. I've had to set a swipe gesture to get to the drawer. Does anyone know how to get that icon back? I've looked everywhere... I've tried resetting the dock, but the dock icons don't reset.

create a custom shortcut
>>launcher actions
>>open/close app drawer
and drag/drop
should do the trick
Ah,that worked. I tried doing a launcher before, but not a custom launcher. Thanks.

I did the same mistake. lol...
Always used to having the Delete bar at the bottom.
Well, it was even worse cause CM6.1 doesn't support Nordic Desire Z keyboard + softkeys, so I had no way to get to preferences and set up a swipe either. xD
I wish I'd seen this before I reset my settings to stock, just to get that launcher button back...
Happened two times to me; old habit of having the trash bin at the bottom.
Hey guys I wanted to make this post in the forum for his rom but I'm so new it won't let me so I thought I'd do it here. I have just today rooted my HTC Hero GSM phone and installed the new v3.1 rom from elelinux. Everything works fine but I'm just missing 2 widgets.
When I was running v2.1-update1 i had it so that one of the home screens had a full screen bookmark widget and another one had a full screen (well I mean so big you couldn't actually place another shortcut or anything on that screen) widget for my text messages. I know that the rom has both txt message app and a bookmarks section in the browser but before I could put both of these on the home screens and when I go to widgets from the home screen those two are missing from the list.
Can anyone help me out how to find it if I am missing it, or can you point me in the right direction?
I think those are sense widgets you refer to. Won't get these on aosp but there are similar alternatives on the market
I have the same issue... and I don't think it's related to Sense apps. I have tried to download, for example, "Laik Agenda widget", that works perfectly in other non-sense android phones, does not appear in the list.
I have also tried with 4 or 5 different calendar widgets, and no luck.

I had a same problem. Are you using elelinux ROM like OP?If you do, then go to settings>applications>manage apps>choose widget that you want and tap on it> then tap move to phone and thats it.That was the problem when I couldnt see some widgets, downloaded from market, in the list.
I recently noticed that the widget I was using on my homescreen wasn't responding Digital Clock Widget and would no longer take me directly to the alarm when pressed. I checked and it was still set up for that in the settings so I tried to remove the widget and put a new one up but to no avail. I tried restoring it with Titanium but no joy as well as uninstalling and starting from scratch. But when I installed it again, this time I couldn't see the app's widgets in the app drawer.
I've tried another clock app and can't see the widget for that either. I had a go at long pressing a blank area on the homescreen but the only option it gave was to change the wallpaper. I had a play with that and changed the wallpaper I'd set up from one of my photo's but when I went to put that back on, that doesn't work either. I'm stumped!
ROM - NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.7 [Nand]
Kernel - tytung_HWA_r3.4
Launcher - stock Trebuchet
Thanks for any pointers guys - sorry if this has a rather obvious answer but I've tried everything I could and am very new and rather tentative when it comes to the whole modding thing!
Is the stock launcher still not custimazable in the new 4.4 OTA? If it is, then how can I remove home screens?

Home screen pages remove themselves when they have no more icons.
To create a new home screen page, press-hold then drag an icon on your first home screen to the right edge of the device. The launcher will create a new page and place the icon there. To create another page, press-hold then drag another icon to the right edge. Keep holding it there while it waits momentarily on the first new page you created, and then a second new page will appear.
To rearrange pages, press-hold the background. An overview appears, and you can drag pages left and right into whatever order you want.
To delete a page, press-hold and drag all icons to another page, either to the left or right edge of the device. After you've moved the last icon, the launcher deletes the page.

They do not remove themselves with no icons. I have removed all icons from my last 2 screens but they still remain. Also when I long press the background I get only the option to change wallpaper.
Are you sure these features are on the N4, I thought these functions were only on the N5??
My Nexus 4 is running the PSX v2 ROM, based on AOSP KRT16S. It includes Launcher3.apk, which behaves as I previously described.

Sorry, I should have said Stock rom also.
I just had a look at Launcher and its version 4.4-920375. It does not say if that is Launcher3 though, just Launcher.
Indeed, I just realized that in your original post, you did mention stock. I'm checking the launcher on my Nexus 7 running the stock image, and it is not customizable in the way that the AOSP launcher is.
