I wanted to make the music and news/weather widgets transparent for my own home screen. After figuring it out I thought I'd share them with anybody else who might want the same. Sorry if this has already been posted before.
There's a screenshot here: draftmedia.net/transparent_widgets_screen.jpg
And the files are here: draftmedia.net/transparent_widgets.zip
(I can't post links so you'll have to copy/paste)
You'll need adb installed to push them to your /system/app/ folder.

and copy them over the files in your theme folder.

This works great... How do I custom add my quick launch, the button in the middle that looks like Pointe...
thank
actually there's no need to download the attachment. just go to the default theme folder, and delete away the search images.
So 2 days ago I realized that I couldn't use live wallpaper because I discovered that my livewallpaper.apk was missing. I found the file but it ways cannot install when I try to install it. Is there a way to fix this?

you will need to place the live wallpaper .apk into /system/app/ and restart. either use root explorer on market or adb push from computer. if you dont know how to use adb, google it.
I did that, but the live wallpaper doesn't show up when I want to change my wallpaper.

did you make sure to remount the system read-write? if not, the apk didnt actually get placed. make sure you pull the live wallpaper apk from the version you are using.
yea, I have it on system rw. Maybe it's the apk file?
Can you send me yours?
As shocking as it may seem I want some blur on my phone! Im currently running gummy 2.5 but after using blur for a couple of months i miss the messaging, email, alarm, camera, sticky note widget and most importantly the icons! is there anyway for me to get any of this back? I tried installing the apks but to no avail. I think I could do with just the icons. Any advice? Thanks!
They won't install like normal apks to the best of my knowledge. You seem to have all of the APKs though from blur so try one of these methods, not 100% sure it will work but it likely should. (Edit: I'm not entirely sure what you are talking about with the icons, but this should help you get the APKs you want back)
REMEMBER TO BACKUP EVERYTHING BEFORE DOING EITHER OF THESE!
1) Download the empty InstallAPKs.zip from this post.
2) Open the archive in 7z or winrar
3) Navigate to system/app and put all the APKs you wan't to install into the zip (just drag them into the archive and let it add/update them. I'd have stuck them in the zip for you but I don't have any blur apks with me)
4) Reboot recovery and install the zip
or
1) You could manually go into the system folder and replace the apks using root explorer. Remember to set permissions to 644 for each file you replace if doing this.
Hey guys,
Can someone tell me where the default wallpaper directory/location is on the Galaxy tab 10.1?
Thank you,
They seem to be located in a directory that requires root access to enter. I haven't been able to find them.
They can be found in Launcher2.apk which is in /system/app.
what do you mean it's in Launcher2.apk? for some reason i had flikie and zedge, and the pictures were there, but then i deleted them. for some reason it's not clearning when i want to select the wallpaper.
update: when i clicked on launcher2.apk..nothing happens...
I posted this in another thread but heres a link to all of the wallpapers. http://www.filesonic.com/file/1311405814/drawable-xlarge-nodpi.zip
A brand new and colored Cyanogenmod... with a lot of Rabbids. Try it and you'll love it
Instructions: download the file and put in sdcard/openrecovery/updates. Reboot in openrecovery and apply update, and when finish zipalign on entire system (this is really important!).
Note: the only way to uninstall it is to reflash Cyanogenmod update file or restore a Nandroid Backup. No need for ThemeChooser and ThemeManager, you can delete them from system/app if you want.
Removed raw-el (greek?) dictionary from LatinIME to free space needed for extra graphic files, and also default wallpaper (use your own)
I also have GoLauncherEx RabbidsMod APK, if someone wants it please ask.
Screenshots are in the attached file (1MB)
Download from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?qn5t1s0hc45otl7
There are some wallpapers attached, only for Portrait and without scrolling, I use them with GoLauncher
And post your comments
EDIT: No need to update to support RC0a since APKs are identical (have the same CRC).
nice sharing
Nice . Love it.
Thanks for sharing
