[Q] Bad block when flash using fastboot - Xperia Arc General

I've just flashed the 2.3.3 O2 system.img via fastboot and it said "1 bad blocks encountered". My phone starts normally but I wonder if it have any bad effect. Can I do anything?

same message when I flashed. The phone worked fine, except for bluetooth that refuses to be activated. It tries and tries but goes back to disabled.

Guys you may want to try to flash first the corresponding ftf file using flashtool then fastboot the prerooted image. All the ftf files are on the other thread in dev section also. So If you want the o2 rom, flashtool the o2 ftf file then fastboot the o2 image file. Try and see if this solves the bad block.

Stuck on Android logo

I was downgrading from 2.3.5 cyan7.1 to stock 2.1
using dudeman's method
This is just stock 2.1 that you flash using the KDZ updater, if you're here to revert back to 2.1 from another ROM, then you've already used the KDZ updater to install fastboot. To install back to 2.1 you simply put the phone in download mode by holding the Volume down button and powering on the phone. The screen will turn on and display Download Mode, then you change PhoneMode in the KDZ Updater to CS_EMERGENCY, select the downloaded KDZ and start the update! Simple right?
And it said it was done. But when i checked
my phone was stuck in the android logo and
nothing works. (fastboot, recovery and hard reset)
I can't get a warranty because i rooted my phone.
But my phone is still 2.1 stock.
So anyone got any solutions.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
P.S. Only download mode works!!
Try this -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13205397&postcount=26
You have to flash a fastboot ROM again in KDZ. Also, if your phone gets stuck at android screen, go into fastboot and do fastboot -w at a prompt.
Thank you will try it soon.
And what does fastboot-w command do??

It will delete all userdata
Also another weird thing is i am optus.
And i downloaded the australian version of KDW file
and when my phone starts up it says Vodafone.
Does any have clear instructions on what i can do??
THANKS!!!!
You have flash Vodafone Austrailia's branded software. If you flashed the fastboot ROM, you can replace the software with Gingerbread and Froyo ROMs. Which are full unbranded.
i am sure i downloaded the Non vodafone version.
Also today i flashedto 2.3.5 using fastboot.
So all is well.
THanks to everyone!!
BUT i still have to flash to 2.1 stock.
Would anyone be kind enough give the full instructions
on how to revert to 2.1 stock?
That would be very kind.
THANKS TO EVERYONE. (I AM A NOOB!!!)
Anyone????
So, first flash by KDZ Updater to 2.1 with fastboot and next in the same program install official firmware from lg .

Fastboot?
Do you have fastboot or a Clockwork Recoverymod? You could use fastboot or recovery to flash ROMs. To enter fastboot, hold the camera button while you turn you phone on. If you get a black screen, then you have fastboot. You need drivers for fastboot to work, so be careful. You'll also need the fastboot files. You can just flash a ROM by entering "fastboot flash <partition> <ROM name>" (replace the names in the brackets with the expected titles).

You need an unlock code and stock 2.1 ROM. Use this guide to enter unlock code: http://android.modaco.com/topic/310735-entering-your-sim-unlock-code/
BTW: ONLY BUY UNLOCK CODES FROM TRUSTED SOURCES.
Do you know where i can buy an unlock code???

[Q] trying to go back to original rom, but can't find any working method.

I'm looking for a way to get my phone back to a stock state, I don't care if it's unrooted in the process, I just want a fresh OTA capable stock rom. I have a couple PD15 images, and they flash in the boot loader, however, after trying to boot, it just stays stuck at the mytouch startup screen.
I'm looking at the tutorials found here, but none seem to be working. What exactly do I need to do?
Well do u still have a custom recovery or s-off
I have the completly stock rooted ROM 2.3.4 no ota after that

I'm using the PD15 images from here: https://www.4shared.com/folder/xDsyJF52/_online.html
I used the HTCDev unlock method. I have S-On
My issue is, is i want the official HTC kernel that comes with the latest stock rom. I cant find it to flash anywhere. So I'm trying to just go back to the regular rom, probably selling this phone soon anyway.
Son=T-Mobile
soff= the world
You can sell it for more with soff and rooted anyways the ROM I have has the stock kernel its completely stock just rooted

are yuo trying to flash a gingerbread stock or a froyo stock rom? which PD15IMG.zip files are you using? did you download the stock rom yourself and then rename it to PD15IMG.zip? are you sure your using the correct radio version .img as well? if all that is correct and youre still having trouble then you could try flashing the stock rom via fastboot mode
rename the rom to StockRom.zip (spelled exactly) then connect your phone in fastboot mode, then in the terminal enter fastboot oem rebootRUU it should then reboot into a black screen with a silver htc logo on it
make sure your StockRom.zip is in the same directory as your fastboot executable and run fastboot flash zip StockRom.zip
if it doesnt finish flashing or tells you to repeat the flash just re enter the command and it will work. then fastboot reboot.

I was doing all of the above, except checking the radio version and the fastboot oem rebootRUU! That could be it, thanks for that. I'll check it out and report back when I get some time.

I'm interested in your kernel that you are using actually, shoot me a PM or something if you feel like providing me links to download
So i tried the rebootRUU method, and still nothing (it says it works fine but will just hang at the white mytouch screen). I'm on HBOOT 0.89.0007 and RADIO 26.13.04.19_M
I'm trying to flash both the 2.3.4 before and the latest updated 2.3.4 stock rom.
Wish i could figure this out! Any ideas?
try to flash the stock froyo rom first.
http://d-h.st/ytv59wps2wzc heres a link to the PD15IMG.zip make sure the spelling is exactly like that all upper case except for the file extention .zip. and make sure its on the root of your sd card when you reboot into bootloader. the file shoild be about 312megs in size.
Tried, still stuck at the splash screen. I used HTCDev unlock originally with this phone, does that mean I also have to manually flash the boot.img from these zip's as well?
I'm obviously missing some step.

yes, i try everything
Have you tried flashing the factory image? That usually sorts out everything. After flashing it, phone probably won't boot. If that happens, do a factory reset from stock recovery or flash twrp and factory reset from there.
Hopefully that's all you'll have to do.

No he has an unlocked bootloader and if he flashes the update app the bootloader Will be locked,
So he has to extract system.img from the update app and flash it via fastboot

Not necessarily. I mistakenly wiped my os, i simply downloaded the firmware, extracted the update.zip file and pushed it via adb to my device. Flashed with TWRP. Bootloader was still unlocked when the process completed.
Your wifi icon seems to have an exclamation mark.. hmm
Is this your home wifi or work wifi?

OEM Locked, and Device is corrupted. Unfixable?

So long story short I recently decided to install stock kernel on my Nexus 6P. I flashed boot.img from oreo firmware using twrp. Accidentally I flashed it into system instead of boot. Now system is corrupted stuck on google logo. But USB debuging is enabled. so I tried to activate OEM using fastboot but it says unknown command. Later on I try to format, wipe all partitions, repair file system using twrp still no success.
Did I break my phone completely?

No, I don't think you completely broke your phone. I would try reflashing using fastboot. Or you could try an OTA update to return it to stock.
No. You just need to reflash stock system.img using stock flashing application for your fone and nothing else. Just do this in edl mode.
To get there, turn fone off completely while unplugged from pc. start your stock flashing application, and load your stock rom, once it verify's, you should be able to select system.img ONLY, dont flash any other img you see for now.
Hit start in this application, then plug fone into usb, watch what happens
Write back ?
Edit The No is to the OP, not to disagree with above post
