my bad - A7 General

I upgraded from dex 1.41 to A7Comb and now my sd card and usb drive are not recognized. Perhaps if I had applied dex 1.42 I wouldn't have this problem now. Question: Is it possible to downgrade to dex 1.41 without the sd card being recognized?
ooorah
ps. A7Comb is a huge step up for the A7

yes, i downgrade from dexmod 1.41 to 1.40 for no recognized sdcard/usb.

micro-sd not working after flashing Dutty WM6.5

hi, need help. I cannot find my 8GB micro-SD card after installing both versions of Dutty WM6.5: RUU_Duttys_HD_WM6.5_Leo_Holy_Grail_R0 and Duttys_HD_Sense_2.5_5.2.21893.5.0.90_1.59_HG_R2_WWE
any idea how to get the micro SD back into the system?
Hi,
I believe I had that once also a while back, but I can't really remember clearly what I did to fix it.
I believe flashing + hard reset without sd (+ simcard) in SD/SIMslot helped.
When setup is completed insert SD
Good luck!
I had that problem, seems like an read write error on SD card.
What I did:
*I used a usb adapter to plug the sd into my main cpu.
*Copy all the files to mi pc.
*Check sectors and Format de sd card
*copy back the files to the sd.
Its working fine now. Hope it helps
That happened to my 16 GB a while back and it was totally corrupted. It can't even be read using a card reader on my computer. Big bummer. And I seem to recall that happened to quite a few people back when cooks first started using 1.56 ROMs for some reason. I haven't heard of it happening since though.
how resolve
download sdfv2000.exe panasonic format your microsd and go! that's all folk

htc evo usb and sd card issues (unrooted).

I have two issues,
1. My evo doesn't recognize my sd card or any sd card that I insert in it. I've hard reset the phone and even reformatted the sd card on my macbook pro (fat32). I inserted the sd card with no files on it and when I took it out of the phone and mount it on my mac via the card reader I saw some Unix Executable Files that the phone put one the card, this is what the files name look like (qxdm_20101214_011430_1.dm).
2. when I connect the phone to my mac or pc, the computer doesn't recognize it so I can mount it as disk drive. usb debugging it on and there's no option for disk drive under default connection type. I've try new usb cable with no luck. I try doing the usb fix on this forum but with the two issues I'm having I can't do the adb for the sd card and the usb fix. any suggestions and help will be greatly appreciated. I want to root my phone
HTC EVO 4G 2.2
baseband 2.15.00.09.01
kernel 2.6.32.15
build 3.29.651.5
hboot 0.97.0000
anyone? i really need help
Were you able to solve this?
I've been having the same issue, I had root with SHIP-OFF, but somehow lost it, things got corrupted somewhere and I still haven't gotten things working right yet.
I used this fix to re-enable the SD card:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243
Which then allowed me to load the stock rom from bootloader. I'm yet to find a USB fix though. Can't charge without powering off. Can't figure out how to root the phone without USB. Let me know if you found a solution. Thanks

USB memory Stick

Does Elocity A7 support NTFS file system? I have problems accessing my USB stick which is formatted in NTFS...or something else may be an issue !?!. In any event it can not read it...any suggestion?
Regards
Upgraded firmware and now when USB memory stick is plugged in I am getting a message the it is being checked for errors....but data on it so far cannot be accessed...Anybody else has issues with reading memory stick thru USB port?...SD card works like charm...
Regards
When I first got mine I was using my key which is fat32 and ran into the same problem. I had to reset the device before I could use my usb stick again. Haven't tried an NTFS usb device but either way it's not on the a7 to support NTFS, it is Android's task.
It would be interesting to know if other people had problems of accessing USB memory stick...for me memory stick would be much easier mean of exchange software/data between PC and Elocity than microSD.
Regards
I found out that if memory stick is formated as FAT32 then Elocity has no problem reading it...
USB memory stick
I have no problem accessing my USB stick, my problem is transfering the data like music or movies into folders which Elocity a7 doesn't allow me to do.
I have tried coping and or moving files i.e., songs, movies, am I doing something wrong or is there a right way to do it?
You can copy files from USB to SD card...only file by file not directories
The other way is to pull out your SD card and copy files on it using adapter on your PC
The third way is to use application which lets you access your Elocity using your browser on your network which will then allow you to copy files to/from device
Regards
My a7 originally could mount and read the sd card and the usb drive. Then one day it suddenly would not mount the sd card and it always said it was checking for errors. I tried a wipe and restore, formatting the card, and a different card. None of it worked. Finally I loaded Dexter's 1.41 mod. The mod worked great but the sd card still couldn't be mounted. And then the usb drive gave me errors and one time would work and another time it says preparing storage checking for errors. Right now neither the sd card or the usb are being mounted. After 4 emails to elocity support I am pretty frustrated with this unit and thinking of just ordering an ipad.

Do you apply the vold patch with 1.41? Also you have to have a folder/directory sdcard/sdcard-disk (sdcard-disk) is the one needed. This still won't allow card to be read from boot other then applying zips with sysrecovery. It has been mentioned before in another thread if your not running elocitys FW you can't really complain about it to them.
If that folder/directory isn't created it won't read with the patch. USB also has something about it. Read up on this thread.

Hello, I'm new here and I did experience some sort of USB or MicroSD issue where the eLocity unit did read the USB at first and then the next time I put the USB flash drive it cannot read it, no matter what I do. Then I hit the reboot key at the back using a pin or something sharp and I tested both drives and it did read them.
I learn that before removing the USB FD you need to dismount by tapping the connection icon to safely remove the USB. You will then receive a message to confirm the removal of USB drive.
I hope this help.
Peace....

SD card/ USB problems

On A7 with working A7Comb can't mount either SD Card or USB device. Think Dex 1.42 might fix my problem, but update works off of SD card. I got Dex 1.42 into sdcard-disk0 by downloading from dropbox. Does anyone know a way to apply Dex 1.42 from there, or anywhere else ? Thanks,
ooorah
So its not just me then. I flashed A7-comb which is working. Then I tried to flash the patch to get the side buttons back and recovery can't connect to SD or USB stick.

EnergyRom flash and MicroSD not detected anymore

1. I was checking files on my 8GB card in file exproler
2. I removed my 8GB card
3. Install of HSPL 3.03
4. Formatting new 2GB card with FAT32, copying radio rom on it, shutdown and pressing power+volume_down...
5. Boot loader or how its called came up but flashing did not begin...I'm guessing because of filename...
6. I've turned the device on and flashed the rom using USB with CustomRRU.exe
7. After that I flashed with energy rom, USB with CustomRRU.exe
8. Everything was fiine with flashing...going trough settings...
9. I inserted my 8GB card back but file exproler or any other application can't see it.
If I connect the device without card I get 2 options:
- ActiveSync
- Modem
If I connect it with card I get all 3 options
- ActiceSync
- Modem
- Disk Drive
So...the device obviously knows that the card is inserted but it can't access it...
I don't know if the problem is hardware or software...
put it into a card reader then use Easeus free edition to remove the partitions and reformat the card as primary fat 32 job done
I have fixed the problem...
I tried another microsd and it worked...then I tried my microsd again and somehow it worked too...miracle I guess...I tried taking out and putting it back before...reseting the device...but now it suddenly works...
I was just going to try you formatting advice but I decided to try another microsd before...thanks anyway
That's got something to do with data stored on SD by the old OS.
If you change OS you should format your SD with a card reader or at least you should delete Applicaton Data and Program Files folders on SD.
