How do I enable the Default Windows Inbox?
It´s enabled when I disable HTC Sense.
I like it much better than the HTC-thingie (Custom folders etc..)
This solution worked perfectly for me:

Dear All,
Many of us may use some applications that create subfolders under the main Inbox folder of SMS. This works fine using the standard MS Messages application but as the new HTC interface is becoming the new standard (Sense) including the new HTC Messages application, it doesn't display except the main list of folders (Inbox, Sent items, Deleted, ..).
Is there any way like a hack or registry key to enable these folders ?
TIA

htc messaging......bah
You can't with the HTC messaging client. You have to go back to the original windows sms client to see sub folders. Been there, done that, although I have not tested the latest 1.66 rom to see if things have changed (doubt it).
If you search for Zeynee's cab on here somewhere AND read the thread it is linked to carefully you can change to winmobile sms and get your sub folders back.

I have installed Zeynee's cab on the 1.66 ROM and can confirm it still works.
Helllo!
I am wondering if there is a programm out there that ports my wm contacts, calllogs and messages to Android and, even more important, back to WM.
It is very annoying, having some messages on the Android system and some on wm. Since WM is my basic OS, I try to find a way, getting the messages i received while using Android back to WM..
Thanks for your help and kindest regards!
Hi, in order to avoid this problem I've done the following:
Transfert from WM to Android:
I used SpriteBackup and SpriteMigrate
You can find how to proceed on their website (SpriteMigrate is free).
Nb: I didn't transfer my agenda as it's synch with my PC (I used HTCSynch to retreive my meetings).
To avoid receiving calls and Sms in WM:
easy... put WM in "flight mode".
You will only be connected under Android.
This will only work if you choose to switch completely to Android.
Ideas but not tested for migration:
You can try also to synch all WM with outlook, then Outlook with Android if you have a sense version (use HTCSynch).
MyPhoneExplorer may also do the trick.
Can someone build ROM without HTC Messages ?.The reason for that is htc messages does nos support SMS Sync function With Exchange 2010 servers.I try HTC Support but they tell me that there is no way to syncronyze text messages with Exchange server.
I found a cab that disables the new functionality (htc messages)and revert back to Windows Mobile messaging application but the TEXT tab in manila is a mess and not realy working properly .With old (stock) application syncing works fine .
That particular problem is on every HTC device that is using HTC Messages and Windows Mobile 6.5.
Wow HTC - you suck this time !
Android is smooth as silk on my HD2 but....I keep going back to WM 6.5X
The data here is overwhelming. I would love to switch if I could do most of below. Any advice would be appreciated...

Outlook Tasks & Category sync MS exchange -MUST HAVE -
Outlook Notes Sync - NICE TO HAVE -
PIM app that also shows color categories (that have been synced through Exchange) -MUST HAVE - (Even better with a month view that allows certain icons to be seen ala Pocket Informant, based on category).
Pinch to zoom any program/app or home screen - MUST HAVE -
Word & Excel sync through USB cable -MUST HAVE -
Folder sync i.e. Mobile document folder ala WM 6.5 – I sync a lot of Word docs & they seamlessly appear on my phone, showing the most recently open/added file on PC or phone- through HTC Document Viewer. I use this a lot! -REALLY NICE TO HAVE -
Help me make the switch. Thanks to anyone who chimes in!
Hi
androids with "Sense" on sd is syncing great with htc sync version 3
all outlook that you requests
and with usb also,
but not sure about the colors
now using the phiremod SkinnyEvo Final Edition, thanks to great dev's
it syncs outlook easy and good,
bye
Thanks - But does it sync all that you mentioned thru MS Exchange?
I've found voice quality and gps are
better in wm65. Other than those, android is much better in other areas.

I know but it looks like I'm stuck with WM 6.5 :-(
Hopefully a WP7/WM 6.5 Dual Boot is in the works....I think WP7 will evetually be able to replace WM 6.5.
I have loads of Short Messages (SMS) on my HTC HD2 (Windows Mobile 6.5). Is there any way oy transfering them to a pc for storing them permanently?
The Windows Mobile Device Manager won´t do this.
Glad for any hint.
Thank You

Quite a few options.
there is a software that exports to outlook.
You could use the dotfreds pim backup
You could also use i-mobile sms backup which has a stand alone sms viewing app for pc.
thank-you.
in your opinion: which of the options is the easiest to use for a "cell-phone dummy" like me?
Probably the easiest & also best in viewing terms is i-mobile sms app.
Test it out ...
