Guys i recently flashed the Almost Acidic Lestatious 2.0 BUILD 1.9 ROM. Its pretty good. But when i use earphone for default video player. The audio is very low. But in real player its good. Does anyone else have the same problem. I had this problem with the original eclairs software.
The original video player is softer than most 3rd party video app , what you experience is not a glitch cause i too experience this
That's just google not upping their volume.

But the audio was good in Apocalypse and Indroid honeycomb 3.0. How is that.
Audio can be buggy for Froyo ROMs on SG3... None is based on official release. This differs for each asset.
Well k thanks....
Depends on the kernel as well.

Hello,
I realized that there is an Audio Lag in Froyo 2.2.
Does anyone know if it was fixed in Gingerbread 2.3?
Android does not have support for low-latency audio, even with Gingerbread 2.3.

I installed Elelinux on my Hero and I like the ROM, but I updated the kernal to LVx and it fixes some things like the off animation, but it is SLOW.
What's the best kernal to balance out funcuality and speed in your opinions?
BTW, I do not want to OC.
Thanks
for me flykernel13 works best on every ele's ROM I tried
I installed FlyKernel13 last night and it does indeed seem to fly
Wich version of Elelinux? The Reloaded 2.1 one uses Fly13 the best. Speedmachine, well LVX runs nice on that. It is smoother but less battery. And with the 2.3.5 version (GB) The same as speed machine. But on 2.1 roms use Fly13.
I use flykernel on speedmachine v5 .
It's as smooth as LVX (actually feels even smoother) with exceptional battery life.
I have the GB version with FlyKernel13 at the moment, seems to be running well
Last version of Elelinux (3.3) works very well with Flykernel13
I Think The HTC One V. Would Be The Best Dump To Be Ported.

UPDATE:: SENSE 4.0 is HERE Thanks to The AMAZING VIRTUOUSROM TEAM
HERE IS THE LINK
DONT FORGET TO THANK
SENSE 4.0 ALPHA
I'm all but certain that no one is working on a port of that yet. In fact, I doubt the MT4G will ever see a Sense 4.0 ROM.
If the dhd gets this I will port it. Assuming I still have glacier when it does.

Currently it's Sense 3.6, Sensation development leaked build. While it's pretty, it's still not polished on Sensation itself. It's compiled with huge amount of logs, and doesn't seem to scale the CPU frequency well. Once it goes official on Sensation - I'm quite sure it'll be ported to DHD and from there it'll easily find its way to MT4G.

thats what im talking about positivity. waiting
ICS for MT4G
I’ve read on other forums MT4G might not get ICS 4.0 due to the camera software isnt compatible with the Mytouch. Devs are constantly trying right now so time will only tell. There are AOSP releases available now although they don’t have the camera

We need to wait for Sense-based rom for ics phones with single-core processor, like HTC One V and then we maybe gets a normal stable rom.
I know patcha has an ics kernel for sense roms and it works on our phone

It's pretty hard.
We need a Sense ICS kernel to even get started. Team Inferno is trying to get in contact with some kernel devs
Hope we find someone...

The Virtuous Team kernel is Sense 3.6, not 4.0 ..maybe mdj can cook up a 4.0 kernel is he's feeling generous
We're proud to say that we are now officially working on it!

Check the dev section.
So I have an Evo which I don't use for anything. It has not number on it and I don't need it as a back up. I use it only for listening to music (speaker only) and taking and watching videos. Sometime I may connect it to wifi to download a certain app or to watch something on YouTube. So this thread could be called a survey I guess? But what's the best ROM out here for me to put on the phone in my case? I basically want battery life + performance + louder speaker (the Evo speaker sucks compared to my other phones sadly). I flashed the 4 kornerz (sorry if I misspelled) ROM and flashed the beats audio and the underworld kernel, but noticed a lag after flashing that kernel so I re-flashed the stock kernel.
I have not had time to actually use it and test out how it goes with my usage but I think it'll be alright?
I have also used Energy ROM (kills my batttery too quick) and CM7 (phone speaker isn't loud enough) so what other ROMs would you recommend for me? Or what mods or kernels would work with 4kornerz ROM that would ensure better battery life?

I'm doing the same thing with my Evolution - typing on it right now, actually.
I'm using deck's 1.3d, mason .15 kernel, beats audio addon with go launcher. Smooth as can be and I get tons of battery life in airplane mode.

That's exactly the kind of answer I'm looking for thanks =). I thought about trying an ICS build but wasn't too sure if I wanted to because I thought it might have some bugs or be laggy or have not so great battery life or sound quality decreased. But I'm going to test out 4 kornerz for a bit then will try your settings next. Thanks for the reply =).
Wait.. what's the ROM your using lol? When I first read it I thought you were talking about one of the ICS builds but I'm starting to have second thoughts. I'm not very familiar with every ROM out here because I barely use the Evo but can you post the link to the ROM? Or at least tell me what's the title of its thread lol? And also your kernel pleeeaseee.

Decks 1.3d is his famous Gingerbread build. Search for it and you can't miss it. The thread title has decks, and. 1.3d in it I believe. It is legendary for being the best AOSP Gingerbread ROM with the best battery life and stability. Coupled with that kernel the above user mentioned, it will give you tremendous battery life! Much better than ICS at this beta phase.

1.3d would probably be a later version of it, as a, b, c, and d. Probably just minor fixes through out that version.
No, I clarified it. 1.3d is just a beta, 1.3 is stable. 1.3 is newer.

1.3 is newer, but i've had the best results with the 'beta' d version. runs like a beeeeeeeeeeeeeast.
Well I did find it and I will try flashing it as soon as I can. Is the stock kernel that comes with it the one that was recommended to me? Or where can I find the other kernel?
And I'm just kinda starting to get confused. Some people are saying 1.3 and some are saying 1.3d. Which one is better..? Logically thinking I would say 1.3d would be better since it probably just contains little fixes and nothing major updated but those little fixes may be a big problem to me without them so I think ill try out 1.3d unless I am told not to.

if you were having issues with cm7 you may experience the same with Deck's as his is just a custom version of cm7, yet designed to operate on Sprint more effectively.
You say the speaker wasn't loud enough with cm7? Did you adjust the settings in DSP manager?
I have 3 EVO's, 2 operational and on is my 3 year old's "phone," he is an angry bird addict! I have the phone on constant airplane mode and simply turn on wifi when I would like to connect. We are constantly asking him to turn it down so no sound problems here.
I would recommend the cm 7.2 rc1 from the cyanogenmod website, and don't forget gapps.
Again Deck's is based on cm7 though he hasn't updated in a long time and there have been many many improvements to the cm source since he stopped building. Cm7 is also still a work in progress, they are not dropping support for it, though they may bring cm9 to the EVO eventually 7 is the current supported version.
Honestly, I think the advice above is sound, but I still recommended deck 1.3 with Mason v14 kernal without hwa. Or if you want more battery, flash the slightly less stable v15rc G version. G for nonhwa. And then I would clock down to about 850mhz as your Max (don't know the exact value but the performance settings in deck shouldn't be too hard for you to figure out) and then use the wheatley kernel if you're on v15rc or intellidemandx if you're on 14. Smartassv2 would be my recommended governor, but it doesn't play well with media when the screen is off so you take your choice.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA
Well sound was only a problem to me because I have an Epic 4G which, stock v.s stock, is louder. And I've tried CM7 on my epic and loved it but the sound was a problem the same as on the Evo. But I guess I would give up sound for better battery life lol. I'm going to flash deck's 1.3 right now. But I still can't seem to find the kernels you guys are talking about can someone please post the link to the thread?

So I just flashed the rom with the kernel.
I'm having one tiny problem.
I didn't install gapps (don't really need it) so I tried to bluetooth a file explorer.
I've noticed with bluetooth on the phone reboots? (It happened twice so far)
Ill keep trying the ROM out and see if I have more reboots. If its just bluetooth related then its not a problem
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
One more thing. Not sure if its the ROM or my phone but the power button seems to not work so well. It turns off the screen normally but turning the screen back on is the problem. It doesn't turn on by just pressing it I have to hold it down and then the power menu pops up and the screen turns on.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
What ROM and kernel did you flash? Sleepiness is due to kernel undervolting issues... or kernel related at least. Bluetooth would be the same I would gather... sounds like stock kernel for you!
My original EVO loved underclocking, and I could squeeze a few precious hours out of the battery with the right kernel, governor and voltages. My replacement however will not undervolt at all... not even 25 mA... so each evo is different. I am of the opinion that stock is going to give you the best overall performance.

...are you guys kidding me right now???
Mason kernel is for ICS, as in not Gingerbread so it will break things on Decks 1.3... come on man!!!
If you really want a great experience just flash CM 7.2 please and leave it be because those guys know Android and what it needs to love you long time... I apologize for the inconvenience of bad information...

But on the kernel's thread it said for "AOSP ROMs" and I did flash it and it worked. It does say it would also work on ICS tho.
I think I may just go to CM7 tho.
The april 8th update is better than the official one?
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Here is what you want...
CM 7.2
Wipe:
All/factory reset
Cache
dalvik cache
System
Boot
Then flash the ROM, no gapps for you if you don't want.
Mason says it apparently works on GB or ICS, but I don't see how that could actually be possible... though I am not a kernel dev... but your issues do seem to stem from a kernel issue...
I'd imagine using a sense kernel based rom like swagged out stock N would get you the best musical results, since it has a kernel that was specifically built for the EVO, and not something AOSP generic. Maybe throw the zip file in for beat audio, or use poweramp instead.
Swagged out stock N 2.0.9 with universal aggressive lionfish 1.8 is doing REALLY well for me. It uses the go launcher, instead of sense.
haha luckily ICS is based off of a GB Kernel, Tiamat. Mason has two flavors of his popular kernel, the "G" version which CAN be used for Gingerbread AND NON-HWA ICS Roms, and the "I" version which is strictly used for HWA enabled ICS roms.
also jamieg71 has aosp gb build that is being updated more recently if you wanna check that out havent run it personally but if its anything like his ics build it will be great
Hello,
I'm testing some new roms that are released, and have a question about DSP Manager.
In [06-09-12][ROMS][JB][4.1.1] Paranoid Android - AOKP - Sourcery [NativeSD][BETA][WIP]
the bass boost in DSPManager is using wrong frequency in my opinion. When I'm listening it, the bass sounds like boosting 600Hz
Does anybody know, when it will be a HD camcorder support for android 4 ?
