Suggestion: rotating transition

Sorry if this has been brought up before but ever since I bought a G1 (I pre-ordered that phone as well) I always wondered if android was ever going to get a rotation transition. You know like the one that wm7 phones have when you switch between landscape and portrait. ios devices have it as well. Can rom developers add stuff like that to their roms? This is just me being curious.

Probably something that Google would have to provide, as it would have to be platform-wide. But really, is this even necessary?
I never liked how choppy it looked when switching orientation. I like smooth transitions into things. Isn't necessary but would make android look a little smoother.

Screen calibration on CM7

Guys
I've recently switched to CM7 from stock froyo use slideIt for my keyboard and find that I need to recalibrate it
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Oops... Was trying to say I need some program to recalibrate my screen because I'm getting typos a lot.
On the stock ROM I could use the htc keyboard calibrator, but that's not in CM7...
Help please & apologies for the accidental submit...

Gingerbread Installed!

Ok, i just received the OTA 2.3.3 update for my Desire Z.
Doesn't look like too many changes.
Android 2.3.3
Sense 2.1
Anything to look out for??
How can I get the update I'm on simple mobile can someone post a like to the update

If you want the offical 2.3 update, you have to wait for your carrier to push it to you OTA.
If you have root, however, there are alot of 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 builds that you can flash.
I'm just curious if OTA shows for all guys who have installed clean Gingerbread Test ROM.
Do messages still display in the wrong order with stock htc sms app?

Messages are sorted fine, at least on my phone. Which is curious, since usually java+locales+sorting is a kind of combination that screws things up for me
Only negative thing to say about this release (besides being awfully late) is that GPS reception is bad (still). It could be HW issue though.

I updated. Some things are good:
New screen with app, wifi connection speed up, galery works fine
Some thing not good:
Phone restart, very often sense restart, gps problems with turn on and fix pos

If you're on simple mobile, then you're in the US and probably have a G2. Then this update doesn't apply to you
