Im not sure if this is the right place to post it. but...
I started to develop one app to use the android as a shortcut keyboard, like i configure the keys to the image buttons, and when I press the image button it will press the key on my pc.
But i really dont know how to make it works on PC.
if someone knows or have some guide for me, i will be really thankfull
possible bluetooth or wifi connection could work, bluetooth would be better tho, but you would have to code on the pc end aswell to get it all to talk to each other
I've wanted this for a so long it's ridiculous.

I did some tests with wifi, and an C# progrm as back end.
But with that i can only simulate the pressing of keys, and in some programs (games) it wont work.
So I need to get something without the back end in the pc, like, the pc recognize the android as a keyboard, and then i just send the keys i want.
I dont know if I explained it clear enough, but try to understadn

Hi all.
I have a T-Mobile MDA Compact, which I flashed with a big storage ROM I got from the FTP site (1.13.00 WWE). My device works fine, other than one thing.
I cannot establish an ActiveSync connection using Bluetooth. When I try to set up the connection on my device, when it comes to choosing which port I will use for the connection, there are none to choose from, and I am unable to complete the operation.
I can connect to other devices for file transfer Ok, and I don;t have any problems using a Bluetooth headset.
Does anyone know if there is an entry I can add to the registry to add a port manually, or if there is another way I can add a port?
Thanks.
Bump - can anyone help?
Thanks guys.
First of all pair your PC.
Then go to settings-tab system-Bluetooth settings and make sure you open your autbound COM port by clicking the checkox.
Press the button "start"
Goor luck!
Bruins3 - done what you said, but no joy. It tells me to then pair with my PC, even though it already is. Strangely, I can pair with my Magician from my PC, but not vice versa.
Once the two are paired, when I go to the COM ports tab in Bluetooth settings, I simply cannot add a port of any kind - no ports are listed in the drop-down box for me to select.
Help?

Forget it, Dont sync your magician using Bluetooth.
Its a big waste of time.
Ive spent the last hour trying to get this to work, and it just annoying me.
I have made my Magician sync with my computer over bluetooth before, Using 'Bluesoleil'. It's some sort of stack/ program, and for some reason my Bluesoleil doesent work anymore.
But someone made a thread about it, very detailed, and i cant find it anymore. Try experiment, and id be glad to know if you can get it to work properly.
whitemoo.
The other day my touchscreen response time started to flicker and then gave out within a matter of a few hours...
I am making due with the help of smarts key and sphelper (adds a mouse you can move with the arrow keys.) The only functions that I lost were the ability to play my games and to change anything with battery status (beta 3).
I tried to connect a M$ Bluetooth mouse but it wanted a passkey which M$ does not provide. I tried installing the drivers from Think Outside's Stowaway® Travel Mouse but the software would not even find my M$ mouse. Has any one found a workaround to get the M$ mouse to work on a wizard?
I think all I need to do it replace the touch screen. Has anyone had any experience with this? I downloaded the service manual off the wiki but don’t want to trash my phone without a backup one ready to go.
Thanks for reading and any help is much appreciated.
a bluetooth mouse maybe?
has anyone at least gottena bluetooth mouse working sucessfully? and if so what brand was it?
Not the solution you are asking for, but something that will drastically help:

Thanks for the links...if I get ballesy enough I will try and do it myself...hopeful I will get a new phone soon (if i can wait til June the Kaiser) and I can try and fix this one...or at least sell it on eBay
This one will give you access at least until you find another solution: you get your PDA on your desktop screen and can use it with desktop keyboard and mouse. I am using it myself and started to use my MDA more on the desktop than directly.
You can hook it up via USB or WLAN ...

Thank you so much that was exactly what I needed to get battery status set up the way I liked it as well as all of the registry keys set. Thanks again
Well,
I am glad I could help!
In case it is only the digitizer and not your LCD screen: SPB MOBILE SHELL lets you almost do anything on your PPC with only softkeys and navigation pad. The HW keyboard works on your device anyway I asume? If you want to take a closer look: http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/mobileshell/screenshots.html?en
I just received my CL850 virtual Keyboard today. Try to set up, it is easy - medium setup. It took me about 30 min from installing the drivers and connecting it to my HTC Tilt. It work on my WM 6.1 Dutty's Rom with a WM5 (the latest driver).
The keyboard overall is very good, if you want me to rates from 1-10 with 10 is the best, I will give 9. It is easy to type and adjust the sensitivity, I can see cleary even I am in very bright room. And the keyboard stroke sound can be adjust into four levels plus no sound, with quick function. So you don't need to be worry bothering other people if you are in a library.
The downsize of the keyboard: (1) it only can use on flat surface, so you need to place it on the table, (2) You can't assign a button on some of 4-unassign keyboard keys. I try to look at the manual so far but can't find any guide how to do it. I will try to contact a customer service if I can assign a button. It will be very helpful if I can assign those 2 soft left and right buttons key.
It is my first day got the item, I still need a further test and lets you guys know. Thanks
Nice, I've never seen a review on this keyboard before, only some previews. I have the iTech VKB but I don't like the fact that it lacks usb connection as I would like to connect it to my PC. Yes I know you can connect it with bluetooth but I would like to use it when entering the BIOS and also choosing OS to boot.
Does it work with USB on a standard PC without drivers or do you have to install the ones from Celluon? I'm asking this because I rarely use Windows. I read that it does indeed require drivers and therefore won't work on for ex. Linux based phones or Linux PC's.
I have an iTech VKB but it only has bluetooth and the quality is not that good. It tilts over easily too.
One problem with these keyboards are that if you typ a key that is between to IR sensor and another key you are typing it won't register. It does also not like too many simultaneous presses.
I really like the fact that you just need to swipe the table instead of opening the keyboard when it gets really dirty inside.
Well this is very interesting but It's expensive at least if ordering to Sweden.
I just got one today and It's the greatest "keyboard" I have used ever. It works all the way from bios to the Ubuntu desktop. It's much better than the itech vkb. The more solid construction prevents it from tilting as easy as the itech. It seems I have to adjust sensitivity however. The touch-pad feature is great and it feels to me like it supports multi-touch. Finally no more cleaning of the keyboard.
My current problem is scrolling in touch-pad mode. Arrows and dragging the right bar works but I would really like scrolling in the middle.
I thought the silverish button on the top was a push button but it was actually capacitive.
I haven't tried bluetooth because Ubuntu has currently big trouble with bluetooth.
Another problem is when playing games that require WASD and the mouse. The touch-pad feature won't work at the same time as the keyboard except the most basic buttons like ENTER and ARROWS.
PS. CTRL-ALT-DEL works (emergency reboot).
cl850 celluon laser keyboard/mouse on wm6?
I've gotten the keyboard to work via bluetooth and it works amazingly on my omnia wm6.1; had it working on previous dell axim x51v and palm tx... BUT, I haven't been able to get the mouse portion to work under wm... both keyboard and mouse work great in XP... any suggestions?
What drivers are you using and how did you set them up on wm6.1?
I have tried all the latest drivers from Celluon on my HTC Fuze p4600 and none will go.
I get an 'initialization error' when I try to run the setup util on the phone.

I get the same error when running the software on my Touch Diamond. This happens when running their app from the control panel.
From their site i've tried
SmartPhone [WM6.0] PKSetup_v1.9 / PocketPC WM6PPC_PKSetup_v1.9
Rob
Rob,
I did actually get this device to function with my p4600. I have since switched to another device, however, if I remember correctly I think it was the pocket PC 2003 drivers (not smart phone) that I FINALLY got to work, though the keyboard function was rather choppy while typing. You also have to start (and leave running) the Virtual KB app every time you want to use it.
Under XP, Vista and even Win7 the keyboard functions surprisingly well.. I just wish there were more support for mobile devices, which is where this device would really shine.
Interesing, i've just tried
Smartphone - [WM2003] PKSetup_v1.1.exe and it has a start menu app instead of control panel, that program does find the keyboard and it works. It seems accurate but its really slow, ie typing hello, you finish and then it start's its clicking noise and the letters appear.
The previous ones I tried was WM6.0 version 1.9 under both smartphone and PocketPC, although both zip files are identical size.
So when you used it and it was rather choppy, too slow to actaully use? Just wondering if the WM6 ones would work at a good speed if they worked.
http://www.celluon.com/common/data/list.html?a_gb=data&a_cd=3&a_item=0
The 2k3 drivers were the only ones I could get to function at all, and yes it was too slow to use. I assume this poor performance is not caused by a limitation of the phone or the keyboard because like I said in the previous post it functions flawlessly on a PC (XP,Vista and Win7) as well as with my Nokia (Symbian) device. This of course leads me to believe that if the correct driver or driver program existed and were used then this lag in typing would go away.
On another note it seems there are some people that have no problems using the WM6 drivers on their 6.1 devices which makes me think the incompatibility could reside on the device manufacturer side of things.. IE HTC has some setting or settings enabled/disabled in the OS which makes the driver program error out. I can only assume it would be an easy fix.. if it were just known what the problem is.
I have sent several messages to Celluon about this matter and receive nothing in return. I am afraid its just a defunct company at this point. Its ashame because its such a great little device. I don't think there are enough units out in the world to receive much community support.
oh man
I have one and I love it to death, but it does NOT get along with windows mobile 6.5
anybody seen any anything resembling a glimmer of hope? I've seen some of the stuff the xda beasts do, there has to be a way to get this to work.
Ive got the latest WM driver i could find on the celluon site & it all installed fine on my HD2 the only thing is i cant get it to connect via bluetooth, when i try & connect im asked for a passcode & whatever i enter it just says there was an error.
EDIT: Solved that, got all the way to selecting Projection Keyboard in the keyboard menu, then i get an error 'The security account database contains an internal inconsistency'
A few day's ago an app came out that allowes you to connect your Sixaxis to your Android Phone.
I'm unsuccessfully trying this now.
You need this app
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscompatibilitychecker
and this Tool on your pc :
http://www.dancingpixelstudios.com/sixaxiscontroller/tool.html
The Pair tool allows you to change the MAC address the controller is paired to.
And the compatibility checker allows you to see if it works, without having to pay for the full version. ( though the full version is all ready available trough other channels. )
It seems it does not work with the HD2 but perhaps my rom is to blame. I'd like to hear that this works.
Greets,
Guinhill
What doesnt work for you?
Im able to pair my sixaxis controller to my hd2 just fine.
However I am only able to use the controller on SNES9x emulators. Even after configuring the input of other emulators such as gba and nes, the controller doesnt work. I believe this is a bug or something.
Good to know, I'll keep trying.
My controller just keeps blinking the 4 leds and turns of after a few minutes. Per haps I should try the newer one with rumble.
I used an original sixaxis. Does pressing the PS button turn on your ps3? If not then you changed the Mac address successfully. Did you turn on Bluetooth on your phone?

Just wondering, how does your hd2 bluetooth address looked like? Is it in all number format?
i got it to work with no problem here is what you do
1- You get the programs that you need
2- Setup the controller to pair with your phone with the mac address of your bluetooth of your phone
3- Goto the program sixaxis controller and start it
4- In that same program where you start... stop..... change input method.... Click on input method and a drop down menu will show
5- Click on sixaxis controller..... Note After that you will lose your button controls but will have touch screen
6- Click Start in the same program "sixaxis control" ( look at the screen after it says connection established) if your bluetooth isnt on the it will ask to turn it on
7- Push the "PS" button on the control and it will say connected
8- Ok your phone is connected
9- Now the fun part getting the emulators to work
10- In all the emulators or the ones i use you have to make sure one setting is turned on or it will not work
11- Look for something like "enable special input device" or "use input method"
12- After that everything should work

I'm stucked here. I cant pair my controller. Everytime i change the master address, it kept changing back after i unplugged it. The red light kept flashing and wont stay. Any idea how? Maybe my controller's the problem?
Maybe the controller is the problem but I really don't see why it will not change but one thing I do know there are 2 versions of that setup program for the controller try downloading the other version and see if that works
The program for the computer that is.... I know the new version doesn't work on my computer had to use the older one
I'm still stuck at step 7, I'll download the older version of the pair tool.
The PS3 does not turn on when I push the PS button, so the old master MAC is removed
Might the new MAC 43:29:b0:00:00:00 be incompatible?

Weird. Everybody seems to have bluetooth address consisting of numbers and letters. Mine only consists of numbers. Maybe it displayed wrongly? Tried numerous ways to pair up the controller but the light just wont stay and it wont connect to my phone.

USB? Wow, never heard of those. I have bluetooth GPS but not USB.
Anyway, we can't really help you without more info. Can Tasker do it? Certainly. But nobody can guess how to run whatever it is that you have to do in order to get it to connect.
You might email the dev and ask is there is an intent you can call. Or you can launch the app then use things like dpad down, dpad in, etc, to see if you can hit the button.
