Hey there, i have just installed several roms for andriod on my HD2, however when i run these i get a black screen and the phone goes no further.. thes plenty of storage space on the SD Card, Is updating my radio safe & does it matter what network im on?
My current radio version is 2.07.51.22_2 Im on the Virgin network and i was wondering what would be the best update for my phones radio?
Regards Steve
Your problem is your radio it needs to end in .50 not .51 see
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=732380
I had a 2.09 radio and changed to 2.14.50. After that change, all works fine.
I did the hardspl to my hd2 to see if i could fix the no sound issue on my hd2. Tryied numorous android roms. No luck. I loaded nexus one and i get no sound. I changed stock roms and radios. I dont know what else to do. My friend had a tmobile us version and his works fine.
Feedback please thanx
Gotta be hardware fault if it happens on all roms. Go back to stock, if its the same then its deff hardware.
my hd2 works fine with the stock rom. was just trying to find an android that will work with my phone.
im using 3.14.720.3 (04666) WWE
radio: 2.15.50.14
i have used other radios but no luck.
I will change my HD2 with TMOUS HD2 one. What do you think about that? I am from Eastern Europe, is this a problem?
Is there enough Android and WM6.5 ROMs for T-Mobile version.
Is it worth the whole, this change?
512MB ROM more
Yes it is worth the change as just about all, if not all, Android ROMs will run on the TMOUS. And most custom ROMs now are based on the 3.14 stock TMOUS ROM. I absolutely love my TMOUS. Just remember you can not flash a 2.04.50.xx, 2.05.50.xx, or any x.xx.51.xx radio to the TMOUS or you will brick the phone. So never ever flash a non T-Mobile stock ROM to it. Also do not flash the 2.01 ROM in the T-Mobile HTC HD2 test and stock ROM thread here on XDA to it as it has a 2.05.50.11 radio and will brick a TMOUS.
Are the Android builds for T-Mobile HD2 better than regular HD2?

You must know more about it then mecause I am notaware of any Android ROM that is spacificaly for the TMOUS. If it is please pointmy tothem and I will try them out. I currently am using Hyperdroid on my TMOUS and it is great. I went withHyperdroidas I did stood bit of reasearching on the Android ROMs and thought Hyperdriid sounded best to me, now that was just my opinion not a definitive statement. I have a link to it in my sig if youwantto check it out. Nowasfor your question most of the Android ROMs run great on the TMOUS fromwhat Ihave read. I am also member of the T-Mobile forums and every one therethathas went NAND Android loves any Android ROM they try.
I'm using "1_HD2 Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.5 Tango 7.10.8773.68 v8.0" and I'm experiencing constant reboot loops. I just realized that data centric apps trigger the reboot loops (significant data transfers trigger the loops).
Questions
Should I Use 5.51 Radio on TMOUS Leo 1024???
Should stick with the 2.15 Radio it came with???
How do i stop Pdaimatejam v8.0 from updating to 5.51???
Can the part00.bin be removed from data.zip to prevent the radio update???

Post your question in Pdaimatejam's Rom thread. If you use a non-U.S. radio you'll screw up your phone. The 5.51T.09.29a_22_32_50.10U is the latest and greatest for the HD2, I believe. Official HD2 support from HTC and Tmobile disappeared a long time ago.
And btw...2.15 is the hardware radio...the 5.51T is the software radio.
Hello, Sorry if this message is posted in the wrong area, but this is my first post, i am a noob PLEASE HELP!
I have an unlocked Telstra branded HTC HD2 T9193 running the stock wm6.5
ROM and the stock RADIO.
OS Version 5.2.2169 (21869.5.0.82)
Manila Version 2.5.20121431.1
ROM Version 1.72.841.0 (82124) WWE
Radio Version 2.07.51.22_2
Protocol Version 15.32.50.07U
I want to run the NexusHD2 android build from my SD card but i have tried and it just sits at the linux boot code screen forever. I have looked on XDA developers and have found that i have to install HSPL3 and then flash the 2.15.50.14 RADIO ROM. Is this true? is there any other way to boot android without re flashing? I love my HD2 and am scared i will brick it? How can i ensure that i do not brick it (if i have to re flash a RADIO).

only tmous needs to be careful, , the radio brick you heard about doesn't affect you. (Well, there's always a slim chance with any flashing, but the infamous 'i flashed this radio/stock rom and now it wont turn on' brick doesnt affect your phone.)

So with TMOS devices you cannot flash a xx.xx.51.xx RADIO and have to flash a xx.xx.50.xx RADIO, but with a European or Australian device you can flash a xx.xx.50.xx RADIO, such as 2.15.50.14?
Yep, tmous 2.06.50 or higher,, must be x.xx.50
Regular+telstra - any radio, ..50.. or ..51.., will flash, however for compatibility with various things, (unlocking ram, using nand android, magldr) use high numbered ..50.. radios, 2.11.50 up to 2.15.50

Ok thanks, i have one more question. Can i use my stock ROM with the new 2.15.50.14 RADIO, or will windows crash, and make me have to install a custom ROM?
It will be fine.
