Hi Everyone,
My HD2 is no longer seen by Sync Center or by Windows Mobile Device Center.
I have tryed re-installing WMDC, but this hasn;t fixed the issue.
I can use the device as a USB flash drive, so the usb cable works and the device can be seen by the PC.
The PC is a Windows & 32bit laptop.
Where else should I be looking for problems?

guys, i'm a new user in using this device & i've got a problem connecting my device to my PC.. my device is using WM 5 while my PC is using windows XP SP 3.. i've installed ActiveSync 4.5 in order to connect my device to my pc.. however, when i plugged in the USB cable into my pc, there was an error saying that "Windows CE USB Device" needs to be installed.. i set the source folder of the driver to be installed in activesync folder installed in my pc but it didn't work.. as the result, the microsoft activesync can't connect my device to my pc.. i've tried to reinstall the software, restart the device, restart the pc but none of them worked.. so anyone can help?? thanks in advance..

Hi, i had problems syncronizing my phone and laptop. When i plugged in the laptop failed to install drivers and recognize the phone as "Generic RNDIS". I solved it by unticking "advanced functions" on my phone. Now i can sync it with windows mobile center. Unluckily when i try to use internet sharing it gives me the same problem. The laptop doesn't install the correct drivers (remote NDIS based internet sharing device) and recognize the phone as Generic RNDIS. I already installed windows mobile device center 6.1 and every kind of drivers.
Any help?

thanks for answering. Active Sync works only with windows XP or earlier. I have windows 7 and i have windows mobile center. By the way, i can't connect to internet.

It might have been a failed driver install... Go to device manager and un-install the driver but make sure the "DELETE DRIVER" box is UNCHECKED. Once it is uninstalled, reboot PC and plug the phone back in. Happened to me once and this fixed it.

If computer is coming up with 'device unrecognised' I usually found that a reboot (of both PC and Uni) was the only way to solve this. Once PC had not recognised the Uni it would not be persuaded!
I can't connect it to PC . I mean , i conncect the usb cable to my phone and my pc ... my phone shows that it is connected to my pc ... but there is nothing happening . I mean the PC doesn;t find the my phone. What should i do. Ty everybody! Sorry for my english
Well,may i know on what OS are you trying to establish USB connection? WM/Android?...For WM, have you installed windows mobile device center on your PC and tried syncing? As for android,try installing the right version of HTC Sync on your PC. Also, ensure you tick 'USB Debugging' under Settings-Applications-Development. For a few android builds, there will be a notification, prompting you to turn on USB Storage after you connect the USB cable. You have to try all those first before moving on to advanced troubleshooting like manual driver installation,android sdk,hard rest,etc.

I installed Zune and wanted to connect my device to sync it, but it isnt recognized.. All drivers are installed (Windows Phone Usb, HTC HD2 and so on.) Theres no Error in Device Manager.
When i connect my Device to the USB-Port, Zune starts but it doesnt recognize my HD2. I tried it 1000 times.. installed WMDC, reinstalled Zune, added local service, installed the drivers while beeing in bootloader-menu and so on.
Is there a chance to get my HD2 connected with Zune? I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64bit. But even on WinXp the same probs. Tried 3 cables also)

x64 windows sometimes make problems... try uninstall Windows Mobile Device Center and install it again but if this not help only way is to use x86 windows...
