Is it possible to port the rom of the arc of play to our phone? or at least the games?
Too much hard work, we have to crack the bootloader, then we can put on our xperias whatever we like
Impossible - hardware is too much different.

Is it possible to root the x8 with the x10 software, or change some parts of the x8 software with the one on the x10? Because x10 has a better software and some other apps!

I know I especially want the social phonebook ,but there are some compatibility issues you can install it alright and view the contacts list but you cant view the details of a particular contact apparently it is integrated tightly with timescape...
Plus all these apps have only hdpi files while x8 supports mdpi files
So it doesn't fit the screen or crash.
In short it needs to be optimized for smaller screens or it won't work...

As for as I know, the phone is not out or leaked so we can't get our hands on it at all. Eventually I'm hoping that the app is ported more so than the OS, but lookin forward to it I suppose. It'll be interesting and probably about useless without a game controller (still have the wiimote ect though if someone hacks that in)
Well I know the xperia arc system dump came out and I used the timescape app from. Id make a rom from the system dump of I knew how or if it could ne dome
where is it or could u give a link

And honeycomb is made for tablet sized screen.
It is optimized for tablets. But i remember reading that it had support for HVGA screens(in the sdk)
I flashed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=982384 after changing a few things in the build.prop and it worked. But it only boots and lets us use the touch screen (like in X8), so unless someone knows how to "fix" things this is all we can get I'm afraid.

and the x10 has WVGA screen.. then again telling android what resolution to use is not hard.

well...it may be a long time until ICS run on X10
OMG OMG OMG
Highly unexpected
I know right, been testing out what I can get working.....basically only some of the old stuff we've got from the older arc roms, I think the status switch widget is updated, but don't quote me on that.
and curse your sig, I thought I had a bug on my screen D:
That's good, maybe we can use some stuff inside package for Arc S. Damn it, also mod old kernel too.

look great**
Preview show the ROM more like SE version of ICS not like original ICS or Cyanogen style. but the page linked to FXP CM 7.2.0 (Arc/Arc S)
System.IMG contains odex files. Some apps like SEMCMusic, Media Widget and photo widget can be installed on Cobrato MIUI but only Media Widget can be use.
I believe the X10 has some capable reverse engineers. With this ICS alpha release from SE, hopefully we will see a complete ICS rom for the X10.
new hopes comes )
I have been trying to get the new apps to work on the GB fw but whatever I try doesn't seem to work. The fact it lets us see the apps and not parse error us means there has to be a way they will work. I will keep looking into it and and let you guys know .

On 2.3.7 it works some lol. I'm trying to port it but stuck at splash screen using Z modified kernel and his Zip as base. Something must be wrong

It's weird. I thought it should work. The thing is we cant use appXplorer to see the SDK number it's for. What rom are you using?

look there , can some one port this to x8 ?
You can't have this on the X8 because of the following reasons:
We need at least 512 Mb of Ram. 1 Ghz Cpu minimum or at least 825 mhz.

You must be using Xperia™ arc S, Xperia™ neo V or Xperia™ ray, running the latest Xperia™ software release (which is 4.0.2.A.0.42). Please note that you can’t use the original Xperia™ arc or Xperia™ neo, as they have different partition layouts.

Well, have much fun trying to port the ROM for the devices mentioned above to the ARMv6VFP of the W/X8.
But then...
Look here, we actually already have a partly working ICS ROM for the X8

What the hell are you guys talking about ?! If that's the case, paul-xxx's cm9 shouldn't even work
I've never said that he's working for nothing..
Just that x8 has hardware limits.. It's very difficult for me to try explain it in english..
Look. Try to port windows 7 on a 800mhz with 256mb ram.. It will be extremely difficult.. I think it's a little the same.
Course he's doing great job.. I tested it and it's running well.. but I'm perplexed that we can run ICS with all of his fonctionnality on our x8.
But I hope I'm wrong
