Just got my device today, and the hardware buttons stopped working after about 30mins. occasionally the volume button will work for a few seconds but thats it. i cannot flash dexmod cos of the lack of functioning keys. is there something i can do to make the keys start responding?
It seems as hardware problem. But try to wipe data / factory reset in settings
done that already...the keys are still not working. is it possible to apply the adhoc fix to the stock rom? (using the updater in settings)?

Can't be a hardware problem if you can navigate the recovery menu to access wipe/clear
i have not been able to access the recovery menu, what i did was to install button savior and reset to factory settings thru the settings menu. button savior does not work in the recovery kernel.

Yesterday was installing the drivers for the Redfly viewer on my XDA Mini. When the drivers had finished installing, the device soft reset and wouldn't get past the O2 splash screen. I've been browsing the web for possible solutions but haven't found a definiative answer. Can anybody give me some advice to possible fix my XDA?

This will erase all data and restore your phone to factory default settings.
Hard reset sequence: Press VoiceDial button + Comm Manager button + soft reset.
nah, it hasn't done anything still stuck on O2 splash screen. Thanks anyway

Fixed it, then you need to keep holding down the two buttons while pushing the d-pad, then when prompted pushing the talk button

after I upadted my LG GT540 i can´t reset it to factory standarts. Evertime I want to go to the settings it tells me that the Process has to shut down. There is no chance to get in to the settings.
How can I fix this.
I tried to Upadte over again but there is the same Problem. WHY !?
never had that problem, even updated to 2.2 no problems. try factory reset, as you can not go into setting to do it you can do it via combination of key presses volume up home and search button. hope it helps

Couldn't find a thread with precisely same situation - this morning I left my Iconia with WiFi off on standby with plenty of battery left (70ish %), only to just find it powered off. Now when I try to power it on, it stays in the Android boot animation and doesn't go anywhere from there.
And like I said in the title, it isn't rooted or in any other way hacked, so this is really weird. I think a factory reset would make it work, maybe, but if anyone has any other ideas I'd love to hear them before resorting to wiping.
Also I have no idea how to do a factory reset without CWM. Long press reset button doesn't seem to work?

A simple method for wiping is described in this thread.
Alternatively you can connect an USB keyboard, boot to recovery (vol-down + power) and press HOME on the keyboard. This will open a menu where you can select factory reset.
It got stuck at "Erasing cache" but I just shut it down and rebooted, now it started. Thanks a lot. Somehow I think I'm going to root it now and put CWM so I won't have to lose all my data because STOCK ROM crashes for some weird reason and I don't have a backup.

Ok so im running custom Paranoid cyanogenmod android rom v1.5 and i need to hard reset all information in my phone.
I've tried doing the both volume buttons and power button to hard reset,but that didnt work,even my messages stayed.
I've tried doing factory reset in option,didn't work either.
When im entering aMAGDLR V1.13 recovery( pressing power button til i enter boot menu) there is an option for AD hard reset or just reset and i think they might work, but the key problem to this is that my calling button isnt working and i just cant choose anything in the boot menu..Any ideas if i could hard reset with pc or in any other way?
Have you tried resetting from within android?
System settings > Privacy (I think) > Factory Reset **BE CAREFUL, this might format your sdcard, I'm not sure. So either keep the card out (If you're not doing a2sd or similar stuff, or back it up**
Also, for the device hard reset, it's volume UP only.. But I think it was part of windows mobile ROMs so it might not work with MAGLDR.
Another option for you to try is to reflash MAGLDR. That might erase your stuff, but I don't know how you'll put CWM back since your CALL key is not working.

But my phone got a bootloop, so i flashed the stock firmware 4.4.2 Gt-i9505 via odin and it worked..sort of.
Now the home button, notification center, the settings icon in the pulldown menu, the button next to it,my lockscreen and long pressing the wifi to the multiwindow button doesn't work. Power menu only contains reboot and power off, used to have airplane mode and volume buttons.
Menu, back, volume keys and power button are working. And home button wakes the screen if its of.
Please help :crying::crying::crying:
PS I don't like to do a full wipe
Also tried replacing framework-res.apk with another one, another bootloop, so reflashed the same rom again.

Yeah, I just did and luckily my phone worked again. Oh and I said I don't LIKE to .
So, I guess question solved.
