Because MAGLDR only supports HSPL 2.08 right now is why you have to have 2.08. Also here are the two best guides I have seen here on XDA for installing a NAND Android ROM on your HD2. I highly recommend you take a goodds look at both of them.

HSPL is the same if it is HSPL 2, HSPL 3or HSPL 4. They just include and support the most recent versions of SPL and provides the corisponding HSPL. When you flash HSPL it allows you to choose wich version of HSPL or SPL you want to flash. I think this is what you are looking for, happy flashing.

Hehe, 12 months ago that's more like the answer I would have given,,, now I'm old and jaded i can only manage 1 - 2 - 3

Ha what can I say I try to be a nice guy. But I do totally know where you are coming from Samsamuel, I also see why people get so upset when people start threads or post with questions that have threads with the answer they are looking for all over XDA. Heck when I first found XDA via watching YouTube videos I was totally scared to even post so I searched thread by thread and post by post until I figured out how to safely flash a custom ROM and run Andriod from SD. I even set up all night three nights in a row just searching for APN settings to get my Android build on SD card to get a data signal. So even though I do get tired sometimes of just handing the same information out over and over and over again. I can not help but remember how lost I was and felt trying to learn all of this on my own, so I try to do my part. Plus I am like you Samsamuel I beleive in carma too. Plus you have done your share of helping people here out, beleive my I know, I have read sooooooo many of your post. Hats of to you my friend.
Ok done with my rambling now lol

Lol thanku guys u all r the best ;-)

once you have magldr, you no longer have windows mobile. so no, you cannot access it.
you can flash back to WM, but you will lose your nand android rom.

yes, you can flash via magldr or CWM so no you don't technically need CMW- your desired rom will tell you which.

[Q] how to directly boot into android without using MAGLDR

does someone know ho to directly boot into android without using MAGLDR?
I have a htc hd2 with 448mb of ram and every time I install MAGLDR it freezes at the white htc boot screen. MAGLDR DOESN'T RUN ON A HTC HD2 WITH 448MB OF RAM.
So can someone please show me another method
Installed software on phone:
ROM: 3.14.405.2 (04666) WWE
RADIO: 2.15.50.14
HSPL: 3.03.0000
thanks in advance
Radio, you need to change radio. Pretty sure it even mentions the radio in magldr thread post 1.

It does say something in post #1 about the radio.
You need radio which support 576 RAM.

For someone that doesn't know exactly what that means it could be a little confussing, but I guess that is where "search comes in useful" also probably why hrpearl01 started their other thread in the HD2 General forum " how do you activate the htc hd2 ram". Funny that you are the one that responded to both of the threads.
Yes, it's the radio most likely. Also, just for information's sake, *ALL* hd's have 576 of ram. Just because the system only reports 448 doesn't mean it's a different model. (Some of the ram is shared with the radio, that's why not all 576 is available to the user.) Only difference in hd models is us vs eu, and that's 512mb of storage vs 1024.
Have already have updated everything, I have:
radio: 2.15.50.14
HSPL: 3.03
rom: 3.14.405.2 (04666)WWE

You'll need to use HSPL4 to downgrade to SPL 2.08, then HSPL3 to install HSPL 2.08, then install magldr or clk, then flash CWM, then flash a NAND Android rom.

I had the copy but I deleted it permanently because I thought I wouldn't need it anymore.
So you downloaded it once, so you already know where to get it from. If not, use the search function with keywords 'magldr' and 'clk'. Or just read thru the stickies. If you don't know all about doing all this stuff, a minute of reading is worth 100 links. You may find on your own a step you've been missing all along, answering your own question.
It's forum etiquitte to search, then read, if u dont find what your looking for, search and read some more, and if you still haven't found it, then find the right thread to ask in. It shows respect for the fora, the members, and the devs who made all this possible.

I am sure you were a noob at some point and needed help, give em a brake, how about not being such a **** and help them out, just a friendly thought, maybe!
Here is a link sense the rest of these lazy folks are not willing to help.
Also as already stated you want HSPL 2.08 not 3.03
here is where you can find that...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6891358&postcount=1893
I wasn't being a **** at all, I'm just not gonna do somebody else's legwork for them. Re-read my post. I was polite but to the point. If it was something he couldnt do for himself, I'd gladly do it. By having someone find things on their own, they learn to navigate the fora, use the search function, and read some of the huge amount of invaluable info on this site.

I just came back to this thread to read through it and I had to make a correction here. The OP said they had HASPL 3.03 so all they had to do is use HSPL 4 to flash HSPL 2.08. They did not need to downgrade the HSPL 3.03 to SPL 2.08.0000. HSPL 4 was created so nomattercwht SPL or HSPL you have you can use HSPL 4 to flash any SPL are HSPL you needed. Or should I say official none test or special SPLs.

The reason why a TMOUS ROM and a TMOUS radio flashed to a EU HD2 unlocks an extra 128 MB of RAM on the EU HD2 is because both the ROM and the radio were created for the TMOUS. Which means they were disigned to run on the TMOUS and it's specs. With out flashing a TMOUS ROM or TMOUS radio a EU HD2 only has 448 MB of RAM where as the TMOUS has 576 MB of RAM. So yes there is a difference.
When you flash MAGLDR and a TMOUS radio to a EU HD2 it unlocked the extra 128 MB of RAM too.
Yep, I figured HSPL4 would get from an official SPL to HSPL2.08, but I've never personally used version 4, but I had read in someone else's post somewhere that version 4 would take 3.03 down to 2.08 and that version 3 would insrall HSPL. Thanks for the clarification
There actually is a modified version of HSPL3 that can get rid of the test SPL, it bypasses the SPL check that's normally done to prevent bricking. It can be found in a thread named 'How to unbrick a bricked TMOUS HD2' or something similar, there's a link to it in one of the stickies, and the d/l link is buried somewhere about halfway thru the thread. (Saved my ass one time, I was stuck on the test rom for a few months)

Hi,
Each ROM nowadays seems to have a different sized CWM partition.
This is generally well explained on the [OP].
Read carefully,or at least post which ROM you intend to use,so that someone could maybe check for you.

Hi,
Only other thing I can think of is;
have you got the correct ROM for your phone...magldr/clk...tmous/EU 512
OP, you should really use the search feature instead of asking repeat questions.
Do this:
Task 29
Update Radio
MagLDR 1.13
Clockwork Mod Recovery
ROM
Done.

So now that you have it figured. Run the Tmous version and see if you like it then download the EU version with CWM partition size 190 instead of the 240 you used for the Tmous version. It works and you get more free ram. I am runnning EU ROM with 150 partition and am getting 250+ ram free 24/7. Just a tip to any US HD2, you can run the EU version of any Rom.
And please rename thread with [SOLVED] at the beginning of thread name. Now others won't need to waste time and help, and "EXPERTS" won't come to flame.
