Hi
I wonder if its possible to install WP7 and Android on two seperate sd cards so all I have to do is just shut off the phone and switch cards to be able to change OS. I hope someone can help me with this.
(I tried search!)
anyone? Help, please?
You can do this with one SD card.
Simply follow the tutorial from here and will have WP7 and Android dual booting from one card.

WP7 on HD2 booted via SD card, similar to Android. Or maybe a dual ROM with WM 6.5.x and WP7? Find a way to re-portion the SD card so WP7 doesn't take up the whole thing, and have enough to run a RAM Android ROM as well??
Here is how you run wp7 and android from the same card:

Cotulla is trying to make wm6.5 boot from sd card. Watch the magldr thread for updates.

Hey, you know that you have to edit sth in your android build? You can't just copy an sd build and boot it with magldr...
This thread is a good intro:

Hi,
When you want to dual boot WP7 and Android do you need 2 SD cards to help partition the other one?
Also do they both have to be Micro SD cards or can I just use one micro and the other sd?
Thanks
Yes you can use SD instead of MicroSD. You can also use an SSD, an HDD 5.1/4, a vinyl...
Sorry but read what you write a second time. How do you want to put an SD in microSD slot ???
No you don't need two µSD. Partitioning make the OS to see two different cards.
You can use 2 SD if you want but be careful to not boot WM7 without the good SD. This may messed up your data (maybe wipe it) as WM7 use the SD like in a RAID system (means that NAND and SD are mixed together and can't be separate).
NB: do you read the posts in WM7 section ??? I'm sure they explained it (of course not regarding your SD/µSD question... this one noone never asked before).
seems you're new. So don't take my answer badly. Spend some time reading the info on XDA. Most of your questions will find an answer somethere here.
Hello everyone,
Sorry kinda hit a brick wall and can't figure something out. I am dual booting my HD2 from T-Mobile with win phone 7 on nand and magldr sd builds of android. if I put in a sd card with only one partition and android will boot and run ok and android mounts the sd card and can use it.
If I use a sd card formated with one fat32 partition primary active and unknown for win 7 unkown unactive android will boot and not mount the sd card.
so android will run and operate fine but can't use anytnig of the SD card.
is this something wrong with the partitioning or just can't do with partitions now.
I was previouly able to do it before. Just leftphone for a while and came back after a update to Win phone 7 and after reinstalling everything and this is where I gotstuck now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Don't know if you figured it out yet, but here is what I think the problem is.
You need to set the android partition to active.
For additional help go to youtube and search wp7 android hd2.
You will find 96edwysMobile's two part video tutorial on how to do it.
Hope this helps.
Hello,
I use to dual boot wp7 and android on my hd2. My question is what I have to do, if I want to change my wp7 rom without formating my sd card, the long way, like I had to do to make my sd card able to dual boot?
Sorry for bad english

Preparing to update to WP7.8 v.8.6 from 8.5. Looking for an answer to this question too.
you cant change WP7 without flashing
flashing WP7 delete all partitions from sdcard...
better way is to use 2 sdcard... cards work much faster and stable...
i use this
one card prepared for Native SD with EXT4 and use for Android
second card use for WP7...
