wm - android sd - HD Mini General

I installed on the sd sw Cotulla Android and what is working well. I noticed that the mini flashes green and red, and if I put the phone in standby, remain on the five buttons at the bottom, wondering, there will be a greater demand on battery power? you can damage the phone? You can add the Italian language? thanks and regards

Help with Dead Magician

Hello All,
It has been a while since my last post, but I need help once again.
My Magician has taken a turn for the worse. The power connector has broken off and I had it repaired by a great company.
My issue is now the device is coming up with multiple colors on the display (primarily Orange, Light Blue, and White) vertically). This is different from the color test where it is Red, Blue, Green.
When I attempt to load the ROM all I get are connection issues on the MaUpgradeUt. I am not positive I have gotten the device into the correct mode as the display is not working. Speaking of displays, the company that attempted to repair my device did try a new screen and experienced the same results. Also they placed the original screen on a new Magician and the screen worked great.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I would love to have my Magician back.
Thank you,
John
John,
Try maupgradeut_noid.exe from the ftp, instead of maupgradeut.exe. It may help. I don't advice you to run down the battery cause some are complaining that it won't charge without OS. BTW does the led come up constantly when you plug in the power or usb? If so you probably still got an OS.
Guess you know how to put it into bootloader, just try & hold for a second or 10 & connect usb & try to flash with the no_id. Must be difficult without confirmations on your screen, but a SD flash will be even harder.
Hope this helps, otherwise I see only one solution left: have it serviced again :-(
Regards, M
Thank you for the info.
I tried the new MaUpgradeUt_noID but now I am getting the error on the PC saying Error 150: ROM Upgrade Utility Error.
The device appears to be fully functional with the exception of the screen.
John
Did you ran the noid once or twice. It needs to be running twice, my guess is that in the first run it alters the RUU file (adds the first line devicecheck or something) & the second it really upgrades.
Was the screen problem present before you had the power-connector serviced? Maybe something is loose or broken now...
Cheers, M

Hi All,
if i am starting my magician over the button "on" at the right upper corner, my pocket pc is booting.
The pocket pc work fine since two years. For that reason, I do not think it is a ROM-problem. It is not the original ROM-Image, but
Have anyone a idear ?
My last option is to flash a new ROM Version.

Turn screen off and lower battery warning level

Hi Folks!
New in the world of WM STD I have the following issues I can't find a solution to. Probably anybody can help cause the solution is nearer than I think...
From WM 6 Prof. I am used to turn on my device with the power button and turn it off, or at least the screen, by pressing it again. With my Snap I just can turn the display on with the power button. Turning off doesn't work for me, I have to wait until it turns dark on it's own. Is there a way to turn the display off by pressing a button like on WM Prof. devices?
I searched for lowering the battery warn level. Right now my Snap starts blinking when the battery is below 20%. In my eyes much too high and with WM Prof. I had the opportunity to change that in the settings. I couldn't find anything similar in WM STD. Is there a way to change it?
Are there any news about flashing a SPL 1.24 Snap? Hard SPL or Jump SPL. I'd prefer Jump SPL, but I would appreciate any solution to get a custom ROM.
Thanks a lot in advance for reading and probably answering!
Cheers

Just to be on the right side: Is that just a thing I see as a problem, is there no solution available or probably I wasn't able to explain my problem properly...
Please let me know.
Thanks

1. There is no way to turn off the display manually..good old non-touch technology
2. First i thought 20% iss to early too, but after it starts flashing, my Snap have only 5-6 hours left on normal use. Typical for rechargable batterys i guess.
3. i have no idea

Thanks for the answer. Yes, I guess the "turning off the display" way only is possible on pocket pc's, if you come from normal mobile phones it's what you are used to...
True about the 20%. Anyhow I wondered if it is adjustable...
Thanks!

[Q] Backlight not working.

Good evening everybody. I had installed NAND Android 2.2 on my HTC HD2 yesterday. Everything has worked fine, everything exceeded expectations, but today, something happened. I had to turn off my phone and find my SIM card to enter the SIM number, because i had to switch operator, but when I turned the phone again, the backlight would not work! If I keep the phone under lights, I could still see the menus, etc. What could be wrong? The light in the hardware buttons still lit.

Try to turn up the backlight or switch auto backlight on. I've had it on a different build, when sliding auto backlight completely down, it turned of my backlight completely, allthough I could still see the display under a light.
Sincerely,
Mac

Thanks for the suggestion. But it did not work unfortunately. I found out that when I put the phone to charge, the little red LED does not light up. I'll try to install Windows Mobile again and then install NAND Android again, maybe it will work.
Greetings Tobseren
I have now installed Windows Mobile on the phone and the screen lights up again. I would therefore suggest that the recently released Android version of Cotulla has a bug. Or could it be my phone that there is an error?

You're the first one I know who has this issue, so it's to soon to call it a bug. Why don't you give it another try? Could have been a bad flash.
Sincerely,
Mac
I found out it had nothing to do with NAND Android. After searching on other threads here, I found that it is the motherboard that has some bugs. It was thus that the backlight would not work (because of "microperror") and that the phone would not turn on again until it had been without a battery through the night. I sent it in to my carrier, which I hope will replace my motherboard and not say it is a water damage! What could be typical of them to say.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Glad you figured it out. Hopefully you'll get it (or a replacement) back soon, so you can play along
Sincerely,
Mac
My phone has now arrived at the post-office, and i got an message from my operator: The phone is waterdamaged. This means that the phone has been water damaged from the previous user of the phone. I only used the phone from 21th December 2010 to 6th January 2011. Everyday it has been in the pouch and not been subjected to some kind of liquid! It's 345$ straight out the window. If my operator did not damage the phone even more than it is, it can still be used, but with the 2 errors, namely "microperror" and overheating.
