Wifi secured - Networking

Is there any way to bypass a secured WiFi?
I'm using Samsung SGH-i600..

Eerrmmm...
Short answer- Yes.
Long answer-
Not sure if you realize or not, but that's kind of illegal. It's a white collar crime at any rate, but still no good.
As far as I know, I've only seen phones breaking the WEP encryption, but I will not point you in a direction to look nor tell you how to do it.
It's not as easy as some will lead you to believe.

I think it is really very interesting. I will try to google it and post it here if i fond something.

is it the build or my provider that avoid me from having fun with 3g

help me with this before I throw away this phone

pls..help me with this problem....
my internet connection some time cannot connect ..some time can connect ...at full coverage location..(at home)
I have try changing the baseband but the problem didn't solve.....
how can I make it stable...?
my Rom is 1.66
pls help if u can......THANK U
You'd be better recylicing it, rather than just throwing it away.
Then someone will get some use out of this phone.
I'll give you £20 for it...............
Seriously though, sure its not just your network, this happens to me quite often because the t mobile coverage where I am is piss poor, despite showing a "good" amount of coverage on the phone...........
Or try a different radio, seems a bit drastic to throw your phone away though.
please give me a solution ....instead of talking rubbish here....thank u

switching to verizon with evo

Hi
I'm thinking about switching to Verizon wireless, but I want to take my evo with me. Will it be possible to do? What are the cons of doing so?
Any help with be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried using the EVDO hack to get Verizon coverage without actually making the switch?
Why would u jump to the verizon
sent with my evo from a secret place

No, it's not possible. Please search the forums next time.
While the EVO may be on the same type of network as Verizon, they will never activate the phone on Verizon.
Man the recent threads from people who have 10th posts or less are getting sad!
There is nothing preventing you from taking the EVO with you to Verizon. However, you won't be able to call or text, and all of your data must be through wifi.

That caused me to slowly roll into a nice belly laugh. Well stated.
Haha, that was good.
They should make it so your first 25 posts can only be posted in the Q&A forum with voting, so if you post too many really stupid questions that have been answered a hundred times before, people can vote you off the forums...

That is just plain unfair to those of us who have any idea what we are talking about or actually know what we can and can't do with our phones but haven't been members as long as some others or have a lot keeping them occupied and can't have a high post count

No because people like that are the minority. Most of the people with 25 posts or less ask questions that can be found with a SEARCH or have been posted in the Q and A subforum.
Besides...what are you complaining or arguing about? You have 40 posts, well above the limit that he was talking about.
To the OP, why would you want to? Sprint has a roaming agreement w/ Verizon, and Sprint is a LOT cheaper! And this:

I had less than 25 not very long ago but something doesn't have to affect me to think it is unfair and my problem is trying to assume that everyone who has been a member for a shorter time is a "n00b" or doesn't know how to use a forum or follow guidelines
Well that is why there are threads specifically for "how to search" the forums. If you can think of the question...then search for it first. If you can't find your answer, then ask the question. It's not that hard, yet when people get told to search, they throw a fit and call members rude and mean.
Life isn't easy or fair. Sometimes you have to get chewed up and spit out to learn.
if you dont wanna help, then keep the useless comments to yourself. im so sick of all of the wannabe moderators on here lately.
yes, you can, although it's a little bit 'gray'.
get a phone with verizon. get a plan with verizon. google esn switching. change the evo's esn to match that of your new phone. done. it won't have 4g. otherwise should be fine.
although, esn switching is frowned upon, but that is for setting up multiple devices with the same esn. it's a gray area otherwise. if you swap the esn out, make sure you DO NOT USE the other device. you would be in direct violation of something, i'm sure.

i laughed too I tried the same thing when I got the I/O Evo and it can not be done you have to have someone inside verizon add the phone to there network which they will not do no matter what you ask I have an Insider at Verizon and he said he couldnt/wouldnt do it it would get back to him and he would get fired so i dont know what to tell ya

That isn't the end of it actually. Only the tip of the iceberg.
In addition to the above you also need to change all the variables in the device to match those of verizon. This means your data log in, dns servers, PRL, mms/sms information etc..
It is a very detailed process that generally nets you a device that is missing something, usually mms or data. It can be done but it isn't easy nor would I recommend anyone doing it.
You also DO NOT need to clone another devices ESN. While that would work Verizon will activate a device that isn't made for their network. It takes getting the correct rep on the line high enough in the food chain. You can also send the device in and let their techs do the work but it takes upwards of a month and YMMV on that route as well.

those aren't that hard to edit, if you know the config. just a matter of going into the data edit and changing the addresses. changing the esn is the more intricate bit, because you need extra software to read and manipulate them. if you can change the esn, the other stuff can be done on the phone iteself.
really? i always thought the ESN part was the easiest. the other stuff seems to be more tedious and troublesome!

[Q] Have any business owners tried square?

Was wondering if anyone has given this a shot, and if it'll even work on our device? Pretty sure I'll have to bite the bullet to find out, but please chime in if you have any input whatsoever. https://www.squareup.com/ - site
Thanks

[Info]Can't use Megaupload anymore, shut down by feds

I'm pretty upset that megaupload was shut down by the feds. I had a very important rom uploaded on there and now I can not access it. Rom devs if you have used this site to upload your rom(s) to, your pretty much screwed:

Yes this is total BS. It just proves that the powes that be aren't interested in following the same guidelines they set forth for others. This particular action isn't just an infringement of rights, it's a clear abuse of power. They have no interest in fair and just. This is a clear indicator that if we let them continue down this path, one day we shall all be asking for permission to use our once freedom of speech. They hide their attack of our rights by saying that certain individuals were pirating. But in reality it's the same as confiscating your home, and every house in your neighborhood. Because a person three blocks over might be stealing cable. In essence it is downright ludacris.

The FBI site didn't even go down, basically, they're not as amazing as they thought. In a way I want to see them prevail but it's inhumanly possible, I can only imagine that they'll eventually be found and arrested, sparking conversy and if anything that'll light the fire for the fight against these bills, and overall a new outlook on human rights.
Might prove me wrong though

Yea FBI.gov I saw still works, but come on now they got the others down and that's hell of a lot better than what anyone else would've done...everyone makes mistakes xD
And others have seen it down according to other articles

They were shut down but they(the gov) got it up and running shortly after
Yup, the whole reason they attacked megaupload was because of all the sites like this one protesting against SOPA. Hello even google protested against it. It just goes to show how much of a bully our government can be when people speak their minds. It's like them saying "you don't have rights to free speech or to decide what we the fed government do" or "we make the laws not you the people".

Yup looks like even sites that are US based can/will get shut down by the US. Over the years i've come to hate us(america) and all the bull**** we "stand for" I see why everyone hates us and i'm really thinking about moving to Canada or some place else in the upcoming years
Sending an attack directly to fbi.gov is really dumb and childish. It's also a great way to get caught. I'm pretty sure they'll get traced back pretty quickly.

Yeah but the problem is most of them are located in other countries hiding behind proxies. And a lot of isp's don't want to co-operate, and tech they don't have to if they are in certain countries. That's why they call themselves anonymous because it's really hard to find them. Trust me they've gotten smarter since the last time people got arrested. I've done my research on it.

It only takes 1 bot on a US or UK address and they're done.
That's why I use multiupload, hopefully they don't shut down it or all the sites it uploads to.

(Q) is there a way to use the note 4 as a 2nd screen

As the title States, is there a way to use the note 4 screen as a screen for let's say a PC or otherwise? I know about splash top and streaming online, however I'm referring to using a local connection like MHL and reversing the signal so it takes a signal instead of giving it, i'm guessing a resounding no but I could be wrong so thought I'd ask.
Many thanks
