What a failure from Toshiba not to offer a quad core tablet for the Xmas season. The Thrive for $300 or less is a great value. That's 50% the cost of the Toshiba Prime / doc combo.
I found an Allwinner A10 tablet on big discount and i know the original price is $139.99.

I apologize if this question has already been posed. I am tempted to buy a new Fire8HD but am offput by some of the customer negative reviews on Amazon. Are there rumors of an upgrade? Thank you, Sam
I haven't heard of any. I wouldn't recommend buying the Fire HD 8 right now considering it isn't on sale unless you are getting the Prime membership bundle- not that it isn't worth the $80, but they go on sale often
