Hello,
I had to change the glass of my Mini HD because it was broken. Everything was working just fine but the glass was broken.
So, i bought a new one in the Ebay and start installing it.
Before assemble the phone again, i turn it on and test the new glass, and was working just fine.
Then I start assembleing all the pieces and when i turn it on again the top of the lcd have intercalated horizontal lines (as you can see in the pictures).
Everything else works just fine, including the touch in all the glass.
I disabamble it again, and again... take off the lcd, inspect the lcd connector, clean it... but it still like that.
Any one know what happening?
(sorry about my english)

Push the LCD Hard!, I mean your Finger and push on LCD, Harder and harder..
or roll it by your hand hardly.
because you used it before without lines, and maybe the LCD isn't fitted, So that's why I say Push the LCD above Hard, and harder. Force?

Here is the missing pic hope it works this time.
If you broken just glass- digitizer. so you just buy new on ebay. If you broken lcd screen, too so buy lcd+digitizer.
just make sure you buy digitizer for your phone because there are two types of them. One you showed is an older type and there is newer "snap in" type.
like this-\/

i cant put the picture because of 8 post block...
I broke the glass of my Leo last week as well, fixed now. I was lucky though, it was just the digitizer but when they were about to change it they did tell me that the digitizer and the lcd are so close and well pinned to each other that there was a risk they broke the lcd when trying to remove the digitizer so then I would have had to buy lcd +digitizer .. but it worked fine. Good luck!
Broke mine last October, covered it in a screen protector and its been fine ever since. The money saved not replacing it is in my "new hd2 for sam" fund, and you soon get used to the cracks, which can hardly be seen when the back light is on.
it happended wid my frnd too !
I tried boot my device and I scared cause In the screen is weird lines.
I attach picture of this and hope somebody can help me.
I also check all the adapters in the screen and opened the phone totally (all the screws) .

I'ts dropped on the ground for about half metres.
It shouldn't be broken on this.
I will check the adapters off the screen again if some of these are loose.

Hi guys. I bought my N7 2 weeks ago and I think it has screen lift on the left side. Please look at the photos and tell me if I should send it to warranty. And one more question.. screen lifting is happening in time or it had been there since you bought it?
p.s:screen is covered by a protector film

Try tightening the screws on the side with the lift that worked for me and it did not take weeks for them to do the same thing

Will they send me another tablet or add some glue to my tab?

If you want to do it fast try tightening those screws, it worked for me too. Or of course you can send it back. They certainly won't add any glue, I don't think so. They'll replace the tablet or the screen.
Next time please use the search function, there are hundreds of threads about the screen lift.

That's what I was talking about, the screen lift is the same for everyone. Some millimeters on the left side. This is the most common issue for our N7.
Anyway, I think you should tighten the screws. That's the simplest solution to the problem, because if you change it, there is chance for the replacement to have the same or maybe another issue.
Just noticed that on the left hand corner of the screen is a small shiny patch. It is not a scratch on the outside of the screen. It appears to be between the screen and the glass. Pictures don't do it justice. It is very noticeable outside, because it is very shiny. My question is, what is it and can I fix it? It is visible whether the LCD is on or not. Doesn't look like anything has cracked, or seeped in. Wasn't there earlier...

Seems that the gorilla glas and your screen got off a little bit. Since they are glued together it could be the case. You must disassemble your device to know more
Looks like glue between digi and LCD had a failure. Is it a device you bought used?. If so whoever changed digi messed up on glue job. If its device you got new from google I would RMA......that is definitely a manufactures defect.

I bought almost new, nearly 1 year ago. Wasn't like that last week. Don't think I can RMA it to anyone. Guess if it gets worse I can replace the screen...
Thanks for the responses...

Hello Everyone,
So, I've bought a new logic board for my XT1563.
But, I think I forgot to attach some component, I see the screen lightning, the computer recognizes the phone, but I can't see anything.

The only missing part is the one that I've a red rectangle marked on the picture. I can't figure out how to remove this component from the old board and how put it on the new board. Someone knows how? Is this the cause for the display do not shows anything?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the bad english
Speaker? If similar to the Pure/Style, I think it just lifts out and is held in with some adhesive?
All ribbon cables properly seated to the display?

Yes! It's the speaker sticked with glue. I heated a little bit and sucesefull removed it from the board.
So, that's not the cause from the display not working properly. The board is damaged and I asked for refund.
Thanks!
I need to buy it!
